Abstract: A method of making multilayer foam sheet from recycled polyester sources, which may be used for packaging applications. The method comprises a co-extrusion system comprising at least two single screw extruders. A low I.V. polyester feedstock comprising up to 100% of the polyester flakes from recycled sources with an intrinsic viscosity (I.V.) of lower than 0.8 dL/g as measured by ASTM D4603-18 is directly being fed into the extruders. Supercritical physical blowing agent is introduced into the melted polyester feedstock in at least one of the extruders wherein the processing temperature is in the range of 15% lower than the melting temperature and 15% higher than the melting temperature. Then, coextruding the feedstock from the extruders of the co-extrusion system through a flat sheet die to make a multilayer foam sheet, wherein at least one layer is a foam layer comprising low I.V. polyester.

Abstract: An adjustable strike indicator apparatus for use in fly fishing is disclosed comprising a rigid center section and friction assembly comprising two layers of friction creating material. The two layers of friction creating material encase a section of leader fishing line. The friction assembly is mechanically coupled to the inside of a housing unit, such as an EVA foam ball, which can be manually repositioned on the section of fishing line by a user.
Abstract: A symmetric cryptography for encrypting and decrypting information is provided, that can be implemented efficiently in hardware or in software. The symmetric cryptography uses a key generator, so that the cryptography is not dependent on a single, static cryptography key. The key generator is a value or collection of values from which the key is generated. In some embodiments, the key generator substantially increases the computational complexity of differential cryptanalysis and other cryptographic attacks because it has more entropy than the key(s). In an embodiment, the key generator is updated with one-way functions exhibiting the avalanche effect, which generates an unpredictable sequence of keys used during the encryption or decryption process. In an embodiment, a dynamic key is derived from a key generator with a one-way function. In an embodiment, a block cipher uses a different dynamic key to encrypt each block of plaintext, where each key is derived from a different key generator.
Abstract: According to one or more examples, a system includes an observer vehicle, and a vehicle in a predetermined vicinity of the observer vehicle. The observer vehicle detects an operating condition of the vehicle using one or more perception devices. The observer vehicle determines that the operating condition does not satisfy a predetermined norm. The observer vehicle generates a message indicating the operating condition of the vehicle. The observer vehicle identifies a communication identifier of the vehicle. The observer vehicle sends the message to be received by the vehicle using the communication identifier via a vehicle to everything (V2X) communication module.

Abstract: To enhance a mono-output-only controller such as a mobile OS to support selective mono/stereo/mixed output, a stereo controller is instantiated in communication with the mono controller. The stereo controller coordinates stereo output, but calls and adapts functions already present in the mono controller for creating surface and image buffers, rendering, compositing, and/or merging. For content designated for 2D display, left and right surfaces are rendered from a mono perspective; for content designated for 3D display, left and right surfaces are rendered from left and right stereo perspectives, respectively. Some, all, or none of available content may be delivered to a stereo display in 3D, with a remainder delivered in 2D, and with comparable content still delivered in 2D to the mono display. The stereo controller is an add-on; the mono controller need not be replaced, removed, deactivated, or modified, facilitating transparency and backward compatibility.

Abstract: Described examples relate to an apparatus comprising a memory for storing a sequence of image frames and at least one processor. The at least one processor may be configured to receive a first image frame of a sequence of image frames from an image capture device and select a first portion of a first image frame. The at least one processor may also be configured to obtain alignment information and determine a first portion and a second portion of a second image frame based on the alignment information. Further, the at least one processor may be configured to determine a bounding region within the second image frame and fetch image data corresponding to the bounding region of the second image frame from memory. In some examples, the first image frame may comprise a base image and the second image frame may comprise an alternative image frame. Further, the first image frame may comprise any one of the image frames of the sequence of image frames.

Abstract: A proppant discharge system has a container with an outlet formed at a bottom thereof and a gate slidably affixed at the outlet so as to be movable between a first position covering the outlet and a second position opening the outlet, and a support structure having an actuator thereon. The container is removably positioned on the top surface of the support structure. The actuator is engageable with gate so as to move the gate from the first position to the second position. Abstract: In one aspect, a system for detecting crop levels within an agricultural harvester may include an elevator extending between a proximal end and a distal end, with the elevator being configured to carry harvested crops between the proximal end of the elevator and the distal end of the elevator. The system may also include a crop level sensor provided in operative association with the elevator. The crop level sensor may include a sensor body and a paddle pivotably coupled to the sensor body such that the paddle is configured to pivot relative to the sensor body when a crop level of the harvested crops conveyed by the elevator exceeds a threshold crop.
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a storage device, for electric grid asset detection are enclosed. An electric grid asset detection method includes: obtaining overhead imagery of a geographic region that includes electric grid wires; identifying the electric grid wires within the overhead imagery; and generating a polyline graph of the identified electric grid wires. The method includes replacing curves in polylines within the polyline graph with a series of fixed lines and endpoints; identifying, based on characteristics of the fixed lines and endpoints, a location of a utility pole that supports the electric grid wires; detecting an electric grid asset from street level imagery at the location of the utility pole; and generating a representation of the electric grid asset for use in a model of the electric grid.
Abstract: To manage a plurality of parking spaces, one or more images are acquired, with each parking space appearing in at least one image. Periodically acquired images of occupancy and identity are used in directing a customer to a parked vehicle. Periodically acquired mages of just occupancy are used in controlling respective environmental aspects, such as illumination and ventilation, of the parking spaces. For these purposes, the images are classified automatically as “vacant” or “occupied”, and are displayed along with their classifications so that the classifications can be corrected manually.
