  • Patent number: 11872558
Abstract: A well plate assembly with an interior channel system in the well plate lid provides a more efficient and uniform distribution of fluid into a receptacle positioned below the well plate lid. The channel system in the lid allows air, or other fluid, to pass through with the use of a pump to each of a plurality of channels in the receptacle. Inlet and outlet valves in the lid prevent a gasket positioned between the lid and the receptacle from releasing contact with the receptacle due to high pressure experienced during the injection of fluid into the assembly. Specifically, pressure under a specified tolerance passes through the inlet valves, and if the pressure within the channel system exceeds the limit of the outlet valve, the outlet valve opens and allows air to escape the lid safely without disturbing the fluid flow into the channels below.

  • Patent number: 11874801
Abstract: A method includes receiving a piece of data at an upper-layer server of a multi-tiered storage system comprising the upper-layer server and a block server, and determining a signature for the piece of data. A first bloom filter stored on the upper-layer server is a copy of a second bloom filter stored on the block server. The first bloom filter is checked for the signature. When a match is found in the first bloom filter, the piece of data is sent for storage at the block server, and it is verified at the block server whether a match is present for the piece of data. When a match is present, the piece of data is deduplicated. When a match is not present, the piece of data is stored. When a match is not found in the first bloom filter, the piece of data is stored in the block server.

  • Patent number: 11876200
Abstract: An electric vehicle battery pack with a thermal shield that protects internal components from, for example, battery ventilation, and in particular allows battery pack electrical components to be placed above venting ends of batteries. The thermal shield is positioned above the venting ends of one or more batteries, and various battery pack electrical components may be placed above the thermal shield. Gases and particulate matter from battery venting are thus intercepted and deflected by the thermal shield, instead of damaging battery pack electrical components. In this manner, various battery pack electrical components may be placed above battery venting ends without risk of damage. This allows for a more compact and versatile arrangement of battery pack components.

  • Patent number: 11876862
Abstract: Examples of the present disclosure describe systems and methods for establishing a persistent connection between file attachments uploaded to cloud storage and associated electronic communications. An electronic communication including an attached file may be stored and presented in a communication application user interface that includes interactive functions, such as edit and save functions. Upon selection of an interactive function, a copy of the file may be uploaded to a cloud storage location and, in some examples, opened in a productivity application. A link to the file at the cloud storage location may be stored as a property of the file that is stored with the electronic communication. Resultantly, a connection may be maintained between the file at the cloud storage location and the electronic communication. Based on this connection, the copy of the file at the cloud storage location may be opened upon a subsequent selection of an interactive function.

  • Patent number: 11875165
Abstract: Methods, apparatus, systems, and computer-readable media are provided for providing context specific schema files that allow an automated assistant to broker human-to-computer dialogs between a user and an application that is separate from the automated assistant. The context specific schema file can provide the automated assistant with sufficient data to be responsive to user queries without necessarily communicating with a remote device, such as a server. Multiple different context specific schema files can be made available to the automated assistant according to a context in which a user is interacting with the automated assistant. In this way, latency otherwise exhibited by the automated assistant can be mitigated by providing the automated assistant with the information needed to respond to a user without continually retrieving the information over a network.

  • Patent number: 11871802
Abstract: The present invention relates to improved protective pleated facial masks or respirators that comprise a pleating spacer that is adapted to enter into, and stably separate the folds of one or more of pleats of a pre-pleated mask or respirator filter, or a pre-pleated filter layer thereof. The present invention also relates to improved protective pleated facial masks or respirators that comprise a pleating spacer that is adapted to stably form one or more pleats in an initially unpleated filter of a facial mask or respirator, or a filter layer thereof. The pleating spacers of the present invention thus act to increase the effective surface area of the filters of such masks or respirators, and thereby improve airflow while preserving the ability of the mask or respirator to protect the wearer from hazardous agents.

  • Patent number: 11877413
Abstract: A printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) controls an electrically initiated device (EID) in an electric field. The PCBA includes a conductive layer, a dielectric layer, and a trans-conductive layer (TCL). The conductive layer of the PCBA designated protected areas. An electrical current with a predetermined current density is impressed in the conductive layer when the PCBA is in the electric field. The TCL is a nickel-metal composite metamaterial positioned between the conductive and dielectric layers and configured to change in shape or thickness in the electric field such that the impressed current is steered away from the conductive layer and into the dielectric layer to prevent premature activation of the EID. A system includes an outer housing, power supply, an EID such as a sonobuoy or medical device, and the PCBA, all of which are encapsulated in the housing. A method is also disclosed for manufacturing the PCBA.
