  • Patent number: 11874841
Abstract: A method includes determining a first set of query rules and receiving a query from a requesting entity. The first set of query rules is filtered to generate a proper subset of the first set of query rules by selecting only ones of the first set of query rules with parameter data comparing favorably to parameters of the query. Compliance data indicating whether the query complies with the first set of query rules is generated by determining whether the query complies with the proper subset of the first set of query rules. When the compliance data indicates the query complies with the first set of query rules, a query result is determined for the query and the query result is transmitted to the requesting entity. When the compliance data indicates the query does not comply with the first set of query rules, transmission of the query is foregone.

  • Patent number: 11875643
Abstract: A wagering system is associated with a first wagering facility, communicably coupled with a network and includes a memory operable to store betting odds on a plurality of wagering events hosted by the first wagering facility. The system includes a processor coupled to the memory and operable to receive via the network a first bet on a particular event comprising at least one of the wagering events hosted by the first wagering facility. If a second bet is received within a predetermined period of time after the first bet is received, the processor recalculates the betting odds on the particular event based upon the first bet and the second bet. If a second bet is not received within a predetermined period of time after the first bet is received, then the processor recalculates the betting odds on the particular event based upon the first bet.

  • Patent number: 11873740
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a system for storing and time shifting at least one of excess electrical power from an electrical power grid, excess electrical power from the power plant itself, or heat from a heat generating source, in the form of pressure and heat, for future use in assisting with a production of electricity. An oxy-combustion furnace is powered by a combustible fuel source, plus excess electricity, during a charge operation to heat a reservoir system containing a quantity of a thermal storage medium. During a discharge operation, a discharge subsystem has a heat exchanger which receives heated CO2 from the reservoir system and uses this to heat a quantity of high-pressure, supercritical CO2 (sCO2) to form very-high-temperature, high-pressure sCO2 at a first output thereof. The very-high-temperature, high-pressure sCO2 is used to drive a Brayton-cycle turbine, which generates electricity at a first output thereof for transmission to a power grid.

The system also includes a data store comprising a plurality of auditing records corresponding to the plurality of triggering functions in the triggering function set. Each auditing record comprises a claimant attribute. Each triggering function sends an update request to the data store in response to being notified about a failed triggering function within the triggering function set. Each update request comprises a request to change ownership of the auditing record corresponding to the failed triggering function. A triggering function is selected as a new owner of the auditing record corresponding to the failed triggering function based at least in part on a match between the claimant attribute in the auditing record and a claimant field in the update request sent by the triggering function.

  • Patent number: 11873919
Abstract: An actuation ball valve has an elongated knob which replaces prior art quarter turn valves. The knob comprises a thread that runs along a cylindrical portion of the knob, wherein the nut has a corresponding cut-out for the thread. This helps the knob move/slide in and out of the nut. The knob and nut are designed so that a specific distance can be covered in a quarter turn, as the valve moves from its horizontal (OFF) position to its vertical (ON) position. The knob and nut can be modified to travel various distances at different degrees of turn to actuate the system being controlled. The knob has a cut-out at the bottom which is used to insert one or more washers and a self-threading screw to stop the rotation of the knob with respect to the nut at it moves out in the OFF position.

  • Patent number: 11872016
Abstract: A computing system for wound tracking is disclosed herein. A server computing device receives a first image of a wound of a patient captured by a first camera. Subsequently, the server computing device receives a message generated by a computing device, the message indicating that a second camera of the computing device is to capture a second image of the wound. Responsive to receiving the message, the server computing device causes data to be transmitted to the computing device, the data based in part upon the first image. The data causes the computing device to present a semi-transparent overlay to a view of the wound on a display as perceived through a lens of the second camera, the semi-transparent overlay indicative of the first image. The computing device captures the second image via the second camera and causes the second image to be received by the server computing device.
