Abstract: A cyclo-stationary characteristic of a communications channel and/or storage media is determined. The cyclo-stationary characteristic has K-cycles, K>1. Markov transition probabilities are determined that depend on a discrete phase ?=t mod K, wherein t is a discrete time value. An encoder to optimize the Markov transition probabilities for encoding data sent through the communications channel and/or stored on the storage media. The optimized Markov transition probabilities are used to decode the data from the communication channel and/or read from the storage media.

Abstract: A method may include placing a bottom facer on a conveyor, placing a core layer on the bottom facer placing a top facer on the core layer, and pressing the bottom facer, the core layer, and the top facer in a hot press to form a panel, wherein the hot press causes the bottom facer to shrink relative to the top facer, introducing a warp into the panel such that, when installed, the warp compensates for an installation warp and the panel is flat upon installation.
Abstract: An input regarding security characteristics of a project is received. For example, a security characteristic of a project may be insecure storage of data related to confidentiality. The project is scanned for one or more security requirements based on the received security characteristics. A list of security requirements is built for the project based on the received first input. A machine learning process is used to identify addition of one or more security requirements and/or removal of one or more security requirements from the list of security requirements. A first security vulnerability scan is run using the list of security requirements with the one or more additional security requirements and/or the removed one or more security requirements. Results for the first security vulnerability scan are generated and displayed to a user.
Abstract: A method of controlling a drive axle system of a vehicle. The temperature of a first electric power source that is configured to store electrical energy and provide electrical energy to an electric motor to provide propulsion torque may be reduced when an upper temperature limit is exceeded. The temperature of the first electric power source may be increased when the temperature is below a lower temperature limit.

Abstract: A composition to provide increased hydration and to counteract the effects of alcohol. The composition includes about 10% by weight of sunflower lecithin powder; about 2.5% by weight N-acetyl cysteine; about 1.9% by weight prickly pear cactus; and about 2.5% by weight dihydromyricetin in combination with electrolytes, sugar, and water.
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure generally relates to a method including receiving user data and identifying at least a domain target for the at least a domain as a function of the domain-specific data. Also, the method may include generating a plurality of candidate schedules. Further, the method may include selecting an optimal user schedule from the plurality of candidate schedules. Moreover, the method may include presenting, at a remote device, the optimal user schedule to a user, and tracking, by the computing device, a user's progress with regard to the optimal user schedule.
Abstract: A method including obtaining information about a trailer that has been partially loaded with preloaded stacks in a manner that deviates from an original load design. The trailer is loaded with stacks of pallets including (i) the preloaded stacks that have already been loaded in the trailer and (ii) unloaded stacks that have not yet been loaded into the trailer. The method also can include determining positions of empty floor spots remaining in the trailer. The method additionally can include determining a first portion of an incremental load design for the unloaded stacks using a gap-filling pattern behind an uneven rear edge of the preloaded stacks in the trailer. The method further can include determining a second portion of the incremental load design.
Abstract: Systems and methods for bit line modulation to compensate for cell source variation are disclosed. For example, a method for reading data from non-volatile storage comprising determining a first bit line level based on a first programmed data state that is being sensed and determining a second bit line level based on a second programmed data state that is being sensed. As another example, a storage device comprising a first bit line driver configured to generate a first bit line level for a first set of bit lines corresponding to a first set of memory strings based on a first cell source level associated with the first set of memory strings a second bit line driver configured to generate a second bit line level for a second set of bit lines corresponding to a second set of memory strings based on a second cell source level associated with the second set of memory strings.
Abstract: A method performed by an electronic control unit of a vehicle, to monitor tires of the vehicle. The method includes evaluating a target location to monitor the vehicle tires. Based on the evaluation that the target location is fit to monitor the tires, the method includes initiating a monitoring mode of the vehicle. In response to initiating the monitoring mode, the method includes rotating front tires and back tires of the vehicle in opposite directions. During the rotation of the front and back tires, the method includes monitoring the rotation of the tires by using one or more vehicle sensors. The method further includes determining one or more anomalies in the vehicle tires based on the monitoring of the rotation of the front and back tires. Based on the determination, the method includes performing one or more remedial actions to mitigate the anomalies.

Abstract: In a well in a subterranean formation, treatment fluids for time-released iron control are utilized. These treatment fluids contain a time-released form of a complexing agent, wherein the complexing agent forms an insoluble complex with iron. The time-released form prevents loss of the agent prior to delivery to the desired site and at the desired time(s). Methods for controlling iron in a well in a subterranean formation utilize these treatment fluids containing a time-released form of a complexing agent and these methods create insoluble complexes of the agent with the iron to control the iron from the formation and/or well.

The database section includes a database section that includes a database operating system area, a disk area, a network area, and a database general area. The database operating system area allocates at least one portion of the main memory for database operations that is locked from access by the computing device operating system area.
Abstract: A system and method for typing training are disclosed in which a fingerprint recognition system is included. The system recognizes a typist's fingers or fingerprints while the typist types the keys on a keypad such that the system determines which finger has pressed a particular key and can notify the typist when an incorrect finger is used to press a particular key. The system is well suited for tutorial typing where the typist is reinforced to use the correct finger to type each particular key. The system may be implemented using a specially designed keyboard or it may be implemented as an application.
