Abstract: A non-transitory computer-readable medium includes computer readable instructions, that when executed by one or more processors, causes the one or more processors to perform operations including receiving a plurality of input images and receiving a guide image corresponding to at least one input image of the plurality of input images. The guide image includes additional colorization relative to the at least one input image. Additionally, the operations include generating a color mapping logic configured to adjust a color of the at least one input image to match the additional colorization of the guide image and outputting an indication of the color mapping logic.
Abstract: A method of controlling intra prediction for decoding or encoding of a video sequence, is performed by at least one processor and includes obtaining intra prediction modes including directional modes respectively corresponding to angular prediction directions, a first amount of one or more of the directional modes being excluded from the intra prediction modes based on a second amount of the intra prediction modes and a third amount of most probable modes (MPMs). The method further includes selecting, as the MPMs, two or more of the intra prediction modes from which the one or more of the directional modes are excluded, and selecting, for decoding the video sequence, one of the intra prediction modes from which the one or more of the directional modes are excluded.
Abstract: Implementations of a silicon-on-insulator (SOI) die may include a silicon layer including a first side and a second side, and an insulative layer coupled directly to the second side of the silicon layer. The insulative layer may not be coupled to any other silicon layer.
Abstract: Among other things, techniques are described for improving the trajectory estimates for an object in an environment. The technique includes receiving, by at least one processor, information indicating a presence of an object operating in an environment; determining, by the at least one processor, a trajectory of the object, the trajectory including at least a position, a speed, and a direction of travel of the object; determining, by the at least one processor, an expected route of the object, wherein the expected route is pre-planned and includes an expected future position of the object at a future time; comparing the trajectory of the object to the expected route of the object; and in accordance with the comparison that the trajectory of the object is consistent with the expected route of the object, updating the trajectory of the object based on the expected route of the object.

Abstract: A superconducting magnet system having two-stage quenching. A primary coil assembly includes a coil section configured to be superconducting when conducting current below a first critical current. An EMI shielding coil assembly includes a coil section configured to be superconducting when conducting current below a second critical current, which is electrically coupled to a variable resistor configured to be superconducting when conducting current below a third critical current and to be non-superconducting when conducting current at or above the third critical current that is less than both the first and second critical currents. Generating a magnetic flux within the EMI shielding coil assembly causes the current conducted through the variable resistor to exceed the third critical current, quenching the variable resistor and generating heat. The EMI shielding coil assembly is disposed such that the heat from the variable resistor quenches the primary coil assembly.

Abstract: A system and method for improving network performance of DNS queries. The system includes a terminal which receives DNS queries from a customer premise equipment (CPE), and supplies matching DNS records in response to the queries. The terminal monitors all traffic from the CPE and generates a preload list containing domains and a time schedule at which name resolution should be requested for the domains. A DNS preload client in the CPE receives the preload list from the terminal, and submits preload DNS queries for name resolution of domains contained in the preload list at times specified in the time schedule. Preload records supplied in response to the preload DNS queries are stored by the CPE and used to resolve DNS queries from applications installed on the CPE.

Abstract: Provided herein are systems and methods for performing dynamic adaption and correction for internal delays in devices connected to a common time-multiplexed bus. The methods allow devices to operate reliably at a higher bus frequency by correcting for inherent and unknown delays within the components and in the system by measuring the actual delays using multiple readings with the bus. Intrinsic noise and jitter are used to increase the precision of the measurements, thereby essentially using these uncertainties as self-dithering for increased measurement resolution. During adaption, delays may be adjusted in multiple step sizes to speed adaption time.
Abstract: A transaction card (smartcard) having a front “continuous” or non-continuous metal layer (ML, CML, DML) with a module opening (MO) for a dual-interface transponder chip module (TCM). Coating polyurethane resin may be used to replace (in lieu of) adhesive film layers and plastic slugs, and to fill module openings, cut-outs and voids in a metal transaction card. The amplifying element (BAC) and magnetic shielding layer may be encapsulated in a polyurethane resin. The resin may further fill and seal the module opening in the front face continuous metal layer and any voids or recesses in subsequent layers. The resin may fill and seal any discontinuity or opening in the rear discontinuous metal layer. The dual interface chip module may be implanted in a milled-out cavity in the polyurethane resin. Removed metal sections may also be encased in polyurethane resin.
