Abstract: A fabrication method comprising: forming a mask of an amorphous material over a crystalline surface of a substrate, the mask having a pattern of openings defining areas of an active region in which one or more components of one or more active devices are to be formed, the mask further defining a non-active region in which no active devices are to be formed; and forming a deposition material through the mask by an epitaxial growth process. The deposition material thus forms in the openings of the active region. The pattern of openings through the mask further comprises one or more reservoirs formed in the non-active region, each of the reservoirs being connected by the pattern of openings in the mask to at least one of the areas in the active region, and the deposition material forming in the reservoirs as part of the epitaxial growth.

Abstract: A connector includes a housing including a plug opening and a cable opening. A cable extends through the cable opening away from the housing. An electronic plug is connected to the cable within the housing and extends through the plug opening away from the housing. The electronic plug is selectively moveable relative to the housing between an extended position and a retracted position when a pulling force is applied to the cable. A bias mechanism biases the electronic plug to the extended position.

Abstract: A query processing system is operable to determine a set of query rules that includes a minimum result set size rule. A query is received from a requesting entity. A size of a result set of the query is determined. Compliance data is determined based on determining whether the size of the result set complies with the minimum result set size rule. When the compliance data indicates the size of the result set complies with the minimum result set size rule, a query result for the query is generated based on the result set, and the query result is generated to the requesting entity. When the compliance data indicates the size of the result set does not comply with the minimum result set size rule: transmission of the query result to the requesting entity is foregone.

Abstract: A base station includes a plurality of remote units (RUs), each being configured to exchange RF signals with at least one UE. The C-RAN also includes a controller communicatively coupled to the plurality of RUs via a fronthaul interface. The controller is configured to receive a public warning system (PWS) alert message. The controller is also configured to determine a number of bytes, based on a channel bandwidth of a wireless channel used by the base station, for each of a plurality of system information block messages. The plurality of system information block messages are broadcast wirelessly to the at least one UE.

Abstract: A vessel harvesting device includes a handle and a cannula assembly extending distally from the handle. The cannula assembly includes an outer tube having a flange, and at least one insert extending within the outer tube. The at least one insert defines a tool path configured to receive a surgical tool therethrough, a scope path configured to receive a surgical scope therethrough, and an insufflation channel. The device further includes a cannula gasket disposed within the flange of the outer tube and defining a plurality of apertures each in alignment with one of the tool path, the scope path, and the insufflation channel. The device further includes an insufflation tube extending from the handle through cannula gasket and the insufflation channel.

Abstract: A touch sensor device includes a first panel, a second panel, and a drive-sense circuit (DSC). The first panel that includes first electrodes arranged in a first direction and second electrodes arranged in a second direction. The second panel includes third electrodes arranged in a third direction and fourth electrodes arranged in a fourth direction. The DSC is operably coupled via a single line to a coupling of a first electrode of the first electrodes and a first electrode of the third electrodes. The DSC is configured to provide the signal, which is generated based on a reference signal, via the single line to the coupling and simultaneously to sense the signal via the single line. The DSC generates a digital signal representative of the at least one electrical characteristic associated with the first electrode of the first electrodes and/or the first electrode of the third electrodes.

Abstract: Interleukin-2 (IL-2) conjugates comprising at least one or more amino acid substitutions that bias binding to the IL-2 receptor ??c dimer over binding the IL-2 receptor ???c trimer and a non-natural amino acid at or near the N-terminus conjugated to a water-soluble polymer are described. The IL-2 conjugates are useful for treatment and prevention of cell proliferation and cancer in a patient.

Abstract: A tile-setting lippage control system and method for tiles set with mortar as floors or walls on prepared surfaces, providing tab-and-wedge pairs with a footed tab having a footplate, a wedge slot having a membrane, a multi-tapered descending portion having a thicker center, tapering base, and tapering sides, and a ridged upper portion having a reinforced upper edge, and with a tensioning wedge having a leading end, wedge bottom, tapered top edge, and wedge teeth. In use, the wedge bottom and the footplate apply a constant compressive force to two adjacent pieces of tile. The size, shape, and location of the wedge slot with the tapered top edge of the tensioning wedge accommodate a range of tile thicknesses by insertion of the tensioning wedge to different depths. Optionally, flap cuts in the ridged upper portion provide for formation of a top flap and side flaps which lock in engagement with the wedge teeth of the tensioning wedge.

Abstract: This document generally relates to techniques for adaptively triggering charging notifications for a battery-powered user device. One example includes a method or technique that can be performed on a computing device. The method or technique can include obtaining a battery charge level of a battery of a battery-powered user device and accessing user data for a user of the battery-powered user device. The user data can reflect previous usage sessions of the user with the battery-powered user device. The method or technique can also include predicting a future usage session of the user with the battery-powered user device based on the user data. The method or technique can also include estimating confidence that the battery will last through the future usage session based on the battery charge level and the predicted future usage session. The method or technique can also include triggering a charging notification prior to the future usage session based on the estimated confidence.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for interactively highlighting a region as pixel data on a screen and automatically retrieving context data associated with content of the highlighted region for contextual notetaking. The highlighted region includes at least a part of one or more windows and one or more applications associated with the one or more windows. The disclosed technology determines a context associated with content of the highlighted region and automatically retrieves context data that are contextually relevant to the content. Notes data are generated based on an aggregate of the highlighted content, window-specific context data, application-specific context data, and user-specific context data. A notetaking application retrieves stored the notes data from a notes database and displays the notes data for recall and for use. The contextual notetaking enables the user reducing a burden of performing manual operations for notetaking and utilizing notes that are enriched relevant data by context.

Abstract: A system for interpolating wireless spectrum. The system may include an antenna system operable for transmitting wireless signals and responsively receiving reflected signals. The system may additionally include an interpolation controller configured for collecting a plurality of reflection radar spectrum samples from the reflected signals, identifying an interpolation point between two or more interpolation samples of the samples, calculating an interpolation weight for the each of the interpolation samples, and determining an interpolated spectrum at the interpolation point as a summation of a product of the interpolation weights and the interpolation samples.

Abstract: An assembly includes a vehicle pillar elongated along an axis. The assembly includes seatbelt retractor and a webbing retractably extendable from the retractor. The seatbelt retractor is lockable from an unlocked position in which the webbing is extendable from and retractable into the retractor to a locked position in which the retractor restricts extension of the webbing from the retractor. A seatbelt guide is supported by the pillar. The seatbelt retractor is below the seatbelt guide. The webbing extends upwardly from the seatbelt retractor around the seatbelt guide. A releasable connection connects the seatbelt guide to the pillar when the seatbelt retractor is in the unlocked position and releases the seatbelt guide relative to the pillar when force on the webbing exceeds a threshold when the seatbelt retractor is in the locked position. An energy absorber is between the vehicle pillar and the seatbelt guide.

Abstract: A composition and method for removing a metal-containing layer or portion of a layer of a pellicle of an EUV mask are provided. The composition includes water; one or more oxidizing agents; and one or more acids. The method includes forming one or more layers over a silicon substrate with at least one of those layers includes a metal containing layer and removing the metal containing layer by contacting the metal containing layer with the composition of the disclosed and claimed subject matter.

Abstract: A method and system for remotely monitoring intoxication of a user, comprising: prompting the user to provide a breath sample at a time point; at a breath sample acquisition device, generating a breath sample signal upon reception of the breath sample from the user, and broadcasting a unique signature proximal in time to the time point; using a sensor of a mobile computing device, generating an authentication signal derived from detection of the unique signature; at a processing system in communication with the mobile computing device and the sample acquisition device, receiving the breath sample signal and the authentication signal; generating a verification assessment that validates provision of the breath sample by the user; determining a value of an intoxication metric for the user based upon the breath sample signal; and transforming the verification assessment and the value of the intoxication metric into an analysis of intoxication of the user.

Abstract: A system including a receiver to receive a set of user influences and a control system to prioritize a group of activation controls based on the set of user influences, send the group of activation controls to a client device to be displayed, each of the activation controls able to receive a first input to display one or more of a list of activities, videos, a food list, and further activation controls, and the activation controls further able to receive a second input to operate a video conferencing system on the client device.

Abstract: Risers for use in a riser assembly to provide access to below-grade chambers or vaults are provided. Risers may include an angled wall connecting a first end and a second end spaced apart along a central lengthwise axis. In an embodiment, the riser may include a plurality of latches spaced around the first end and the second end with radially extending lips and canted terminal end surfaces. A plurality of receivers may be spaced between the first plurality of latches on the first end and the second end. Alternatively, plurality of latches may include a first and second latch body extending to a terminal end that comprises a first circumferentially extending lip and a first canted terminal end surface. Risers may be configured to connect to other risers to form a riser assembly.

Abstract: Embodiments of a generative framework comprise cooperative learning of two generative flow models, in which the two models are iteratively updated based on the jointly synthesized examples. In one or more embodiments, the first flow model is a normalizing flow that transforms an initial simple density into a target density by applying a sequence of invertible transformations, and the second flow model is a Langevin flow that runs finite steps of gradient-based MCMC toward an energy-based model. In learning iterations, synthesized examples are generated by using a normalizing flow initialization followed by a short-run Langevin flow revision toward the current energy-based model. Then, the synthesized examples may be treated as fair samples from the energy-based model and the model parameters are updated, while the normalizing flow directly learns from the synthesized examples by maximizing the tractable likelihood. Also provided are both theoretical and empirical justifications for the embodiments.
