Abstract: A system comprising a radar device and a mobile device. The radar device may be configured to operate when a vehicle is turned off, detect a presence of a person in the vehicle, determine an age range of the person detected and generate an alert signal in response to a presence signal and determining that the age range of the person detected corresponds to a child. The mobile device may be configured to communicate the presence signal to the radar device and determine a movement of the mobile device. The radar device may determine a distance of the mobile device from the vehicle in response to the presence signal. The radar device may suppress the alert signal when the distance of the mobile device is within a predetermined range of the vehicle and the mobile device is moving.

Abstract: A system, apparatus and method of improved measurement of the SPF factor of sunscreen compositions. In one embodiment, a method of measuring the protection of a sunscreen composition includes exposing skin to a known intensity of light, measuring the amount of remitted light from the skin, applying sunscreen to the skin, exposing the skin to which the sunscreen has been applied the known intensity of emitted light of the spectrum of light from which the sunscreen is intended to protect the skin, measuring the amount of light remitted from the skin, and calculating a UltraViolet-A Protection Factor (UVA-PF) of the sunscreen by comparing the amount of light remitted from the skin with the sunscreen to the amount of light remitted from the skin without the sunscreen.

Abstract: Methods, apparatus and article of manufacture for computing an aggregate tax liability at a gaming device comprises receiving an indication from the gaming device of a start and end of a gaming period. A plurality of games are played by a player during the gaming period. The amount of the player's winnings and losses for each game played is monitored. A total winnings and a total losses incurred by the player during the gaming period is computed, and an aggregate amount that comprises a summation of the total winning and the total losses during the gaming period is also computed. Based on the location of the gaming device, determine a jurisdiction that governs the aggregate tax liability. Compute the aggregate tax liability based on the aggregate amount and the jurisdiction.

The method includes: receiving a first SCell BFR configuration corresponding to a first SCell, the first SCell BFR configuration including at least one of a resource list for BFD and a resource list for NBI; detecting a beam failure condition in the first SCell by measuring at least one BFD reference signal; determining a first new candidate beam index for the first SCell based on the first SCell BFR configuration; and transmitting a beam failure recovery request that includes a cell index of the first SCell in which beam failure occurs and the determined first new candidate beam index.

Abstract: Disclosed concepts relate to presenting interconnected animations in an object display interface that indicate dynamic events for related objects. A platform presents an interface that includes tiles for objects that belong to object sets (e.g., a non-fungible token (NFT) collection, a set of numbered items, a limited sneaker line). Each tile includes information individually specific to a corresponding object. A platform monitors for event data that results in a change to an aggregate parameter (e.g., a floor price, an event rate) for a given object set or that specifies one or more individual events for objects belonging to the given object set. Based on detecting the event data, the platform dynamically presents animations on certain tiles corresponding to objects of the given object set, and the animations indicate the change to the aggregate parameter or indicate the individual events. Contextual and multi-level information is thus conveyed without significant visual clutter.

Abstract: A multi-lender architecture evaluates applicant data against lending rule sets of multiple lenders. Rule sets provided by different lenders may be expressed differently. The multi-lender architecture transforms the rules in each rule set and represents the rules in a normalization grid. The normalization grid allows a single algorithm to evaluate the rules of different lenders.

Abstract: A system and method for assembling framing assemblies for use as ceiling or floor structures of modular building units using automation are disclosed. Abstract: A vehicle security system may be automatically activated when a vehicle (e.g., car or truck) is temporarily stopped. Specifically, if a car is stopped at a gas station or other type of temporary stop (e.g., where a car would not be fully closed and locked) the vehicle security system may engage (e.g., based on opening of a gas cap cover). The vehicle security system monitors for theft of contents from inside a vehicle in a temporary stopped state. The vehicle security system may lock different doors based on different conditions. In some cases, only some doors (and not all doors) will be locked. In a temporary stop condition, a vehicle may not be fully locked to engage a standard anti-theft security system. If a driver's attention is diverted during the temporary stopped condition a quick and quiet theft scenario (e.g., a reach and grab) may be attempted.

Abstract: Methods, systems, apparatuses, and computer program products are provided for coordinating a distributed database transaction. A transaction driver, such as a client machine, may initiate a distributed transaction. The transaction driver may transmit to a transaction coordinator a driver report that includes identifying information related to the distributed transaction, including an identification of participants involved in the transaction. The coordinator may determine whether participant reports, which include a status of the portion of the distributed database transaction of a particular participant, are received from each of the participants. Participant reports may also identify participants that are descendants of the reporting participant. The transaction coordinator may store, in a table, information to track the progress of the distributed transaction. Using the table, an outcome of the distributed transaction may be determined and transmitted to one or more of the involved participants.

Abstract: A system for extracting key phrase candidates from a corpus of documents, including a processor, a memory, and a program executing on the processor. The system is configured to run a key phrase model to extract one or more key phrase candidates from each document in the corpus and convert each extracted key phrase candidate into a feature vector. The key phrase model also filters the feature vectors to remove duplicates using a classifier that was trained on a set of key phrase pairs with manual labels indicating whether two key phrases are duplicates of each other, to produce remaining key phrase candidates. The system uses the remaining key phrase candidates in a computer-implemented application.

Abstract: The present invention provides for novel metabolic pathways to convert biomass and other carbohydrate sources to malonyl-CoA derived products, such as hydrocarbons and other bioproducts, under anaerobic conditions and with the net production of ATP. More specifically, the invention provides for a recombinant microorganism comprising one or more native and/or heterologous enzymes that function in one or more engineered metabolic pathways to achieve conversion of a carbohydrate source to, e.g., long-chain hydrocarbons and hydrocarbon derivatives, wherein the one or more native and/or heterologous enzymes is activated, upregulated, downregulated, or deleted. The invention also provides for processes to convert biomass to malonyl-CoA derived products which comprise contacting a carbohydrate source with a recombinant microorganism of the invention.

Abstract: Various arrangements for performing transmodulation of a forward feeder link are presented. A first data stream and a second data stream can be modulated into a higher-order modulation forward feeder link having a higher-order digital modulation scheme. A satellite can receive the higher-order modulation forward feeder link. The satellite can demodulate the higher-order modulator forward feeder link into a bit stream. This bit stream may then be remodulated and retransmitted as multiple forward user links.

Abstract: A sweetener additive for use with consumable products, such as foods and beverages, to sweeten the consumable product and provide health benefits to a consumer who consumes a consumable product. The sweetener additive has a sweetener base and one or more of selected flavonoids. The sweetener base has one or more sweeteners commonly utilized to sweeten consumable products. The flavonoids may be extracted from plants chosen from the genus Hovenia, such as the Japanese raisin tree. The selected flavonoids provide various health benefits, including stimulating naturally occurring enzymes in the consumer's body. One or more aldehyde reducing enzymes, one or more glucose reducing enzymes and/or one or more alcohol reducing enzymes may be added to the sweetener additive to supplement naturally occurring enzymes in the consumer's body to reduce the deleterious effects of aldehydes, glucose and/or alcohol on the consumer. The flavonoids will also stimulate the added enzymes.

The processing circuitry determines that a non-interleaved separate tree structure is used for coding different color components of coding tree units (CTUs) in a bitstream. The processing circuitry decodes a first color component of a plurality of CTUs from a first portion of the bitstream, and decodes a second color component of the plurality of CTUs from a second portion of the bitstream, the second portion is located after the first portion in the bitstream.
