  • Patent number: 11874747
Abstract: A method and system for stream optimized backups to a cloud object store. When considering data protection, many prominent applications engage in backup operations by streaming their respective data to the cloud; however, the stream(s) is/are often ill-optimized (e.g., non-uniform data rates, non-uniform block sizes, different backup types, non-uniform data types or formats, etc.) to be written into cloud storage. The disclosed method and system, accordingly, propose a dynamic framework through which any arbitrary backup stream may be optimized according to the profile of any specific cloud-based object data store.

  • Patent number: 11875877
Abstract: Systems and methods for prediction of the treatment outcome for immune therapy are presented in which omics data of a patient tumor sample are used. Most typically, the omics data are processed to identify mutational signatures (especially APOBEC/POLE signatures), immune checkpoint expression, and MSI status as leading indicators to predict the treatment outcome for immune therapy. Such prediction advantageously integrates various parameters that would otherwise, when individually considered, skew prediction outcome.

  • Patent number: 11874851
Abstract: Embodiments for providing end-to-end automated contextual and differentiated application level replication by dynamically creating replication profiles for asynchronous or synchronous replication at runtime to maintain any relevant service level agreement requirements. Based on relevant operating information, data sources are identified as critical and non-critical servers and their data is tagged accordingly in the replication application by using an analytics engine. The information and tags are used to produce a trained model for machine learning processes that can generated predictions for future replication operations. An error handler identifies erroneous predictions and provides a fallback mechanism to avoid any customer replication service level agreement breach at any given time.

  • Patent number: 11875543
Abstract: Systems and methods for aggregating digital ink instances within an electronic document. One system includes a memory configured to store instructions and an electronic processor coupled to the memory. The electronic processor, through execution of the instructions in the memory, is configured to receive detected interactions between a touchscreen and a digital pen representing one or more digital strokes within a canvas and determine whether the one or more digital strokes match a predetermined signifier. The electronic processor is also configured to, in response to determining that the one or more digital strokes match the predetermined signifier, determine a first digital ink instance included in the electronic document based on a position of the one or more digital strokes within the canvas, duplicate the first digital ink instance to create a second digital ink instance, and add the second digital ink instance to a designated portion of the electronic document.

  • Patent number: 11875590
Abstract: Examples provide a self-supervised language model for document-to-document similarity scoring and ranking long documents of arbitrary length in an absence of similarity labels. In a first stage of a two-staged hierarchical scoring, a sentence similarity matrix is created for each paragraph in the candidate document. A sentence similarity score is calculated based on the sentence similarity matrix. In the second stage, a paragraph similarity matrix is constructed based on aggregated sentence similarity scores associated with the first candidate document. A total similarity score for the document is calculated based on the normalize the paragraph similarity matrix for each candidate document in a collection of documents. The model is trained using a masked language model and intra-and-inter document sampling. The documents are ranked based on the similarity scores for the documents.
