Abstract: A novel and useful frame less supplemental window for fenestration suitable for use with existing windows. The supplemental window, in one embodiment, comprises plastic sheet material with bullnose edging around it. Corner braces add rigidity and strength to corners in several embodiments. An attachment mechanism secured either to the sheet material or the bullnose edge functions to fasten and/or seal the supplemental window to an existing window. The bullnose edging functions to substantially enclose (i.e. trap) a volume of air between the window pane and the plastic sheet material. The supplemental window is configured such that the layer of trapped air is of an optimum thickness within a preferred range of 0.15 to 0.75 inches to maximize thermal insulation properties of the supplemental window.

In one aspect, there is provided a method for entropy encoding data which defines a sequence comprising a plurality of components, the method comprising: for each component of the plurality of components: processing an input comprising: (i) a respective integer representation of each of one or more components of the data which precede the component in the sequence, (ii) an integer representation of one or more respective latent variables characterizing the data, or (iii) both, using an integer neural network to generate data defining a probability distribution over the predetermined set of possible code symbols for the component of the data.
Abstract: A monitoring device may receive sensor information, associated with an optical device included in a high-power fiber laser, from a set of sensors associated with the optical device. The monitoring device may determine, based on the sensor information, a set of operational properties of the optical device. The set of operational properties may include: a health property that describes a health of one or more components of the optical device, a degradation property that describes degradation of one or more components of the optical device, an environmental property that describes an environment of the optical device, or a process property associated with a process in which the optical device is being used. The monitoring device may identify whether an operational property, of the set of operational properties, satisfies a condition, and may selectively perform a monitoring action based on whether the operational property satisfies the condition.

Abstract: Display clips are disclosed that may include a front plant-receiving upper hoop and a lower support base for supporting the plant or other article. The display clips also include a rear railing support bracket with opposing spring clamps that allow the display clips to be removably mounted on railings between adjacent spindles. For installation, opposed vertical arms of the rear railing support bracket may be drawn together to elastically deform the display clip to allow the rear bracket to fit between the adjacent spindles. Once between the spindles, the opposed spring clamps can be released to spring back to engage the spindles in order to secure the bracket on the railing. The rear spring clamps may have resilient bumpers mounted thereon to cushion and help hold the display clip on the railing spindles.
Abstract: A device may receive a request for a product from a first user device and may generate first verification information based on the request. The device may provide the first verification information to a second user device and may provide first information associated with the product to the second user device, where the first information includes location information corresponding to a pick-up location and a drop-off location. The device may provide second information associated with the product to a product delivery device to permit the product delivery device to authenticate the second user device. The device may receive a verification request from the first user device based on an interaction and may generate second verification information. The device may provide the second verification information to the first user device to permit the second user device to verify the first user device for delivery of the product.
Abstract: A network controller including processing circuitry may be configured to receive dynamic position information indicative of a three dimensional position of at least one mobile communication node, compare fixed position information indicative of fixed geographic locations of respective access points of a network to the dynamic position information to determine a relative position of the at least one mobile communication node relative to at least one of the access points based on the fixed position information and the dynamic position information, and provide network control instructions to at least one network asset based on the relative position.

Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, and methods are described for wireless communications. Devices may exchange information regarding a radio link failure and/or a handover. The information may comprise a radio link failure report which may comprise an indication of packet duplication.
Abstract: Ablation catheters and systems include flexible catheter tips with a distal needle or ports for delivery of an ablative agent to a target tissue. Pressure monitoring during ablation ensure operation is performed within safe limits and with desired efficacy. Positioning elements help maintain the devices in the proper position with respect to the target tissue and also prevent the passage of ablative agent to normal tissues.
Abstract: In at least some implementations, a powertrain assembly, includes a combustion engine arranged to propel a vehicle, an electric motor arranged to propel a vehicle, a transmission coupled to the combustion engine and having a transmission housing and an output, an exhaust assembly coupled to the combustion engine, a drivetrain component driven for rotation by the output, multiple wires connected to the electric motor, and a housing. The housing has a first housing part and a second housing part that are coupled together to define an interior between them. At least one of the first housing part and the second housing part is coupled to the transmission housing, the wires are received within the interior and the housing is received between the transmission housing and both a portion of the exhaust assembly and a portion of the drivetrain component.

Abstract: The invention relates to systems and methods for distributing market data. In one implementation, the system may generate a new encryption key at each market data update, and use that key to encrypt each market participant's data in that update before it is sent. Among other factors, characteristics of modern computer networks may cause participants to be sent (and to receive) their encrypted data in that update at different times. After the participants have all been sent their data in that update the system may then simultaneously transmit to those participants the key that will enable them to decipher their data. In an implementation, the key may be transmitted via a multicast transport protocol which can be used to ensure all recipients receive it at the same time. In this manner the invention may ensure that although participants receive their data in a given update at different times, they are unable to decipher that data until substantially the same time.
Abstract: A three-dimensional memory device includes an alternating stack of insulating layers and electrically conductive layers located over a substrate, an array of memory opening fill structures located within an array of memory openings vertically extending through the alternating stack, and a drain-select-level isolation structure vertically extending through drain-select-level electrically conductive layers between two rows of memory opening fill structures. The drain-select-level isolation structure may comprise a low-k dielectric material or an air gap.
Abstract: A method of caching large data objects of greater than 1 GB, comprising: populating a sharded cache with large data objects backfilled from a data store; servicing large data object requests from a plurality of worker nodes via the sharded cache, comprising deterministically addressing objects within the sharded cache; and if a number of requests for an object within a time exceeds a threshold: after receiving a request from a worker node for the object, sending the worker node a redirect message directed to a hot cache, wherein the hot cache is to backfill from a hot cache backfill, and wherein the hot cache backfill is to backfill from the sharded cache.
Abstract: A wireless control device, such as a system controller for a load control system, may comprise a light-transmissive cover for an antenna that may be illuminated to provide feedback to a user of the load control system. The light-transmissive cover may receive light energy from a light-generating circuit to provide a visible display of the light energy. The wireless control device may be mounted to, for example, a ceiling, and the light-transmissive cover may extend from the wireless control device (e.g., down from the ceiling). The light-transmissive cover may be viewed by a user at large viewing angles and at a distance away from the wireless control device, which may simplify and improve reliability of commissioning of the load control system as well as speed up troubleshooting of the load control system after commissioning is completed.
