Abstract: Data is received regarding vehicle braking events, each event occurring on one of a plurality of vehicles, and each event associated with a location. A determination is made that the braking events correspond to a pattern. Based on determining that the braking events correspond to the pattern, a first location is identified. In response to identifying the first location, at least one action is performed.

Abstract: To reduce sparks and arcing if an RJ plug is removed from an RJ jack while a PoE signal is present, the jack includes contact terminals for making electrical contact with blades of the plug. At least two primary contact terminals have first engagement portions positioned a first distance from the opening. At least one secondary and/or tertiary contact terminal has a second and/or third engagement portion, which is positioned less than the first distance from the opening. The engagement portions are the last portions of the contact terminals to make electrical contact with corresponding blades of the plug upon removal of the plug. At least one of the first engagement portions is formed of a first material different from a second material used to form at least one of the second or third engagement portions. One of the materials is formed to resist damage from sparks better than the other material.

Abstract: Systems and methods for data transmission within the ultra-wideband ranging protocol include a first UWB device which determines a transmission block comprising a plurality of rounds each representing a period of time. The first UWB device performs a first wireless communication to perform ranging between the first UWB device and a second UWB device, within a first round of the plurality of rounds. The first UWB device may perform a second wireless communication to communicate data between the first UWB device and the second UWB device, which may be within the first round or a second round.

Abstract: A fluid injection system and a fluid verification system for confirming that a syringe, containing a fluid for injection, is fully filled with fluid and neither has free space (i.e., air) near the distal end thereof when the syringe is provided in an upright position nor contains air bubbles. Imaging processing techniques and systems are also provided to determine various injection parameters and to verify the type and certain properties of fluid that is present within a syringe.

Abstract: Environmentally-clean aqueous-based fire inhibitor biochemical compositions in liquid phase that can be atomized and sprayed, over a broad ambient working temperature range, as a fine mist over ground surfaces, native ground fuel, living plants, trees and shrubs and when dried forming a durable fire protective coatings having improved surface coverage, and being an effective proactive wildfire inhibitor. These environmentally-clean aqueous-based fire inhibitor biochemical compositions can also be applied to wood products, and wood-framed and mass-timber buildings, decks and anything of a combustible nature, to provide proactive wildfire protection without compromising wood-fiber strength or producing volatile organic components (VOCs).

Abstract: An ice maker includes a refrigeration system, a water system, and a control system. The control system includes an air fitting disposed above the sump of the water system, a pneumatic tube, and a controller including a processor and an air pressure sensor. The air fitting defines a chamber in which air may be trapped and includes one or more openings through which water in the sump is in fluid communication with the air in the chamber. The pneumatic tube is in fluid communication with the air pressure sensor and the air fitting. The air pressure sensor is adapted to sense a pressure corresponding to a sump water level. The controller is adapted to control the operation of the refrigeration system and the operation of the water system based upon the sump water level. To avoid errors in water level measurements due to temperature changes, the system uses the pressure sensor data's noise level to detect when the water level reaches the bottom of the air fitting.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure involve systems and methods for a service activation system in a telecommunications network that utilizes one or more generic container files for building the configuration file to instantiate the service on the network. A request for service from a network may be received from an order entry system that includes specific information about the requested service. A collection of generic configuration files may be selected based on the information included in the service order and arranged to build a configuration file to be executed on the network. The service activation system may also include a component or group of components to verify a received service order and alter the service order with default information or data where applicable. The configuration file may also be executed on the network through one or more drivers communicating with the affected devices to configure the one or more network devices.

Abstract: An example of a system, consistent with the present disclosure, may include a motor-battery assembly. The motor-battery assembly may include a housing defining one or more cavities, a suction motor configured to be fluidly coupled to a debris compartment of a vacuum cleaner for generating air flow through the vacuum cleaner for entraining debris, one or more batteries at least partially disposed within at least one of the one or more cavities, and a motor/battery controller at least partially disposed within at least one of the one or more cavities, the motor/battery controller configured to control power provided to the suction motor and to regulate charging and/or discharging of the one or more batteries.

Abstract: Systems and methods to perform behavioral planning in an autonomous vehicle from a reference state involve generating a set of actions of a fixed size and fixed order according to a predefined methodology. Each action is a semantic instruction for a next motion of the vehicle. A set of trajectories is generated from the set of actions as an instruction indicating a path and a velocity profile to generate steering angles and accelerations for implementation by the vehicle. A trajectory filter is applied to filter the set of trajectories such that unfiltered trajectories are candidate trajectories. Applying the trajectory filter includes assessing the path and velocity profile indicated by each of the set of trajectories. A selected trajectory is used to control the vehicle or the action that corresponds to the selected trajectory is used in trajectory planning to generate a final trajectory that is used to control the vehicle.

Abstract: An ember and flame resistant resettable automatic soffit vent includes a tray with ventilation openings formed in its floor. A mesh screen resides on the floor of the tray spanning the ventilation openings. A flat slide resides atop the screen and also has ventilation openings that match those of the tray. The slide has an open position wherein its ventilation openings align with those of the tray to allow airflow through the vent and a closed position wherein its ventilation openings are misaligned with the ventilation openings of the tray to close off airflow through the vent. The vent can be manually moved between its open and closed positions and one or more tension springs and a thermal link assembly cooperate to move the slide to its closed position if the vent is exposed to a high temperature cause by a fire very near a home.

The weighting platform may be suspended from the load cells, such as with wire rope bolts, such that a force applied to the column does not affect weighment of an object on the weighing platform. The apparatus may include a kingpin-less swivel rear wheel, a rear wheel brake to preclude rotation of the rear wheel about an axle of the rear wheel, and an actuator to actuate the rear brake when the rear wheel is in any position over a 360-degree range. The wheels may be positioned adjacent respective corners of a triangularly shaped base tubing, and the apparatus may further include a clinometer.

An authority limit within the work zone may be determined by the dispatcher processor, and an authority exceeded signal is sent to the rail vehicle when the rail vehicle is determined to exceed the authority limit.
