Publication number: 20230416461Abstract: Described herein are poly(ether ketone ketone) (“PEKK”) polymers having improved processability. It was surprisingly discovered that by selectively controlling the relative amounts of reactants during the synthesis, PEKK polymers having unexpectedly lower melt viscosities can be obtained. More particularly, by selectively controlling the relative amounts of monomers used to form recurring units of the PEKK polymer, in conjunction with selective control of other reaction components, the resulting PEKK polymers had reduced viscosities, relative to PEKK polymers synthesized by using tradition reaction schemes (“traditional PEKK polymers”). By providing PEKK polymers with lower melt viscosities, the PEKK polymers described herein have improved processability.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 1, 2023Publication date: December 28, 2023Applicant: SOLVAY SPECIALTY POLYMERS USA, LLCInventor: Chantal Louis

Publication number: 20230419970Abstract: A neural speech-to-meaning system is trained on speech audio expressing specific intents. The system receives speech audio and produces indications of when the speech in the audio matches the intent. Intents may include variables that can have a large range of values, such as the names of places. The neural speech-to-meaning system simultaneously recognizes enumerated values of variables and general intents. Recognized variable values can serve as arguments to API requests made in response to recognized intents. Accordingly, neural speech-to-meaning supports voice virtual assistants that serve users based on API hits.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 5, 2023Publication date: December 28, 2023Applicant: SoundHound AI IP, LLCInventors: Sudharsan Krishnaswamy, Maisy Wieman, Jonah Probell

Publication number: 20230417572Abstract: An autonomous vehicle includes sensors proximate to one or more wheels that capture wheel sensor data describing wheel-road interactions. The wheel sensor data may be processed to determine characteristics of the road as the vehicle travels, describing the relative audible, vibratory, or pressure effects of the wheel-road interaction. The wheel sensor data and/or characteristics may then be used to generate a road sensor map describing locations of received wheel sensor data and/or detected road conditions. The wheel sensor data and/or road sensor map may also be used to refine or correct localization of the AV within the environment. In navigation, the AV may use a prior road sensor map for route planning and control, for example to prioritize movement over relatively smooth roads or to navigate to regions with unmapped or aging road information.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 24, 2022Publication date: December 28, 2023Applicant: GM Cruise Holdings LLCInventor: Burkay Donderici

Publication number: 20230421476Abstract: A method is disclosed for testing network devices for networks with a large traffic load utilizing one or more traffic load amplifiers to amplify the traffic load. The load amplifiers connected to the device may receive packets of an initial traffic load, multiply or copy the received packet, alter the destination address information in the header of the copied packets to generate packets with different destination addresses, and transmit the altered packets back to the device for further routing. The altered or copied packets may then be routed via the device back to the load amplifier for further amplification. Through this amplification process, a small initial load of packets may be amplified over and over by the load amplifiers until a target traffic load is achieved at the device to test the device performance at a large traffic load.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 8, 2023Publication date: December 28, 2023Applicant: Level 3 Communications, LLCInventors: Jason Huselton, Noah Weis, Kenton Seward
