Publication number: 20230421756Abstract: In some embodiments, a method maintains a list that is configured to store motion vectors from one or more blocks that have been previously processed in a frame. When a current block is in a first set of positions in the frame, the method resets the list by storing a motion vector with a horizontal component and a vertical component equal to zero in the list. The motion vector with the horizontal component and the vertical component equal to zero from the list is used to transcode the current block. When the current block is not in the first set of positions, the method uses a motion vector from the list to transcode the current block.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 11, 2023Publication date: December 28, 2023Applicant: HULU, LLCInventors: Wenhao Zhang, Deliang Fu, Juncheng Ma, Chen Liu

Publication number: 20230419210Abstract: Methods and systems for estimating a number of people at a point of interest using vehicle data are provided. In some examples, vehicle data is received, from a plurality of vehicles, that corresponds to a geographic boundary encompassing a point of interest. From the vehicle data, a first subset of data corresponding to door sensor information is extracted. Based on the first subset of data, an estimated number of people within the geographic boundary, during a specified period of time, is determined. An indication corresponding to the estimated number of people within the geographic boundary is generated.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 22, 2022Publication date: December 28, 2023Applicant: Microsoft Technology Licensing, LLCInventors: Leon Oliver STENNETH, Catalin Bogdan CAPOTA

Publication number: 20230418748Abstract: Techniques and apparatuses are described that use transaction queue lengths to alter a clock frequency that controls access to a memory of an electronic device. Techniques include detecting that a transaction queue threshold has been violated, initiating a counter to measure a time duration, determining that the transaction queue threshold continues to be violated for the time duration and, in response, altering the clock frequency that controls access to the memory of the electronic device.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 18, 2020Publication date: December 28, 2023Applicant: Google LLCInventors: Derek James Basehore, Sonny Rao

Publication number: 20230421603Abstract: Embodiments provide system and methods for a DDoS service using a mix of mitigation systems (also called scrubbing centers) and non-mitigation systems. The non-mitigation systems are less expensive and thus can be placed at or near a customer's network resource (e.g., a computer, cluster of computers, or entire network). Under normal conditions, traffic for a customer's resource can go through a mitigation system or a non-mitigation system. When an attack is detected, traffic that would have otherwise gone through a non-mitigation system is re-routed to a mitigation system. Thus, the non-mitigation systems can be used to reduce latency and provide more efficient access to the customer's network resource during normal conditions. Since the non-mitigation servers are not equipped to respond to an attack, the non-mitigation systems are not used during an attack, thereby still providing protection to the customer network resource using the mitigation systems.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 6, 2023Publication date: December 28, 2023Applicant: Level 3 Communications, LLCInventors: Robert Smith, Shawn Marck, Christopher Newton

Publication number: 20230419189Abstract: The exemplary embodiments may provide a stacked machine learning model ensemble pipeline architecture selector that selects a well-suited stacked machine learning model ensemble pipeline architecture for a specified configuration input and a target data set. The stacked machine learning model ensemble pipeline architecture selector may generate and score possible stacked machine learning model ensemble pipeline architectures to locate one that is well-suited for the target data set and the conforms with the configuration input. The stacked machine learning model ensemble pipeline architecture selector may use genetic programming to generate successive generations of possible stacked ensemble pipeline architectures and to score those architectures to determine how well-suited they are. In this manner, the stacked machine learning model ensemble pipeline architecture selector may converge on an architecture that is well-suited, for example, that meet one or more scores, evaluation metrics, and/or the like.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 24, 2022Publication date: December 28, 2023Applicant: Capital One Services, LLCInventors: Michael LANGFORD, Jakub KRZEPTOWSKI-MUCHA, Krishna BALAM
