Abstract: Apparatus and associated methods relate to a pest repelling magnetic field generating device (PRD) having a temperature sensor to detect the temperature of a solenoid coil during operation. The detected temperature to be used to ensure that the PRD operates within an ideal temperature range. Additionally, a fan is oriented within a housing of the PRD to force the flow of air from inside a housing of the PRD to outside a housing the PRD. In an illustrative example, the PRD may shut off if the temperature of the solenoid coil moves outside the ideal temperature range. By operating the PRD within an ideal temperature range, the service life of the PRD may be extended. Further, the fan may mitigate dust collection within the housing of the pest repelling magnetic field generating device.

The surface mountable reflectors are usable in a radiation emitting diode assembly including a diode solder-mounted to the circuit substrate with the surface mountable reflector affixed to the circuit substrate.

Abstract: Embodiments relate to computer systems and a computer implemented method designed to support and enable a multi-level authentication protocol within a communication platform. The system incorporates a virtual private server (VPS) configured to generate a virtual private network (VPN) certificate without domain name server (DNS) resolution. The VPN certificate is hard coded within a target server, and supports an encrypted communication channel as a first authentication level. A communication platform is provided or supported within the target server, and is further configured to support intra-platform asymmetric encrypted communication at a second authentication level. Accordingly, one or more client machines are selectively directed through the encrypted communication channel to the communication platform where communicate between or among client machines is support via asymmetric encryption techniques.

Abstract: The present disclosure describes a system and method for providing dynamic remediation of a pluggable streaming device issue, such as a customer premises equipment (CPE) device. Sometimes, various features of the CPE device to begin to fail. For example, synchronization of the audio and video streams may drift, media rental purchases may time out, or playback may throttle to low quality. Such failures can be caused by device or network issues. The present disclosure describes a CPE remediation system that operates to identify a failure associated with playing media streamed by the CPE device. The CPE remediation system may further determine a solution to remediate an observed CPE device-related failure. In some examples, the CPE remediation process may further provide or perform one or more actions included in the determined solution. In some examples, the solution may include a warm or a cold reboot.

Abstract: An electrified vehicle includes a multi-phase electric machine having a rotor with a number of magnetic pole pairs and secured for rotation with an output shaft. A parking gear secured for rotation with the output shaft has external teeth configured to selectively engage a parking pawl. The parking gear, the rotor, and the output shaft include complementary angular alignment features to angularly orient the parking gear relative to the rotor in an angular position offset by an index angle from one of the magnetic poles of the rotor such that occurrences of the parking pawl being engaged with the parking gear during dead time periods of an inverter powering the electric machine are reduced or eliminated.

Abstract: A computing device (e.g., a server, a cloud-based device, a request management device, etc.), for example, such as a computing device associated with a vehicle dealership and/or the like, may receive a plurality of transaction requests, such as requests to purchase, lease, and/or finance a vehicle. Each transaction request may include user information associated with the transaction, such as a phone number, a home/mailing address, email address, a credit score, vehicle trade-in information, and/or any other data elements. For each transaction request, the computing device may invoke one or more microservices to verify data elements of user information and use responses from the microservices to rank each transaction requests on its potential to progress to a completed transaction.

Abstract: A lock assembly for use with an inversion apparatus includes a ratchet plate, a position lock pawl, and a safety lock pawl. The ratchet plate is operatively connected to a first tube portion and is accessible through a slot in a second tube portion of the inversion apparatus' securing assembly. The position lock pawl is pivotally connected to the second tube portion to selectively engage the ratchet plate through the slot. The safety lock pawl is pivotally connected to the second tube portion. The safety lock pawl does not engage the position lock pawl when the user support is in the loading position and is configured and arranged to pivot relative to the second tube portion as the user support moves from the loading position into the inverted position to engage the position lock pawl.

The apparatus includes drain-side select gate transistors for coupling to a drain-side of each of a plurality of memory holes of memory cells and configured to retain a transistor threshold voltage. The memory apparatus also includes a control means coupled to the drain-side select gate transistor of each of the plurality of memory holes. The control means is configured to select the transistor threshold voltage of the drain-side select gate transistors as a stable transistor threshold voltage for a grouping of the memory cells to minimize shifting of the transistor threshold voltage following a plurality of read operations of the memory cells. The control means is also configured to program the transistor threshold voltage of the drain-side select gate transistor of the plurality of memory holes associated with the grouping of the memory cells to the stable transistor threshold voltage.

Abstract: A system is provided to assist a user having a medical emergency including computerized electronic units attached to or adhered to emergency medication dispensers or emergency medical devices. And the application is also provided on users' smartphones enabling registration of the electronic units and type of emergency medication or medical device they are adhered to or attached to. The application provides a user interface enabling a first user to activate alerts on the electronic unit to locate the medical dispenser or emergency medical device. The user interface enables the users to activate emergency medical help causing a connected server to locate a second user to assist in a vicinity of the user requiring medical assistance having the medication or medical device required by the first user.

Abstract: A voice call is established between two or more computing devices. The voice call may be, for example, audio only or audio and video. One computing device, referred to as a near-end device, receives a digital representation of background noise captured at another computing device, referred to as a far-end device. The near-end device captures voice audio from the user of the near-end device and adjusts the voice audio based at least in part on the digital representation of the background noise at the far-end device. The near-end device then transmits the adjusted voice audio to the far-end device for playback at the far-end device.

Abstract: An environment is captured with a set of sensors to generate a thermal image from an infrared sensor and a visual image from a visual light camera. The thermal image is used to predict movement of objects detected in the environment. The thermal image may be combined with the visual image as a channel of data with the visual image as an input to a prediction model that predicts object movement. Alternatively, the visual image may be used as a guide to identify relevant portions of the thermal image. Objects may be detected and segmented in the visual image and the corresponding portions of the thermal image are segmented and used to predict thermal characteristics for the object. The thermal characteristics may then be used for object movement prediction.
