Abstract: A radar system includes a radio frequency (RF) section that is controllable to focus operation in one of a plurality of fields of view (FOVs) and a control section configured to identify a side of the vehicle in which the radar system is installed and direct the RF section to focus transmission and reception in one of a first or a second FOV based on the side of the side of the vehicle in which the radar system is installed. A method includes: transmitting RF energy and listening for a reflection from a predetermined target mounted on one side of a vehicle; determining a whether a reflection has been detected; and directing the RF section to focus operations to the FOV that is predetermined for use for a radar system mounted on a same side of the vehicle as the predetermined target when a reflection has been detected.

Abstract: A system for multi-factorial physiologically informed refreshment selection using artificial intelligence, the system comprising a computing device, the computing device designed and configured to retrieve a biological extraction pertaining a user, wherein the biological extraction contains an element of user data, select, a nutritional machine-learning model using the biological extraction, determine a geolocation of the user, identify a provider located within the geolocation of the user, wherein the provider generates a plurality of refreshment possibilities, determine the compatibility of the plurality of refreshment possibilities utilizing the biological extraction and the nutritional machine learning model wherein the compatibility comprises a numerical score associated with a tolerance of the user, and display the compatibility of the plurality of refreshment possibilities.

Abstract: To provide control for an autonomous vehicle based on a physical object near an autonomous vehicle (AV), the AV monitors its environment with an imaging sensor, such as an infrared sensor or visible light camera. The imaging sensor captures a sensor view of the environment and an encoded signal is detected in the sensor view. The encoded signal may be emitted by a mobile device with a respective emitter for the imaging sensor, such as an IR emitter or a visual light source. After detecting the encoded signal, the AV identifies the location of the mobile device within the sensor view and the environment. Then, based on the determined location in the environment, the AV performs a control action, such as navigating to a stopping place near the location.

Abstract: Technology is disclosed herein for a memory system that balances peak Icc with programming speed. A memory system applies voltages to respective word lines during a verify operation that balances peak Icc with programming speed. The voltages for which the ramp rate is controlled include a read pass voltage applied to unselected word lines and a spike voltage applied to the selected word line at the beginning of the verify. The ramp rate of the voltages is slow enough to keep the peak Icc during verify to a target peak Icc regardless of which word line is selected for verify. However, the ramp rate of the voltages to the word lines during verify is fast enough to make use of the target peak Icc in order achieve faster programming. Therefore, the impact on programming time is minimized while staying withing the allowed peak Icc.

Abstract: The present invention provides an electronic data document (EDD) and related system and method for use in a computerized clinical trial verification system. In an exemplary embodiment, the EDD is authenticated by the creator and validated by the receiver, and comprises an image of a source document (SD) that comprises a masked record of at least one interaction between a clinical trial investigator and a patient enrolled in a clinical trial, at least one revealed portion of the SD that includes evidence relevant to at least one question in a clinical trial questionnaire, and at least one annotation connecting the revealed portion to the at least one question. The present invention provides a computerized system and method for allowing a clinical trial investigator to answer questions from a clinical trial questionnaire pertinent to a clinical trial of a medical treatment using encrypted and partially masked electronic documents comprising images of original patient records.

The events can be sporting events, entertainment events, and/or the like. For example, in the context of sporting events, a determination is made as to what types of sports, teams, leagues, players, plays, and/or the like are of interest to the user. In at least one embodiment, the amount of time available to the user can be obtained, so that the length of the highlight sequence can be tailored to the available time. A customized highlight sequence is then generated and presented, containing those specific portions of the sporting events that are likely to be of interest, arranged in a manner that is likely to be entertaining to the user and comports with the time restrictions.

Abstract: Self-cleaning electrochemical cells, systems including self-cleaning electrochemical cells, and methods of operating self-cleaning electrochemical cells are disclosed. The self-cleaning electrochemical cell can include a plurality of concentric electrodes disposed in a housing, for example, a cathode and an anode, a fluid channel defined between the concentric electrodes, a separator residing between the concentric electrodes, first and second end caps coupled to respective ends of the housing, and an inlet cone. The separators may be configured to localize the electrodes and dimensioned to minimize a zone of reduced velocity occurring downstream from the separator. The end caps and inlet cone may be dimensioned to maintain fully developed flow and minimize pressure drop across the electrochemical cell.

Abstract: Medical devices useful in interventional procedures performed under magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) are described herein. A medical device comprises a body member and a marker formed of work-hardened stainless steel attached to the body member. The stainless steel of the marker has an ultimate tensile strength of between about 100 KSI and about 225 KSI. The marker can be attached to the body member in a manner that contributes work to the stainless steel or in a manner that does not contribute work to the stainless steel. Methods of making medical devices, medical imaging methods, and methods of performing interventional medical treatment are also described herein.

The electrochemical cell also includes a porous negative electrode physically separated from the positive electrode, and an electrolyte disposed in pores of the positive and negative electrodes. The electrolyte may include a lithium salt, an electrolyte additive having one or more alkene amide groups, and a solvent. The negative electrode can include a silicon-based negative electroactive material.
