Abstract: Nestable containers are provided for installation within a compatible cutting board or for stand-alone use. A first container features a lip along at least part of a circumference of the container, and a ledge below the lip that also extends along at least part of the circumference. A second container features a cooperative lip that, when the second container is nested within the first container, engages or rests upon the ledge of the first container. The lips and/or the ledge may be continuous or discontinuous.

Abstract: An aerosol-generating device includes a housing, a lid, a mouthpiece, and at least one UV diode. The housing defines a capsule-receiving cavity. The lid is configured to close the housing. The lid is fixedly coupled by a hinge to the housing at a first point and releasably couplable to the housing at a second point that is different from the first point. The mouthpiece is couplable to the lid opposite the housing such that air entering the housing and drawn through the capsule-receiving cavity exits out of the mouthpiece. The at least one UV diode is configured to sanitize an interior of the aerosol-generating device when the at least one UV diode is actuated.

Abstract: An arrow rest with a decoupled launch assembly comprises a rest rotatably mounted to a shaft and coupled to the shaft via a biasing device. An actuator connects the shaft to a portion of a bow allowing movement of the bow to actuate the decoupled launch assembly between a raised state and dropped state by rotation of the shaft. The biasing device flexibly couples movement of the rest and shaft permitting the shaft to further rotate after a dropped state has been achieved.

Abstract: A device, system and method notifying a selected recipient that a driver of a vehicle has exceeded a posted speed limit. The process includes determining, by the computing device located within the vehicle, that the driver of the vehicle committed a violation based on the information about the vehicle and the posted speed limit associated with a roadway on which the vehicle is traveling. Sending, from the computing device located in the vehicle to a remote computing device, an indication of the violation, wherein the indication about the violation includes the information about the vehicle, wherein the remote computing device is configured to instantly notify the selected recipient that the driver of the vehicle has committed the violation, wherein the selected recipient is notified by sending a notification to recipient.

Abstract: Embodiments are provided for managing the operation of sensors in an electronic device. According to certain aspects, the electronic device may detect a change in motion from a set of lower-sensitivity sensor data generated by a sensor(s) operating in a lower-sensitivity mode. When the change in motion is detected and during a timeout window, the sensor(s) may generate an additional set of lower-sensitivity sensor data and a set of higher-sensitivity sensor data. The electronic device may initially confirm the change in motion based on analyzing the set of higher-sensitivity sensor data. Further, the electronic device may determine that the additional set of lower-sensitivity does not indicate an additional change in motion, and may deem the confirmation of the change in motion as a false positive.

Abstract: A game play device includes a gesture detection system that utilizes a single inertial measurement unit (IMU) and associated gesture detection software executing on a processor of the game play device. Unique gesture movements as detected by the game play device may be construed as menu navigation and control commands used to select audible, visible and tactile features relating to the game play device as well as game play modes executed by the game play device. The game play device immerses the user into an authentic game play experience using aesthetic qualities and multi-dimensional capabilities that are imagined to be those consistent with authentic magic wands used by actual wizards.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method including determining an operational mode of a vehicle based on data accumulated from at least one vehicle information system associated with the vehicle; selecting one of a plurality of power consumption profiles for the vehicle based on the determined operational mode; and applying the selected one of the power consumption profiles to the vehicle.

Abstract: An electronic trading venue (ETV) may prioritize maker orders that specify or are associated with cancel delay values by selecting a maker order to be matched with taker orders before competing maker orders, at the same price level for a given instrument, that have smaller or no cancel delay values. Such prioritization may occur even if the competing maker orders were received before the maker order. A cancel delay value indicates an amount of time that must pass after a request to cancel a maker order is received before the ETV actually cancels the maker order. Thus, in exchange for prioritization, maker orders will be subject to a cancelation delay that starts after a cancel request is received and during which a maker order will not be canceled. Takers may benefit from this by being able to match with a maker order before it can be canceled.

Abstract: Methods and systems are described herein for manipulating a communication acceptance screen, manipulating an interactive communication acceptance icon, and restricting access to accounts based on voice communication parameters. In particular, when a communication is detected from one device to another device, that communication may be risky. Thus, the risk is mitigated by giving a user information about the source of the communication to give a user a chance to reject the communication. In addition, in instances where the user accepts the communication, the system enables monitoring the communication and restricting any accounts that are disclosed within the communication.

Abstract: A leak resistant lid assembly for a beverage container where the lid assembly has a straw or similar means for a user to drink liquid is disclosed. The lid assembly may include a base, a straw that extends through the base, a gasket, and a grommet. The base may have a primary opening that receives the straw and a secondary opening in the top of the base, where the secondary opening acts as a vent to prevent a vacuum from occurring when drinking from a straw. The grommet may have a spiral ring may help create a flow path for air from inside the beverage container to the exterior environment.

Abstract: An external fixation system includes first and second fixation members having first and second pluralities of mounting holes, respectively. The first and second plurality of holes are configured to receive first and second ends of a plurality of struts, each strut having a default or initial mounting position. A simulation of the correction may be performed with the struts in the default positions, but it may be determined that the correction is not achievable. Additional simulations of the correction may be performed with the ends of the struts in different mounting positions to determine if other mounting positions of the struts allow the correction to be completed. During the correction, if one of the struts reaches a maximum length, it may be disconnected and reconnected to a different mounting hole so that, after being reconnected, the strut may be further increased in length to continue the correction.

The interposer in implementations includes an electrically conductive material coupled with an electrically insulative material. The interposer may facilitate a gate node of the package being fully encapsulated within the package without being exposed through an encapsulant of the package. Fully encapsulating the gate node within the package may allow a contact pad of another node to have a larger area exposed through the encapsulant to provide greater heat transfer to a printed circuit board (PCB).

Abstract: Embodiments of the innovation relate to a dermal patch, comprising a substrate; a set of projections coupled to the substrate and configured to be at least partially insertable into skin, at least a portion of each projection of the set of projections comprising a biodegradable material; and a ghrelin blocker material encapsulated in the plurality of projections. The set of projections are coupled to the substrate via an adhesive that is configured to be dissolved within the skin after the patch is applied to the skin for a predetermined time, thus resulting in separation of the set of projections from the substrate. Once embedded in the skin, the protrusions can degrade and release the anti-ghrelin antibody encapsulated therein. The released anti-ghrelin antibody can find its way into the subject's circulatory system.

Abstract: A multipoint lock assembly for a swinging door panel includes a mortise housing that is installed in a mortise along the non-hinged edge of the door panel. A latch operating mechanism and a lock operating mechanism are disposed in the mortise housing. Each of these mechanisms is designed to be operated with a standard rotary operator such as a handle or knob for the latch operating mechanism and a key and/or thumb turn for the lock operating mechanism. The latch operating mechanism is transitionable between left- and right-hand orientations and includes a deadlatch feature that prevents forced back-drive. Turning the key and or thumb turn of the lock operating mechanism extends a deadbolt and extends upper and lower shoot bolts from edges of the door. When extended, the shoot bolts also are secured against forced back-drive by unique mechanism configurations.

Abstract: A segmented closure system for providing a closure strip of variable length capable of allowing the efficient opening and closing of an object to form a barrier such as a temporary door. The segmented closure system generally includes a pair of closure members each including a magnet for removably securing the closure members together. Each closure member includes a fastener for securing the each closure member to an object, such as to a pair of adjoining plastic sheets to form a temporary barrier such as a door. Each closure member may include mating connectors for linking the pair of closure members together end-to-end in a linear or angled orientation. Each closure member may include a pivotable segment connected to its main body by a connector pin. Temporary barriers of variable sizes may be easily constructed by interlinking multiple closure members together on opposite edges of a pair of plastic sheets.

Abstract: A floor mat for a vehicle includes a first panel, a second panel pivotably coupled to the first panel, and an actuator operably coupled to and positioned beneath the first panel. The actuator is operable to move the first panel in a vehicle-forward direction from a first position to a second position. Movement of the first panel toward the second position causes the second panel to pivot relative to the first panel from a lowered position to a raised position. In the lowered position of the second panel, the vehicle-uppermost portion of the second panel is positioned at a first vehicle-elevation. In the raised position of the second panel, the vehicle-uppermost portion of the second panel is positioned at a second vehicle-elevation that is greater than the first vehicle-elevation.

Abstract: Liquid pharmaceutical compositions of tofacitinib or its pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof are described, which are suitable for oral administration, and which are stable under varying storage conditions for extended periods of time. Methods of treating auto-immune disorders are also described, using the stable liquid pharmaceutical compositions of tofacitinib. A stable liquid pharmaceutical composition of tofacitinib according to the invention comprises of (a) tofacitinib at a concentration of about 1 mg/mL or more; (b) a pharmaceutically acceptable liquid vehicle; (c) at least one anti-oxidant; and (d) optionally one or more other pharmaceutically acceptable excipients.

A housing includes a first outlet through which air is discharged and a second outlet comparted by an inner cover and having a configuration by which air is discharged through outside the first outlet. An air guide supporter is rotatable inside the housing. An air guide is positioned to face an outer cover by which the second outlet is defined. The air guide is configured to move upwards or downwards in response to rotation of the air guide supporter to selectively open or close the second outlet.
