Abstract: Methods and systems are described herein for determining resource usage metrics of cloud computing systems. The system may generate access tokens for an account associated with a certain resource class of resources. The system may receive requests comprising a corresponding access token request and a corresponding resource class identifier. The system may determine the corresponding resource class for each request. The system may generate aggregated resource data based on a corresponding quantity of each resource within the resource class and may determine, based on the aggregated resource data, a resource usage metric indicating a total amount of resources used by the cloud computing system.
Abstract: A cannula-stylet assembly for piercing tissues of a subject's body includes a stylet that is significantly longer than the cannula. The length of the stylet enables introduction of the stylet through the length of both the cannula and a gripping device that has been coupled to a proximal end of the cannula. A medical piercing system may include a cannula-stylet assembly with a long stylet and a gripping device that may remain assembled with the cannula when the stylet is removed from the cannula or a gripping device that remains assembled with a stylet of a conventionally configured cannula-stylet assembly when the stylet is removed from the cannula.
Abstract: A method and system of managing the acquisition of food in a commercial environment. An example method includes receiving, from a first scale, a container weight of a container when food is removed from the container. The method also includes determining a removed weight of the food from the container based on the container weight relative to an initial container weight, receiving, from a second scale, a plate weight of a plate when the food is added to the plate. The method also includes determining an added weight of the food to the plate based on the plate weight relative to an initial plate weight, determining whether the removed weight and the added weight match, and responsive to determining that the removed weight and the added weight do not match, activating an alarm.
Abstract: A system may include an interface configured to couple to a network, and includes a processor and a memory accessible to the processor. The memory may be configured to store instructions that, when executed, cause the processor to process search results corresponding to multiple data owners to selectively filter personally identifiable information (PII) associated with one or more consumers from the set of search results according to data sharing permissions for each of the data owners to produce filtered results. The instructions may further cause the processor to provide the filtered results to a user device through the network.
Abstract: Additive manufactured airframe structure having a plurality of additive manufactured airframe segments operable to be linked together in an assembled direction. Each of the plurality of additive manufactured airframe segments are separate from one another in an unassembled configuration. Plurality of reinforcement elements operable to be received in a receiving portion of the plurality of airframe segments and extending through the plurality of airframe segments in a normal direction. Receiving portion is located on the interior of a respective one of the plurality of airframe segments.
Abstract: An improved tuning method for fixed interval musical instruments is provided. This Precise Temperament tuning method provide mathematically consistent intervals between notes to prevent dissonance within chords while retaining the esthetics of pure tones associated with Western music.
Abstract: A ventilator system includes a ventilation device, and is configured to operate in a passive mode configured to transmit ventilation data in response to requests from a ventilation management system, or an active mode configured to automatically transmit ventilation data as the data becomes available. The system receives ventilation system data associated with operation of the ventilation device, modifies one or more operating parameters of the ventilation device based on the received ventilation system data, receives ventilator data associated with the ventilator device, determines an alarm associated with the ventilator device or a patient based on the received ventilator data and, responsive to determining the alarm, sends the alarm to a beginning of a transmission queue for transmitting the ventilation data to the ventilation management system, wherein the alarm is communicated over the network prior to other ventilation data in the transmission queue.

Abstract: An improved roller shade system provides increased support, additional adjustments and/or increased safety. The slip plate allows the brake to slip forward and minimize damage to the clutch spring when a user pulls too hard on the hembar. The center drive mechanism extends through a bracket to allow the drive shaft to distribute power in both directions and drive two shade tube simultaneously. The tube adapter absorbs force from the spinning shade tube to minimize damage to the other components and the bead chain. The sprocket has a back wall supporting the sprocket, allowing the sprocket 130 to rest on the back flange of the sun gear to minimize pressure on the gears. An adjustment arm is adjusted to help level the shade band. The shade bands may be removed without disturbing the other shade bands in the system. A height of a hembar may be adjusted by rotating a rod within the hembar.

Abstract: A railcar for transporting one or more steel coils. In various embodiments, the railcar includes a front truck assembly, a rear truck assembly, a center sill assembly including a center sill operably supported by the front and rear truck assemblies, and first and second side walls supported by and substantially coupled to the center sill assembly such that the first and second side walls are spaced-apart from and substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis of the center sill.
Abstract: A solar power system including a first solar module group comprising one or more first solar modules; a second solar module group comprising one or more second solar modules; a first inverter coupled with the first solar module group and the second solar module group; a second inverter coupled with the first solar module group and the second solar module group; and a controller comprising a processor coupled with memory.
Abstract: A base station or an associated control entity determines when base station's air interface is threshold highly loaded or is predicted to be threshold highly loaded, and the base station responsively reduces the number of transmit antennas that the base station uses. Further, the base station or associated control entity could determine when the base station's air interface is no longer actually or predicted to be threshold highly loaded, and the base station could responsively increase the number of transmit antennas that the base station uses, such as by reverting to use a default number of antennas. Reducing the number of transmit antennas that the base station uses when its air interface is threshold highly loaded may help to increase air-interface capacity by reducing resource consumption from transmission of reference signals associated with the transmit antennas.
