Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus are described herein for analyzing content if an interruption occurs during an output of content so as to synchronize a playback point of the output of content to a live point of the output of content. An output of content may be interrupted for any number of reasons, and during the interruption period, the content may be selectively stored.

Abstract: An exemplary breath analysis system may include a sampling chamber having a molecule collector disposed therein. The molecule collector may be configured such that volatile organic compounds (VOCs) present in a breath sample introduced to the sampling chamber adhere to the molecule collector. A heating element may introduce heat within the sampling chamber, causing release of at least a portion of the VOCs adhered to the molecule collector. An analysis device (e.g., a mass spectrometer or Terahertz (THz) spectrometer) may identify one or more target VOCs from among at least the portion of the VOCs released from the molecule collector and generate an output representative of the identified one or more target VOCs. The output may include information that quantitates a concentration of the one or more target VOCs with respect to a source of the breath sample.

Abstract: A system and method for assigning trip requests to schedules for a fleet of one or more available vehicles in a manner that allows for the comparison of the various possible schedules against a number of global factors. Trip requests are combined into packets and one or more packets that can serve as a root packet or a first packet to be serviced by a partial shift are determined. Schedules are determined for each of the one or more possible root packets. The schedules are ranked according to one or more global factors to select a schedule for the partial shift. By generating combinations of packets that can be assigned to partial shifts, the problem of combinatorial explosion is reduced such that alternative schedules can be compared against one or more quality metrics for the schedule.

Abstract: A system comprising a processor configured to obtain a feature set for a component and generate random trees based on the feature set and a training data set, wherein each of the random trees can include at least one predictive value representing a probability of a feature of the random trees indicating a failure of the component within a period of time. The processor can also select a subset of the random trees based on the at least one predictive value, determine a likelihood of the failure of the component based on operational data for one or more devices and the subset of the random trees, and transmit an explanation to a remote device for the likelihood of failure of the component by indicating the feature selected from the subset of the random trees.

Abstract: A multiple-antenna device including a printed circuit board, a first antenna formed into a first corner of the printed circuit board, a second antenna formed into a second corner of the printed circuit board, and a dual-band decoupler formed in the printed circuit board between the first antenna and the second antenna. The multiple-antenna device includes WLAN circuitry located on the printed circuit board between the first antenna and the decoupler. The first and second antennas have polarizations orthogonal to each other.

Abstract: A method and combination for treating a cancer patient by combining two distinct immuno-therapy solutions for administration to a patient within a common time period, comprising a checkpoint inhibitor antibody component such as a PD-1 or PD-L1 antibody administered by infusion, and a TAA/ecdCD40L vaccine component administered subcutaneously, wherein an initial antibody component administered is followed by at least several successive antibody boosts and an initial vaccine component administered is followed by at least several successive vaccine boosts, both the initial and boosts of each administered within at least said common time period, wherein the combined administration of said two distinct immuno-therapy solutions provides for an enhanced therapeutic effect, over that of the therapeutic effect of either of the two distinct immuno-therapy component solutions when administered alone as monotherapy.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to a carton for packaging one or more articles, a blank for forming the carton and a method of packaging articles. The carton comprises a plurality of primary panels including a pair of bottom lap panels (12, 20) secured together to allow the primary panels to form walls of a tubular structure. An upper end closure structure partially closes an end of the tubular structure. The upper end closure structure comprises a lower edge that defines at least in part a window for exposing to view contents (B) of the carton. The upper end closure structure comprises a top end closure flap (30a, 30b, 30c, 30d) having a handle opening defined therein and a pair of side end closure flaps (26a, 26b, 34a, 34b). Abstract: Disclosed fluid flow modifying devices are useful with flexible fluid flow conduits. Such devices are adapted for mitigating adverse flow considerations arising from one or more bends in flexible fluid flow conduits. These adverse flow considerations are generally characterized as enhanced laminar flow and associated increased backpressure arising from reduced flow velocity caused by the one or more bends. Beneficially, disclosed fluid flow modifying devices cause flow of flowable material (e.g., a liquid) within a flow passage of a fluid flow conduit to have a rotational flow profile. Such a rotational flow profile advantageously reduces frictional losses associated with laminar flow and with directional change of fluid flow.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a system comprises a database configured to store at least one record, at least one network communication device, a storage device comprising instructions, and at least one processor configured to execute the instructions to perform a method. The method may comprise receiving a fraud communication associated with a first primary account number, calculating one or more limitations associated with the first primary account number based on an account associated with the first primary account number, and storing a database record including the first primary account number, a new primary account number, and the limitation(s). The method may further comprise receiving a transaction request including a second primary account number, and comparing the second primary account number to the at least one record. The method may also comprise, based on the comparing, enabling the transaction request to proceed, declining the transaction, or disabling the first primary account number.

Abstract: A method is implemented at an electronic device for displaying output from an application. The electronic device includes a display module and an application. The application sends to the display module a request to display output on the fixed orientation display. The display module determines whether the application is able to scale the output from the application to fit the fixed orientation display. In accordance with a determination that the application is able to scale the output, the electronic device causes the application to receive information concerning the fixed orientation display from the display module and scale the output for display on the fixed orientation display according to the information. In accordance with a determination that the application is not able to scale the output, the display module scales the output received from the application, thereby enabling the output of the application to be displayed on the fixed orientation display.

Abstract: A system and method for detecting a pose of an object is described. An augmented reality display device accesses first sensor data from an image sensor and a depth sensor of the augmented reality display device. The first sensor data includes a first plurality of images of an object and corresponding depth data relative to the augmented reality display device and the object. The augmented reality display device detects first features corresponding to the object by applying a convolutional neural network to the first sensor data, forms a plurality of training clusters based on the first features, and stores the plurality of training clusters in a training database.

Abstract: Systems and methods of use thereof for interconnecting a plurality of different electromechanical systems within an environment via Wireless Personal Area Networks (WPAN), such as Bluetooth Low Energy®. The system may include a primary system configured to include at least two states each corresponding to a signal, such as a 12V representing the ‘on’ state and a 0V signal to the ‘off’ state. The primary subsystem may include a signal determination device configured to determine the state of the primary subsystem and produce the corresponding signal, wherein the associated first communication device may transmit the produced signal over a WPAN to the second communication device associated with the accessory system. The accessory system may further include an accessory operation device configured to cause or inhibit a state change of the accessory subsystem based on the signal received by the second communication device.

Abstract: A load control device for controlling power delivered from an AC power source to an electrical load may comprise a thyristor, a gate current path, and a control circuit. The control circuit may be configured to control the gate current path to conduct a pulse of gate current through a gate terminal of the thyristor to render the thyristor conductive at a firing time during a half-cycle of the AC power source. The control circuit may operate in a first gate drive mode in which the control circuit renders the gate current path non-conductive after a pulse time period from the firing time. The control circuit may operate in a second gate drive mode in which the control circuit maintains the gate current path conductive after the pulse time period during the half-cycle.

Abstract: Methods and systems for facilitating an equitable bandwidth distribution across downstream devices in asymmetrical switch topologies, and in particular asymmetrical PCIe switch topologies. The equitable distribution of bandwidth is achieved in asymmetrical topologies using virtual switch partitioning. An upstream switch that is connected to the root complex via an upstream port and that receives bandwidth B from the upstream port, is virtualized into two or more virtual switches. Each virtual switch equally shares the bandwidth. Each virtual switch is allocated to downstream devices that are connected to the upstream switch as well as to one or more downstream switches that are connected to the upstream switch. Each downstream switch may be connected to one or more additional downstream devices.

Abstract: Storage cluster configuration for computing resources of a storage system is disclosed. A cluster configuration can be based on client indicated cluster criteria. Further, a cluster configuration can be based on non-client indicated criteria, such as, system requirements, regulatory compliance, industry best practices, etc. Determined candidate cluster configurations that can satisfy client criteria can be organized according to a selection preference, to enable selection of a preferred cluster configuration from the candidate cluster configurations. Candidate cluster configurations can result from recursive combinatorial searching, with pruning, of an entity space resulting from an ontological analysis of storage system computing resources. Pruning can be accelerated based on heuristic selection of a fork attribute. A K-D tree subjected to dimensional normalization can be employed to interpolate an attribute value.

Abstract: Techniques are described herein for detecting and/or enrolling (or commissioning) new “hot commands” that are usable to cause an automated assistant to perform responsive action(s) without having to be first explicitly invoked. In various implementations, an automated assistant may be transitioned from a limited listening state into a full speech recognition state in response to a trigger event. While in the full speech recognition state, the automated assistant may receive and perform speech recognition processing on a spoken command from a user to generate a textual command. The textual command may be determined to satisfy a frequency threshold in a corpus of textual commands. Consequently, data indicative of the textual command may be enrolled as a hot command. Subsequent utterance of another textual command that is semantically consistent with the textual command may trigger performance of a responsive action by the automated assistant, without requiring explicit invocation.

Abstract: The present disclosure describes aspects of an antenna-in-package (AiP) transceiver module and associated methods and systems. In aspects, an AiP transceiver module includes a substrate of dielectric material and first and second layers of conductive material disposed on respective surfaces of the substrate. The first layer of conductive material disposed on a first surface of the substrate includes an antenna element and antenna feed pad to which a contact of a transceiver integrated circuit die is coupled. The second surface of the substrate includes a dielectric interface area that is opposite to an area on the first surface of the substrate in which the antenna element is disposed and excludes the second layer of conductive material. The dielectric interface area of the substrate may effectively increase an amount of dielectric material below the antenna element, such that a volume of the dielectric material includes an air gap below the module.

Abstract: Signals of an immersive multimedia item are jointly considered for optimizing the quality of experience for the immersive multimedia item. During encoding, portions of available bitrate are allocated to the signals (e.g., a video signal and an audio signal) according to the overall contribution of those signals to the immersive experience for the immersive multimedia item. For example, in the spatial dimension, multimedia signals are processed to determine spatial regions of the immersive multimedia item to render using greater bitrate allocations, such as based on locations of audio content of interest, video content of interest, or both. In another example, in the temporal dimension, multimedia signals are processed in time intervals to adjust allocations of bitrate between the signals based on the relative importance of such signals during those time intervals. Other techniques for bitrate optimizations for immersive multimedia streaming are also described herein.

In one implementation, a method comprises: initializing, over an interfacility link (IFL) connecting an indoor unit of a satellite terminal and an outdoor Internet Protocol (IP) Radio of the satellite terminal, a communication link between the indoor unit and the outdoor IP Radio; authenticating, using the indoor unit and the outdoor IP Radio, the communication link between the indoor unit and the outdoor IP radio; and after authenticating the communication link, providing satellite network service to the indoor unit via the outdoor IP Radio.
