Abstract: The present invention provides a system and methods for notifying first responders of the general or specific location of a security crisis or threat in a building or public location, and the type of threat or crisis that has occurred, while notifying building occupants or others in the public location of the crisis and how to respond. The crisis management and notification system provides critical information to the first responders, including initial location of the crisis and whether the crisis location has changed in real time, audio and video input of the crisis arena, communications with designated occupants in the crisis arena, static building or location information, and other information. The crisis notification system can be scaled to allow the effective use in facilities of differing sizes and layouts. The system is also flexible, enabling the system to integrate with currently existing systems or to operate with new devices.

  • Publication number: 20230386200
Abstract: A computing system measures terrain coverage by: obtaining sample image data representing a multispectral image of a geographic region at a sample resolution; generating, based on the sample image data, an index array of pixels for a subject terrain in which each pixel has an index value that represents a predefined relationship between a first wavelength reflectance and a second wavelength reflectance; providing the index array to a trained calibration model to generate an estimated value based on the index array, the estimated value representing an estimated amount of terrain coverage within the geographic region for the subject terrain; and outputting the estimated value for the subject terrain. The trained calibration model may be trained based on training data representing one or more reference images of one or more training geographic regions containing the subject terrain at a higher resolution than the sample resolution.

  • Publication number: 20230386505
Abstract: Examples of the present disclosure describe systems and methods for multichannel audio speech classification. In examples, an audio signal comprising multiple audio channels is received at a processing device. Each of the audio channels in the audio signal is transcoded to a predefined audio format. For each of the transcoded audio channels, an average power value is calculated for one or more data windows in the audio signal. A correlation value is calculated between the average power value for each audio channel and the combined average power value of the other audio channels in the audio signal. Each of the correlation values (or an aggregated correlation value for the audio channels) is then compared against a threshold value to determine whether the audio signal is to be classified as a speech-based communication. Based on the classification, an action associated with the audio signal may be performed.

  • Publication number: 20230388345
Abstract: A system and method are disclosed that leverage multi-factor authentication features of a service provider and intelligent call routing to increase security and efficiency at a customer call center. Pre-authentication of customer support requests reduces the potential for misappropriation of sensitive customer data during call handling. A contactless card uniquely associated with a client may provide a second factor of authentication via a backchannel to reduce the potential for malicious third-party impersonation of the client prior to transfer of the call to the customer call center. Pre-authorized customer support calls may be intelligently and efficiently routed directly to call center agents, without incurring further delay. During call handling, call center agents may initiate further client authentication processes, including contactless card authentication requests, over one or more different communication channels for authorizing access to sensitive information or to allay suspicion.

  • Patent number: 11830229
Abstract: A device may be configured to detect a glare condition and may comprise a photo sensing circuit and a visible light sensing circuit. The photo sensing circuit may be configured to periodically generate an illuminance signal that indicates an illuminance value. The visible light sensing circuit may be configured to periodically record images of the space at an exposure time. The device may receive an illuminance signal from the photo sensing circuit and determine a present illuminance based on the illuminance signal. The device may adjust the frequency at which the visible light sensing circuit records images based on the present illuminance. The exposure time may be determined based on the present illuminance and a glare condition type. An image recorded at a respective exposure time may wash out pixels above a certain illuminance value. The device may detect a glare condition at the location of washed out pixels.

  • Patent number: 11826253
Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for regulating aortic regurgitation are provided. A catheter shaft is advanced through vasculature so that a flexible occluding membrane coupled to the catheter shaft is positioned within the aorta, typically the ascending aorta above the Sinus of Valsalva and coronary ostia. Blood flow in the aorta causes the flexible occluding membrane to alternate between an expanded occluding configuration while in diastole and a collapsed lesser occluding configuration is systole. The flexible occluding membrane thereby acts as a temporary aortic valve. The flexible occluding membrane is generally conical in shape, with the tip of the cone disposed closer to the aorta than the proximal rim. In diastole, blood flow expands the flexible occluding membrane so that the proximal rim apposes the inner wall of the aorta. The flexible occluding membrane will have one or more openings to allow perfusion of the coronary arteries in diastole.

  • Patent number: 11831673
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure involve systems, methods, computer program products, and the like, for an orchestrator device associated with a scrubbing environment of a telecommunications network that receives one or more announced routing protocol advertisements from a customer device under an attack. In response to receiving the announcement, the orchestrator may configure one or more scrubbing devices of the network to begin providing the scrubbing service to packets matching the received routing announcement. A scrubbing service state for the customer may also be obtained or determined by the orchestrator. With the received route announcement and the customer profile and state information, the orchestrator may provide instructions to configure the scrubbing devices of the network based on the received information to dynamically automate scrubbing techniques without the need for a network administrator to manually configure the scrubbing environment or devices.

  • Patent number: 11829804
Abstract: A processing system is described which assigns jobs to heterogeneous processing modules. The processing system assigns jobs to the processing modules in a manner that attempts to accommodate the service demands of the jobs, but without advance knowledge of the service demands. In one case, the processing system implements the processing modules as computing units that have different physical characteristics. Alternatively, or in addition, the processing system may implement the processing modules as threads that are executed by computing units. Each thread which runs on a computing unit offers a level of performance that depends on a number of other threads that are simultaneously being executed by the same computing unit.
