Abstract: A lawn mower includes a chassis supporting a wheel, a cutting deck supported by the chassis and defining a cutting chamber, a battery supported by the chassis, and a chore motor electrically coupled to the battery. The chore motor includes a housing with a coil assembly, a rotor, and a drive shaft extending out of the housing. The chore motor is attached to the cutting deck so that at least a portion of the housing and the drive shaft are positioned in the cutting chamber. The lawn mower further includes a blade coupled to the drive shaft so that the blade rotates within the cutting chamber when the chore motor rotates the drive shaft, and a spring washer coupled between the drive shaft and the blade. Relative rotation between the blade and the drive shaft occurs in response to a torque on the blade exceeding a threshold value.

Abstract: Technology is disclosed herein for a memory system that compensates for different programming speeds in two sets of memory cells when reading those two sets of memory cells. The memory system programs a group of the memory cells to one or more data states. In one aspect, the memory cells are not verified during programming. The group has a first set of memory cells that program at a first speed and a second set of memory cells that program at a second speed. The memory system reads the first set of the memory cells with a first set of read parameters and reads the second set of the memory cells with a second set of read parameters. The first set of read parameters are different from the second set of read parameters to compensate for the different programming speeds.

Abstract: Technology is disclosed herein for using an antenna reflector to regulate a spacecraft temperature during orbit raising. When in a launch configuration, the antenna reflector may be stowed in a fairing of a launch vehicle. After the spacecraft is deployed from the launch vehicle and prior to orbit raising, the antenna reflector is moved from the launch configuration to an orbit raising configuration in which the antenna reflector is used to regulate the spacecraft temperature. The antenna reflector may be proximate a thermal radiator panel of the spacecraft when in the launch configuration. The antenna reflector may be positioned such that sunlight will reflect off the antenna reflector onto the thermal radiator panel, thereby warming the spacecraft. After orbit raising, the antenna reflector is moved from the orbit raising configuration to an operational configuration in which a boresight of the antenna reflector may be directed toward nadir.

Abstract: The invention provides a method of random access channel (RACH) procedure at a user equipment (UE). The method includes transmitting a first message including a random preamble selected from a set of preambles to a base station (BS), receiving a second message including control information required for establishing communication between the UE and the BS in one or more physical downlink control channels (PDCCHs) in a first time duration, determining one PDCCH in the one or more PDCCHs which has the highest received signal power (RSRP), in a third message reporting the one PDCCH with the highest RSRP to the base station and transmitting uplink scheduling information in one or more physical uplink shared channels (PUSCHs) in a second time duration and receiving a fourth message, the fourth message includes a contention resolution process and a report indicating the one PUSCH with the highest RSRP.

Abstract: A vehicle system includes a vehicle network and a core electronic control unit communicatively coupled to the vehicle network. The core electronic control unit is programmed to generate an initial hash based on a first event on the vehicle network, the initial hash designated as a current hash; and recursively generate a next hash based on a time associated with a next event on the vehicle network and based on the current hash. The next event occurs after the first event. The next hash is designated as the current hash for a next recursion of generating the next hash.

Abstract: A method of controlling access to resource objects in a cloud-based storage system, and application server therefor, includes defining role-based access scopes and user-based virtual scopes for resources in the cloud-based storage system. A role-based access scope is used to define actions that may be performed with a requested resource based on a role of the user making the request. A virtual scope is used to define actions that may be performed with a requested resource based on the user making the request. The virtual scope is used to restrict access to a resource to one or more of the members assigned to a role.

Abstract: A computing system identifies mitigation actions in response to failures within a computer network. A service level objective is obtained by the computing system for client-resource data flows traversing the computer network between client-side and resource-side nodes. Indication of a failure event at a network location of the computer network is obtained. For each mitigation action of a set of candidate mitigation actions, an estimated impact to a distribution of the service level objective is determined for the mitigation action by applying simulated client-resource data flows to a network topology model of the computer network in combination with the mitigation action and the failure event. One or more target mitigation actions are identified by the computing system from the set of candidate mitigation actions based on a comparison of the estimated impacts of the set of candidate mitigation actions.

A wireless, bidirectional audio link with each auxiliary device of a plurality of auxiliary devices may be established and simultaneously managed. A first audio signal comprising a first vocal message may be received as input. A third audio signal may be simultaneously received with receipt of the first audio signal. The third audio signal may include a third vocal message that is different from the first vocal message and a second vocal message. The first audio signal may be buffered with a first input buffer of a control device while the third audio signal is buffered with a second input buffer of the control device. Simultaneous bidirectional translation of the first vocal message and the third vocal message may be performed. The second audio signal including a second vocal message may be provided as output.

Abstract: Various embodiments may be generally directed to the use of an adversarial learning framework for persona-based dialogue modeling. In some embodiments, automated multi-turn dialogue response generation may be performed using a persona-based hierarchical recurrent encoder-decoder-based generative adversarial network (phredGAN). Such a phredGAN may feature a persona-based hierarchical recurrent encoder-decoder (PHRED) generator and a conditional discriminator. In some embodiments, the conditional discriminator may include an adversarial discriminator that is provided with attribute representations as inputs. In some other embodiments, the conditional discriminator may include an attribute discriminator, and attribute representations may be handled as targets of the attribute discriminator. The embodiments are not limited in this context.

Abstract: A wireless device receives a radio resource control (RRC) release message indicating a small data transmission (SDT) time window for an SDT in an RRC inactive state. The wireless device transmits, during the SDT time window, an initial uplink transmission using a first power control adjustment (PCA) state being reset to zero. The wireless device transmits, using a second PCA state, a second uplink transmission. In response to the second uplink transmission being subsequent to the initial uplink transmission during the SDT time window, the second PCA state is based on the first PCA state and one or more transmit power control command values received during the SDT time window.

Abstract: Provided herein are systems and methods for extracting text from a document. Different optical character recognition (OCR) tools are used to extract different versions of the text in the document. Metrics evaluating the quality of the extracted text are compared to identify and select higher quality extracted text. A selected portion of text is compared to a threshold to ensure minimal quality. The selected portion of text is then saved. Error correction can be applied to the selected portion of text based on errors specific to the OCR tools or the document contents.

Abstract: A method whereby a user is granted access to a digital content distribution platform subsequent to the user downloading a computer application onto a client device. Granting access includes providing the user with a line-of-credit usable by the user to access digital content files from the digital content distribution platform. The method includes receiving, from the client device, a user interaction with a social networking platform and increasing the line-of-credit as a function of the user's interaction with the social networking platform. The method includes receiving, from the user, a selection of a digital content file located on the digital content distribution platform and providing the user with access to the selected digital content file if a limit of the line-of-credit exceeds an associated cost of the selected digital content file, and then decreasing the line-of-credit by at least a portion of the line-of-credit.

Abstract: The invention relates to stable formulations of antibodies against human programmed death receptor PD-1, or antigen binding fragments thereof and a PH20 variant or fragment thereof. The invention further provides methods for treating various cancers with formulations of the invention. In some embodiments of the methods of the invention, the formulations are administered to a subject by subcutaneous administration.
