Abstract: In some embodiments, gaze-tracking-based image downscaling for multi-party video communication may be provided. In some embodiments, a set of gaze locations may be received from a set of receiving devices during concurrent video communication sessions between the receiving devices and a sending device. Different collections of positions may be determined based on the gaze locations, and, for each such collection, a spatial indicator (e.g., a bounded region) may be determined. A first downscaled encoding of the source image (from the sending device) may be generated based on the first spatial indicator, and a second downscaled encoding of the source image may be generated based on the second spatial indicator, etc. The downscaled encodings may then be sent to the respective receiving devices during the concurrent video communication sessions.

The long guns may be secured in the gun-holding channels by strap assemblies. Long guns are conveniently placed into and extracted from the long gun carrier, held securely during transportation, and pointed in a safe direction during transport.

Abstract: Learning disentangled representations is an important topic in machine learning for a wide range of applications. Disentangled latent variables represent interpretable semantic information and reflect separate factors of variation in data. Although generative models may learn latent representations and generate data samples as well, existing models may ignore the structural information among latent representations. Described in the present disclosure are embodiments to learn disentangled latent structural representations from data using decomposable variational auto-encoders, which simultaneously learn component representations and encode component relationships. Embodiments of a novel structural prior for latent representations are disclosed to capture interactions among different data components. Embodiments are applied to data segmentation and latent relation discovery among different data components. Experiments on several datasets demonstrate the utility of the present model embodiments.

Abstract: A system and a method for grouping log lines in application log file is presented. The system uses logging framework code instrumentation in order to obtain a relation between the actual log line and the place in source code from which a method responsible for writing the line has been called. As the all information on the relation is stored in external metadata files, the structure of the log files remains unchanged. Using the above mentioned metadata and a raw log file, each log line in the file can be assigned to a group related to the place in source code from which the line has been logged, by the system. Next such a grouped log file can be displayed to the user in order to simplify the analysis of the application behavior.

Abstract: A recording head includes a channel waveguide that delivers light to a media-facing surface. A near-field transducer (NFT) is at an end of the channel waveguide and proximate to the media-facing surface. A laser including an active region has a longitudinal axis corresponding to a propagation direction of the channel waveguide. The active region includes a back facet and a front facet proximate the NFT. The front facet has a surface shape configured to suppress back reflection of the light.
