Abstract: Methods and systems are disclosed for allowing an electronic purchase upon completion of an exercise goal and/or a physical activity goal. Exercise and/or physical activity goal criteria can be retrieved for a user. Electronic charge approval criteria can be retrieved for the user, the electronic charge approval criteria based on the exercise and/or physical activity goal criteria. It can be determined whether the exercise and/or physical activity goal criteria has been fulfilled using an electronic measurement system, the electronic measurement system measuring motion data and/or heart rate data for the user. A requested electronic charge can be authorized upon a determination that the electronic charge approval criteria for the user has been fulfilled.

Abstract: Plant growth compositions include a solvent composition and an active component composition. The solvent composition includes 1-methoxy-2-propanol, glyceryl triacetate, methyl isobutyl ketone, 2-bytoxy ethanol, ethyl acetate, butyl lactate, lactic acid and/or n-butyl pyrrolidone. The active component combination is formulated to increase the growth of a plant, and includes an auxin, a gibberellin, a cytokinin, or a combination thereof. The solvent composition excludes butanol and/or citric acid. The boiling point of the solvent composition is at least about 100° C. and less than about 180° C. The solvent composition is compatible with Rhizobia. A method of improving plant growth involves applying the plant growth composition to plant seeds, which may include soybean seeds, corn seeds, wheat seeds, barley seeds, alfalfa seeds, or combinations thereof, and growing the nascent plants to maturity.

Abstract: Some implementations disclosed herein provide techniques and arrangements to enable translating language characters in media content. For example, some implementations receive a user selection of a first portion of media content. Some implementations disclosed herein may, based on the first portion, identify a second portion of the media content. The second portion of the media content may include one or more first characters of a first language. Some implementations disclosed herein may create an image that includes the second portion of the media content and may send the image to a server. Some implementations disclosed herein may receive one or more second characters of a second language corresponding to a translation of the one or more first characters of the first language from the server.

Abstract: An automated beverage brewing apparatus is provided including a controller for identifying a volume of bloom water and a bloom time for preparing a brewed beverage. A user interface provides at least one input to the controller. The controller is configured to vary the volume of the bloom water based on a type of brewed beverage and a size of brewed beverage input via the user interface.

Abstract: An integrated access box for providing surface access to a curb box or other structure, and tracer wires in a single unit. The integrated access box generally includes a body having a first end and a second end and a first chamber (e.g., a curb box chamber or cleanout chamber) extending into the first end toward the second end of the body. The body may be substantially cylindrical in shape, and may include a first opening near the first end of the body and a first chamber access opening in the first chamber near the top of the body, and a tracer wire chamber extending into the body. The tracer wire chamber includes a second opening near the first end of the body. The integrated access box may further include a tracer wire access opening in the tracer wire chamber near the top of the body.

Abstract: Methods and systems for cooling an electric energy storage device are described. In one example, a temperature set point of a cooling system is reduced before a vehicle reaches a location along a travel route where load on the electric energy storage device is expected to be greater than a threshold load. By lowering the temperature set point, it may be possible to maintain a temperature of the electric energy storage device below a threshold temperature.

Abstract: A bracket configured to mount a high voltage component to a structure of a vehicle. The bracket includes a body, a plurality of first apertures formed in the body that are each respectively configured for receipt of a fastener that secures the body to the high voltage component, and a plurality of second apertures formed in the body that are respectively configured for receipt of a fastener that secures the body to the structure of the vehicle. Upon application of a sufficient force to the vehicle, a material of the body that forms at least one of the first apertures and the second apertures is configured to fail to permit either the body and the high voltage component to disengage from structure of the vehicle or the high voltage component to disengage from the body.

Abstract: A stabilization device for a low-profile feeding device may include a pad and a stabilizer body. The low-profile feeding device may have a tube, an external bolster, and an internal bolster. The pad may include an opening extending from a top surface to a bottom surface thereof and configured for receiving the tube therethrough. The stabilizer body may be fixedly attached to the top surface of the pad and configured for extending over the external bolster. The stabilizer body may include a cavity configured for receiving a base portion of the external bolster therein, an opening extending from the cavity to a top surface of the stabilizer body and configured for allowing access to an access port of the external bolster, and a slit extending from the top surface toward a bottom surface of the stabilizer body and from the opening to a first end of the stabilizer body.

Abstract: A system and method for automatically identifying a golf swing without any active participation on the part of the golfer is disclosed. The application program stored on and operating from an electronic device system uses data from a gyroscope and accelerometer to identify the golf swing. The system also automatically keeps statistics about the golfer's round of golf based on the GPS location of the identified swings.

Abstract: A system for determining areas of discrepancy in flight for an electric aircraft is presented. The system includes a plurality of sensors, wherein each sensor is communicatively connected to a flight component and configured to detect a measured flight and generate a flight phase datum. The system further includes a computing device communicatively connected to the plurality of sensors, wherein the computing device is configured to determine, by a flight phase machine-learning model, a flight phase discrepancy datum. The computing device is configured to train the flight phase machine-learning using a flight phase training set, wherein the flight phase training set correlates a flight phase to a flight standard and output the flight phase discrepancy datum. The computing device is further configured to identify an anomalous performance phase as a function of the flight phase discrepancy datum and generate a discrepancy response.

Abstract: A pillow includes a first pillow cushion consisting essentially of a gelatinous elastomer that is sized and configured to support a head and neck of a person using the pillow cushion and a second pillow cushion coupled thereto. The pillow cushion has deformable wall members located and configured to define voids therebetween such that the deformable wall members may be displaced into adjacent voids upon deformation of the deformable wall members. The deformable wall members are configured to buckle when a pressure applied to a cushioning surface of the first pillow cushion, in a direction perpendicular to a first major surface, exceeds a threshold pressure level. A pillow cover covers the first pillow cushion and the second pillow cushion. A method of fabricating a pillow includes enclosing such first and second pillow cushions in a pillow cover.

Abstract: A device is presented herein that is configured to be located underneath an eyelid and worn by a user for treating dry eye. The device includes a first surface configured to face a portion of a sclera of the eye, and a second surface configured to face an eyelid and to be completely covered by the eyelid. In some embodiments, the device further includes a plurality of stimulation electrodes proximal to the first surface, wherein the plurality of stimulation electrodes is configured to stimulate the sclera. The device further includes an energy storage element coupled to the plurality of stimulation electrodes. The energy storage element is configured to supply power to the plurality of stimulation electrodes. The device further includes a processor configured to control a supply of energy from the energy storage element to the plurality of stimulation electrodes to stimulate the sclera.

Abstract: A door for an entryway includes an exterior-facing surface, an inner structure, and a latch mechanism. The latch mechanism is connected to the inner structure and configured to be fastened or released for controlling access to the entryway. The door also includes a key-cylinder accessible from the exterior-facing surface and configured to selectively lock and unlock the latch mechanism. The door additionally includes a pawl configured to be rotated by the key-cylinder about a pivot axis, connected to the latch mechanism, and defining a pass-through aperture distal from the pivot axis. The door also includes a shield defining a shield attachment aperture and connected to the inner structure. The door further includes a security fastener to fix the shield relative to the key-cylinder at the shield attachment aperture and extending through the pass-through aperture without impeding the pawl's rotation or contacting the pawl as the pawl operates the latch mechanism.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide systems, methods, and devices for countering fraudulent transactions by identifying devices associated with fraudulent activity. Examples relate to a system which compares identification parameters of devices associated with fraudulent activity, directly or indirectly, to identification parameters of a particular device. Based on the comparison, a confidence score may be generated may relate to the risk of fraud associated with that device. In some examples, the system may challenge a user with additionally security questions if the confidence score associated with a device indicates an increased risk of fraud.

Abstract: A geospatial modeling system may include a memory and a processor cooperating therewith to: (a) generate a three-dimensional (3D) geospatial model including geospatial voxels based upon a plurality of geospatial images; (b) select an isolated geospatial image from among the plurality of geospatial images; (c) determine a reference geospatial image from the 3D geospatial model using Artificial Intelligence (AI) and based upon the isolated geospatial image; (d) align the isolated geospatial image and the reference geospatial image to generate a predictively registered image; (e) update the 3D geospatial model based upon the predictively registered image; and (f) iteratively repeat (b)-(e) for successive isolated geospatial images.

Abstract: Several embodiments of NO releasing compounds are disclosed. In some embodiments, the structures are covalently modified to store and release nitric oxide. Some embodiments pertain to methods of making and use of these structures. The compounds may be tailored to release nitric oxide in a controlled manner and can be useful, for example, for treating or preventing microbial infections, or reducing the microbial load of a microbial infection.

A method of over-seeding dormant warm season grasses, including over-seeding the warm season grass with Turf Type Festulolium (American Ryegrass) such that the American Ryegrass will provide a green cover during the winter months but will die out when the temperatures increase to the point which allow the warm-season grass to regrow. A method to maintain green coverage of turf year-round including planting a warm season grass, and over-seeding the warm season grass with American Ryegrass.
