Abstract: A sensor device includes a housing having a hole allowing substances to pass from an exterior of the housing to an interior of the housing, and a printed circuit board having a humidity sensor and at least one electronic component. The sensor device also includes a tube comprising a waterproof material, wherein a first end of the tube surrounds the humidity sensor, wherein a first seal is formed by between the first end of the tube and the printed circuit board, wherein a second end of the tube is located proximate the hole. The sensor device also includes a waterproof, breathable material layer disposed between the second end of the tube and the hole, wherein a second seal is formed between the material layer and the housing, wherein a third seal is formed between the material layer and the second end of the tube. The hole and the material layer allow water vapor to pass from the exterior to the humidity sensor.

Abstract: A plurality of sensor devices are placed at a plurality of locations at which concrete is to be poured, wherein each sensor device is adapted to measure humidity. For example, the plurality of sensors may be placed at selected locations within a form at a construction site associated with a construction project. Concrete is poured at the plurality of locations. Data representing humidity measurements is received from the plurality of sensor devices. For each of the plurality of sensor devices, a respective spike in humidity and a respective time associated with the spike in humidity are determined, thereby determining a plurality of spikes in humidity and a plurality of corresponding times. A build rate is determined for the construction project based on the plurality of spikes in humidity and a plurality of corresponding times.
Abstract: A method and system to determine a rating for evaluation of a health care procedure is disclosed. The system includes a user interface accepting a request for a rating of the health care procedure. A database includes input data metrics each related to one of health care provider quality metrics, health care provider cost metrics, health care facility quality metrics, and health care facility quality metrics. A machine learning system is trained to provide a rating target value for the health care procedure based on the neural processing of the data factors. The system evaluates a number of machine learning algorithms to determine the best learning algorithm for a particular rating target value based on test data supplied to the machine learning algorithms. The best learning algorithm for the particular rating target value is used by the system to determine the rating for evaluation.

Abstract: In some implementations, a device may train the model to generate embeddings for log files associated with an application, and to enable the model to generate embeddings for sensitive information included in a set of training log files. The device may receive a log file associated with the application. The device may generate a compressed log file including a set of embedding vectors associated with records included in the log file, where a record that includes sensitive information is associated with one or more embedding vectors for the sensitive information and one or more embedding vectors for other information included in the record. The device may store the compressed log file including the set of embedding vectors where a size of the compressed file is less than a size of the log file, and the embedding vectors obfuscate the records included in the log file.

Abstract: An algae-based thermoplastic composition is provided that includes a protein-rich algae biomass selected from either microalgae, macroalgae or combinations thereof. The protein content is greater than or equal to 15% by weight of the algae biomass and the algae biomass is dried to a moisture content of less than or equal to 15% by weight and having a particle d99 of up to 200 microns. The dried algae biomass is at least 5% by weight of the thermoplastic composition. Abstract: The described technology is generally directed towards fine-grained data retention management in stream-based data storage systems, which facilitates specifying retention policy at the event level. A fixed retention period corresponding to a retention end time is associated with each event, and the system keeps the longest of the retention end times for each segment of a data stream. Stream cuts are generated which divide the data stream into fragments, and are the basis for truncating the data stream. Each stream cut contains a stream cut retention end time obtained from the longest retention end time of the retention end times of the active segments. When an attempt to truncate a data stream from a stream cut is made, the attempt is blocked if the stream cut's retention end time is in the future, otherwise truncation from the stream cut point is allowed to proceed.

Abstract: Bitrate-adaptive segmentation is performed for transcoding a video stream uploaded to an online video platform for hosting and later playback to platform users. The video stream is segmented into chunks based on prediction-based bit costs determined for frames of the video stream rather than based on scene changes detected within the video stream. The bitrate-adaptive segmentation includes determining inter-prediction bit costs and intra-prediction bit costs for frames of the video stream based on information indicated within a pass log based on a first pass encoding of the video stream, determining chunk boundaries for segmenting the video stream into a chunk based on the inter-prediction bit costs and the intra-prediction bit costs for the frames, and transcoding the chunk to produce a transcoded video stream.
