Abstract: A method is provided for managing and tracking scouting tasks to obtain map information using a fleet of autonomous vehicles. For instance, the method includes defining a scouting quest to obtain the map information. The scouting quest includes a plurality of objectives. Each objective is associated with a geographic location from which sensor data is to be captured. The method also includes receiving a first update message from an autonomous vehicle of the fleet. The update message identifies a location of the autonomous vehicle. The method also includes assigning at least one of the objectives to the autonomous vehicle based on the location of the autonomous vehicle. The method also includes sending instructions to the autonomous vehicle in order to cause the autonomous vehicle to complete the at least one objective and after sending, tracking a status of the scouting quest.

Abstract: Implementations are directed to providing a voice bot development platform that enables a third-party developer to train a voice bot based on training instance(s). The training instance(s) can each include training input and training output. The training input can include a portion of a corresponding conversation and a prior context of the corresponding conversation. The training output can include a corresponding ground truth response to the portion of the corresponding conversation. Subsequent to training, the voice bot can be deployed for conducting conversations on behalf of a third-party. In some implementations, the voice bot is further trained based on a corresponding feature emphasis input that attentions the voice bot to a particular feature of the portion of the corresponding conversation. In some additional or alternative implementations, the voice bot is further trained to interact with third-party system(s) via remote procedure calls (RPCs).
Abstract: An exemplary power system includes a DC power bus and a photovoltaic system connected to the DC power bus. An energy storage system is connected to the DC power bus and stores energy injected to the DC power bus by the photovoltaic system. A power inverter is connected to the DC power bus and converts power between the DC power bus and an AC connected load. The power system also includes a control system that receives power system data from one or more sub-systems and devices connected to the DC power bus, and controls, in real-time, one or more of the power inverter and the energy storage system to act as a load on the DC power bus based on the received power system data.
Abstract: A wireless access node wirelessly broadcasts System Information Blocks (SIBs) that indicate individual slice characteristics for wireless network slices. A wireless UE wirelessly receives the SIBs, selects one of the slices based on user requirements for a user application and the individual slice characteristics for the slices, and transfers UE capability information that indicates the selected slice to the wireless access node. The wireless access node transfers the UE capability information to an Access and Mobility Management Function (AMF). The AMF authorizes the wireless UE for the selected slice and selects Quality-of-Service (QoS) parameters for the wireless UE that correspond to the individual slice characteristics for the selected slice. The AMF transfers signaling to the wireless access node to serve the wireless UE per the selected QoS parameters. The wireless access node wirelessly exchanges user data with the wireless UE per the selected QoS parameters.

In at least one embodiment, the system comprises a central server; an administrative work station communicably coupled to the central server, wherein the administrative work station is accessible only by an authorized administrator; a database communicably coupled to the central server, the database including a floor plan of the area, wherein the database is accessible and modifiable by the authorized administrator at the administrative work station; and a remote device at a particular location in the area, the remote device communicably coupled to the central server, the remote device capable of communicating securely to the database the particular location of the remote device and the crisis status of the particular location.
Abstract: A secure method of real time money transferring between account holders utilizes Near Field Communication (NFC) technologies, dynamic transaction cards, and a mobile application to facilitate a seamless mobile transfer of funds. The dynamic transaction card of the customer requesting to make the transfer of funds may be placed in contact with the second recipient dynamic transaction card of the customer receiving the funds transfer to establish an NFC connection. The dynamic transaction card requesting the transfer may receive, via the NFC antenna on the card, the recipient customer account information stored on a passive NFC tag. The dynamic transaction card requesting the transfer may transmit the recipient account information to a mobile application, which may transmit the recipient account information to an account provider system for facilitating the funds transfer.

Abstract: A baby bottle, an insert for a baby bottle, a baby bottle including an insert, and a method of feeding an infant that serves to pace the infant's feeding rhythm. Generally, these devices and methods will be of use for a preterm infant who lacks coordination of the suck-swallow-breathe synchrony, but can also be used with full term infants who can benefit from rigid control of the flow of milk from a bottle, this includes, but is not limited to, infants with gastroesophageal reflux who can require pacing of feeds to allow for gastric emptying. The device generally cues the infant to swallow and breathe after each 1-4 sucks by stopping the flow of the fluid from the bottle after the infant has sucked sufficiently or a predetermined period of time has passed. Once the baby breathes or a period of time passes, the bottle resets for the next repetition. The device also serves to consistently slow the flow of milk during oral feeding.

Abstract: Techniques for exporting remote cryptographic keys are provided. In one technique, a proxy server receives, from a secure enclave of a client device, a request for a cryptographic key. The request includes a key name for the cryptographic key. In response to receiving the request, the proxy server sends the request to a cryptographic device that stores the cryptographic key. The cryptographic device encrypts the cryptographic key based on an encryption key to generate a wrapped key. The proxy server receives the wrapped key from the cryptographic device and sends the wrapped key to the secure enclave of the client device.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a computing system instructs, at a first time, a camera having a plurality of pixel sensors to use the plurality of pixel sensors to capture a first image of an environment comprising an object. The computing system predicts, using at least the first image, a projection of the object appearing in a virtual image plane associated with a predicted camera pose at a second time. The computing system determines, based on the predicted projection of the object, a first region of pixels and a second region of pixels. The computing system generates pixel-activation instructions for the first region of pixels and the second region of pixels. The computing system instructs the camera to capture a second image of the environment at the second time according to the pixel-activation instructions.
