Patent number: 11793900Abstract: This disclosure is generally directed to systems and methods to sanitize a vehicle. In an example method, a motor vehicle wirelessly transmits a request to sanitize the motor vehicle. The request may be transmitted to an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) either directly or indirectly (via a server computer). The motor vehicle then detects the UAV landing upon the roof of the motor vehicle and opens a window of the motor vehicle. The UAV inserts an articulated arm through the open window and into the cabin area of the motor vehicle for executing a sanitizing procedure. The articulated arm can be configured to hold various objects such as a scrubbing pad and/or a container containing a cleaning agent, a sanitizing agent, or a deodorizing agent. In an example scenario, the sanitizing procedure may be directed at eliminating viruses and bacteria that may be present inside the cabin area of the motor vehicle.Type: GrantFiled: February 10, 2021Date of Patent: October 24, 2023Assignee: Ford Global Technologies, LLCInventors: Leonardo Alonso Huitron, Federico Emilio Mejia, Gustavo Vazquez flores, Hedy Humberto Morales Bolanos

Patent number: 11794116Abstract: Session participation in online content streams or activities like multiplayer games is enhanced through management of session tracking and automated queuing of players via a central system between host/streamer client device and guest player client devices. Spectators viewing a content stream or waiting to join a multiplayer activity over a network via a game/streaming service request to be placed in a queue to participate in a session of the content stream or activity as guest players with the host/streaming user. Sessions are tracked to determine start and end events. Sets of prior guest players are removed from sessions when the sessions end, and sets of queued spectators are automatically added to the start of a new session of the content stream or activity as guest players. Queuing may be automatically prioritized for users based on user characteristics, and guest players removed at the end of sessions may be automatically re-queued.Type: GrantFiled: April 26, 2021Date of Patent: October 24, 2023Assignee: Microsoft Technology Licensing, LLCInventors: Ruben Omar Cardona Cruz, Keith R. Patent number: 11796581Abstract: A data sensing circuit including a reference signal circuit, a reference signal combining circuit, drive-sense circuits, an array of sensors, sets of digital filters, and a processing module. The processing module provides a reference control signal to the reference signal circuit operable to generate a plurality of reference signals based on the reference control signal. The reference signal combining circuit transmits sets of reference signals to the drive-sense circuits operably coupled to an array of sensor. When the sensor is exposed to a condition, and is receiving the signal from the drive-sense circuits, an electrical characteristic of the sensor affects the signal, which is interpreted by the drive-sense circuit and converted to a digital signal to be filtered by the set of digital filters generating a frequency response for the array of sensors.Type: GrantFiled: June 2, 2021Date of Patent: October 24, 2023Assignee: SIGMASENSE, LLC.Inventors: Daniel Keith Van Ostrand, Gerald Dale Morrison, Patrick Troy Gray, Richard Stuart Seger, Jr.

Patent number: 11798501Abstract: This application is directed to a method for correct temperature measurement. An electronic device includes a temperature sensor that measures an ambient temperature of an environment and a display that is driven by a display driver. The electronic device determines a brightness setting of the display, estimates a display driver current based on the brightness setting, estimates a driver efficiency of the display driver based on the display driver current, and combines a predetermined display driver voltage, the display driver current, and the driver efficiency to determine a power consumption of the display driver. An ambient temperature correction is determined in accordance with the determined power consumption of the display driver, and the measured ambient temperature is thereby corrected using the ambient temperature correction. In some implementations, a power consumption of a distinct heat-generating electronic component is also monitored for adjusting the ambient temperature correction.Type: GrantFiled: August 25, 2020Date of Patent: October 24, 2023Assignee: Google LLCInventors: Jeffrey Kevin Tu, Kristen Rebecca Pownell, Philip Hobson Boothby, Arun Prakash Raghupathy, Emil Rahim, Chintan Trehan

Patent number: 11799262Abstract: Orbital debris removal (ODR) systems under the present approach may use a ground- or surface-based FEL and mirror system with sufficient power and both spatial and temporal resolution to both locate Category II OD (1 cm to 10 cm diameter) in low Earth orbit (LEO, 160 to 2000 km altitude) and remove these objects from orbit. Locating the Category II OD is performed by having the light beam from an FEL and its beam director scan a volume of space of interest and then observing the light reflected from the OD. Removing the OD may include heating the OD to a sufficiently high temperature to evaporate the OD, changing the orbit of the OD such as to lower the perigee, or both. Megawatt-class MOPA FELs for, inter alia, removing OD, are described.Type: GrantFiled: December 7, 2018Date of Patent: October 24, 2023Assignee: BNNT, LLCInventors: R. Roy Whitney, David R.
