Abstract: An oral medical apparatus includes a flexible tube with a first portion adjacent a proximal end of the tube and a second portion adjacent to the first portion. A support is located within the upper portion to prevent compression or collapse of the upper portion of the tube. The oral medical apparatus can accommodate a rigid connector that may be directly coupled to an anesthesia breathing circuit or a medical breathing device.
Abstract: An apparatus includes a fixed assembly and a reciprocating assembly. The fixed assembly includes a hopper, a first gas manifold, and a dispensing chamber, and the reciprocating assembly includes a channel assembly defining a channel conduit, a shield plate vertically aligned therewith, and a second gas manifold. The reciprocating assembly may move, in relation to the fixed assembly, to a first position to enable the channel conduit to be filled with bulk compressible material from the hopper, a second position to enable compressible material to be pushed from the channel conduit to the dispensing conduit and to be compressed in the dispensing chamber according to a first gas directed through the channel conduit by the first gas manifold, and a third position to enable the compressed material to be pushed out of the dispensing conduit according to a second gas directed through the dispensing conduit by the second gas manifold.

Abstract: Aspects of the technology described herein detect experts in social networks. Experts may be identified within social networks using social network data. A collection of topics may be compiled based on search engine behavioral data. A combination of the social network data and search engine behavioral data is utilized to score each topic within potential topics for a user. When a topic score is over a predetermined threshold, a user may be classified as an expert for that topic. Expert search interfaces may be generated for use in browsing or searching for experts within a topic.

Abstract: Systems and methods for operating drones in proximity to objects are disclosed herein. An example method includes determining a change in drone, flight status that involves a rotor of the drone being active, determining presence of a mobile device within a designated clearance area established around the drone, preventing the drone from landing, providing a warning message to a user of the mobile device to clear away from the designated clearance area, detecting that the mobile device and the user are not within the designated clearance area, and causing the drone to land.

Abstract: A vehicle configured to execute one or more methods for detecting function of a charging receptacle during a charging cycle. The methods include supplying a charging current through the pins; monitoring a pin temperature of the pins during the charging current; and applying a first step function to the charging current. The methods may also include monitoring a first step change in the pin temperature during the first step function; comparing the first step change in the pin temperature to a first expected temperature change to create a first deviation; and comparing the first deviation to a predetermined threshold. If the first deviation exceeds the predetermined threshold, signaling a maintenance alert, and if the first deviation is less than the predetermined threshold, logging the first deviation.
Abstract: An electrical outlet cover with a lid having an adjustable enclosure. The electrical outlet cover includes a base coupled to an electrical outlet and a hinged lid. The lid includes a frame with a central aperture and a telescoping enclosure with a flange at a front edge of a sleeve, the flange extending outward from the sleeve. The sleeve may include a ledge extending outward from the sleeve adjacent a back edge of the sleeve on at least two sides of the sleeve. The sleeve is slidably coupled within the central aperture and movable between an expanded position and a collapsed position. A front surface of the sleeve enclosure may include a window that extends forward of the sleeve walls and may further bulge forward of the front surface.
Abstract: A virtual object system can orchestrate virtual objects defined as a collection of components and with inheritance in an object hierarchy. Virtual object components can include a container, data, a template, and a controller. A container can define the volume the virtual object is authorized to write into. A virtual object's data can specify features such as visual elements, parameters, links to external data, meta-data, etc. The template can define view states of the virtual object and contextual breakpoints for transitioning between them. Each view state can control when and how the virtual object presents data elements. The controller can define logic for the virtual object to respond to input, context, etc. The definition of each object can specify which other object in an object hierarchy that object extends, where extending an object includes inheriting that object's components, which can be modified or overwritten as part of the extension.

Abstract: A collaboration computing environment can be established for facilitating collaboration among multiple users where is distrust between them. The collaboration computing environment comprises one or more chambers that provide data security by limiting data access pathways, deactivating data access functionality and providing an indirect data upload path. Individual users, or defined groups of users, such as users associated with a specific entity, can utilize computing functionality provided within the confines of a single chamber to execute computer-executable instructions and, thereby, consume existing data and generate modified and/or new data. To facilitate collaboration, a shared storage can be enabled in the collaboration computing environment to which multiple chambers can be provided at least some form of access.

Abstract: The subject matter described in this specification is generally directed control architectures for an autonomous vehicle. In one example, a reference trajectory, a set of lateral constraints, and a set of speed constraints are received using a control circuit. The control circuit determines a set of steering commands based at least in part on the reference trajectory and the set of lateral constraints and a set of speed commands based at least in part on the set of speed constraints. The vehicle is navigated, using the control circuit, according to the set of steering commands and the set of speed commands.

Abstract: A sensorless clutch state feedback method is provided including a driveline disconnect. To engage the sensorless disconnect, respective speeds of a motor assembly and the sensorless disconnect are synchronized to within a speed delta threshold of each other, a control system facilitates the engagement of the motor assembly and the sensorless disconnect, and the control system determines the success of the engagement by the motor speed response of the motor assembly (e.g., whether the presence of a load is detected).
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for providing content are disclosed. In one aspect, a set of interaction data specifying one or more types of user interactions with a resource is received for a user. A determination is made, based on the interaction data, that the user is in a first engagement category from at least two different engagement categories. A request for a content item to be provided to the user is received. A content item having a bid specifying an amount that a content item provider is willing to pay for distribution of the content item to a user in the first engagement category is identified. A determination is made, based on the outcome of an auction performed using the bid, that the bid is a winning bid. The content item is provided for presentation in response to the request.
