Abstract: The present disclosure provides floating gastroretentive compositions comprising a multilayer core comprising 1) a pull layer containing liothyronine or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, an acid, and a gas-generating agent; and 2) a push layer. Each of the pull layer and the push layer comprises a swellable water-soluble hydrophilic polymer. The composition further comprises a permeable elastic membrane covering at least a portion of the multilayer core and containing at least one orifice facing the pull layer. The permeable elastic membrane comprises a copolymer of ethyl acrylate, methyl methacrylate, and trimethylammonioethyl methacrylate chloride. The composition provides sustained release of liothyronine or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.

Abstract: Described is a fibrous substrate treatment composition having a) 20-99.5% by weight of a silicone polyether polymer and b) 0.5-4% by weight of a cationic surfactant or a mixture of cationic and nonionic surfactant; wherein the silicone polyether polymer has 6-100% by weight of formula (I) or (II) and 0-94% by weight of repeat units from ethylenically unsaturated comonomers; wherein a and b are integers of 1 to 40 where a+b is an integer of at least 2; c and d are integers of 0 to 20; e is an integer of 1 to 40; X is a linear or branched C1-C4 alkylene group; R1 is a C1-C4 alkyl group; and R2 is —C(R1)?CH2 or polymer backbone unit —[C(R1)—CH2]— bonded at C(R1). Treatments exhibit improved balance of water repellency and oily stain release performance.

Abstract: A hitch system for automatically coupling a hitch accessory that has an attachment bar assembly with a hitch receiver. The attachment bar assembly includes a housing bar that is tubular, with a pin-hole through the housing bar. A pin-lever is pivotably mounted in the housing bar and includes a pin configured to retract into the housing bar and to extend out of the pin-hole. A ramp-component is disposed in the housing bar and is engageable with the pin-lever. An actuator selectively moves the ramp-component to retract the pin into the housing bar and to extend the pin out of the housing bar, by selectively enabling pivoting of the pin-lever.

Abstract: A propulsion system for a device includes an electric motor configured to generate torque to propel the device. A position sensor is adapted to determine a rotor position of the electric motor. The system includes a controller having instructions recorded for determining the rotor position when a sensor fault condition is detected. The controller is adapted to selectively command injection of a voltage signal in a direct magnetic axis in a synchronous reference frame when a motor speed of the electric motor is below a predefined motor speed threshold and the sensor fault condition is detected. The rotor position is estimated based in part on a motor current response to the voltage signal. The voltage signal is defined by an alternating periodic shape having respective constant segments in each of a plurality of control periods, the respective constant segments being discontinuous between the control periods.

For example, a system may include at least one memory storing instructions and one or more processors configured to execute the instructions to perform operations. The operations may include receiving data comprising a plurality of sequences of data values and training a recurrent neural network model to output conditional probabilities of subsequent data values based on preceding data values in the data value sequences. The operations may include generating conditional probabilities using the trained recurrent neural network model and the received data. The operations may include determining a data format of a subset of the data value sequences, based on the generated conditional probabilities, and reformatting at least one of the data value sequences according to the determined data format.

The method comprises receiving a manifest for the alternative MPD from the content server by a dynamic adaptive streaming over HTTP (DASH) media streaming device; parsing the manifest to extract a set of parameters for the alternative MPD, the set of parameters comprising at least one of a value for a DASH event stream, a presentation time, or a duration; switching from a main media presentation to an alternative media presentation based on the presentation time; and in response to ending the alternative media presentation, playing back the main media presentation at a return point according to the value for the DASH event stream.

Abstract: This disclosure generally relates to media streaming technologies and more specifically to methods and apparatuses for extensible parameterization signaling for requests of media in dynamic adaptive streaming. The various example implementations disclosed herein allow for a mechanism for a media server to signal to streaming clients which requests to the media server may be parameterized how are they parameterized. The specificity for the parameterization may be defined by a service provider and is thus made extensible.

Abstract: The disclosure generally pertains to systems and methods for providing a vehicle occupant preparation system for certain acceleration modes. In an example method, sensor data associated with one or more sensors of the vehicle may be generated when a vehicle is in an acceleration mode. Subsequently, an orientation of an occupant in the vehicle relative to a seat or other structure within an interior of the vehicle may be determined using the sensor data. The orientation of the occupant may comprise at least a position of a head of the occupant or a direction the head of the occupant is facing. It may be determined that the orientation of the occupant is not within a predetermined orientation threshold. A notification associated with the orientation of the occupant may then be presented. In some instances, a performance parameter of the vehicle may be adjusted.

Abstract: A method for the recovery of lignin includes dissolving black liquor in solvent to form a mixture having a pH greater than or equal to about 12 to less than or equal to about 14. The pH of the mixture is then adjusted to greater than or equal to about 3 to less than or equal to about 7. The mixture is liquefacted, which includes increasing a temperature of the mixture to a target temperature, maintaining the target temperature for a period of time, and cooling the mixture to room temperature. Following liquefaction, the mixture is filtered to separate soluble and insoluble fractions of the mixture. The soluble fraction includes a lignin product having a polydispersity greater than or equal to about 1.78 to less than or equal to about 2.56.

The method includes assigning a focus area score for each digital artifact based on the context and calculating, for each focus area and based on a level of association of each digital artifact with that focus area, an engagement score for the user and comparing the engagement score for the user to the engagement plan for the user to identify inconsistencies. The method includes defining, based on the inconsistencies, a specific action for the user to reduce the inconsistencies and sending a signal to implement the specific action.

Abstract: Systems and methods for generating and a controller for controlling generation of geothermal power in an organic Rankine cycle (ORC) operation in the vicinity of a wellhead during hydrocarbon production to thereby supply electrical power to one or more of in-field operational equipment, a grid power structure, and an energy storage device. In an embodiment, during hydrocarbon production, a temperature of a flow of wellhead fluid from the wellhead or working fluid may be determined. If the temperature is above a vaporous phase change threshold of the working fluid, heat exchanger valves may be opened to divert flow of wellhead fluid to heat exchangers to facilitate heat transfer from the flow of wellhead fluid to working fluid through the heat exchangers, thereby to cause the working fluid to change from a liquid to vapor, the vapor to cause a generator to generate electrical power via rotation of an expander.
