Abstract: A wireless communication network serves a User Equipment (UE) with a Network Exposure Function (NEF) and multiple Unified Data Elements (UDEs) like Unified Data Managements (UDMs) and Unified Data Repositories (UDRs) The NEF receives initial network data and transfers a UDE query to a Network Repository Function (NRF). The NRF selects a Unified Data Proxy (UDP) and indicates the UDP to the NEF. The NEF receives the UDP indication and responsively transfers the initial network data to the UDP. The UDP receives the initial network data, and in response, selects one of the UDEs. The UDP transfers the initial network data to the selected one of the UDEs. The selected one of the UDEs receives the initial network data, and in response, generates and transfers new network data. In some examples, the UDEs comprise UDMs/UDRs that reside in different Public Land Mobile Networks (PLMNs) from one another and from the NEF.
Abstract: An underwater retrieval game system employs a submersible target having a combination of features that make it difficult to locate underwater. The body portion of the submersible target is translucent and has a density greater than water. The target may be tossed in a swimming pool and sink to the bottom. A game player may jump into the water and try to locate the target. A combination of additional features such as size, shape, and surface texture may make it more difficult to spot the target underwater. A submersible target may comprise a detection device, such as a small light, that is activated after a certain period of time or is activated remotely by a wireless signal. A game player may be challenged to find the targets before the detection device is activated, for example.
Abstract: Systems and methods described herein include a pressure delivery component that has a pressure applicator configured to selectively apply therapeutic pressure to a treatment portion of a user body, and also includes a thermal delivery component that has a thermal applicator that is a configured to apply thermal treatment to the treatment portion. The thermal applicator may be removably disposable in operative relationship with the pressure delivery component in a use configuration of the treatment delivery component such that the thermal applicator is disposable between the treatment portion and the pressure applicator when the treatment delivery component is disposed on the treatment portion in the use configuration. Moreover, the pressure applicator is operable to apply pressure to the thermal applicator to enhance apposition of the thermal applicator to the treatment portion.

Abstract: One or more enzymes are used to repair damage in synthetic DNA molecules that encode digital information. The enzymes are included in a repair mixture containing one or more of DNA polymerase, DNA ligase, T4 Endonuclease, Endonuclease IV, Endonuclease VIII, and uracil glycosylase. The repair mixture may also contain one or more of a buffering solution, oxidized nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD+), and deoxyribose nucleoside triphosphates (dNTPs). The synthetic DNA molecules are incubated with the repair mixture for approximately four hours. Use of the repair solution allows recovery of the digital information from damaged DNA molecules.

Abstract: A system and method for providing electrical stimulation to biological tissue to treat medical conditions. The system can include a lead configured to be positioned in contact with biological tissue proximate one or more occipital nerves, an implantable pulse generator configured to deliver electrical stimulation to the biological tissue via the one or more leads, and/or a power source configured to operatively connect and supply power to the implantable pulse generator. The system can further include a processor configured to communicate with the implantable pulse generator. The processor can operate the implantable pulse generator to deliver the electrical stimulation to the biological tissue via the lead. The implantable pulse generator can deliver the electrical stimulation by applying a stimulation waveform or a stimulation pattern. The stimulation waveform can include a series of stimulation pulses that can vary over time, which can reduce an effect of neural accommodation or adaptation.
Abstract: Methods and apparatus to credit streaming activity using domain level bandwidth information are disclosed. An example apparatus includes a packet collector to collect data packets via a network interface, and a traffic analyzer to determine domain data of the data packets and associate bandwidth usage values with the domain data to define bandwidth usage data by domain. The apparatus also includes a bandwidth usage data storage to store the associated bandwidth usage data by domain.

Abstract: A system and method for decoding an unknown automotive controller area network (“CAN”) message definitions. CAN data vehicle signal mappings are typically held in secret and varied by automotive model and year. Without knowledge of the mappings, the wealth of real-time vehicle data hidden in the automotive CAN packets is uninterpretable—impeding research, after-market tuning, efficiency and performance monitoring, fault diagnosis, and privacy-related technologies. This technology can ascertain the CAN signals' boundaries (start bit and length), endianness (byte ordering), signedness (binary-to-integer encoding) from raw CAN data. This allows conversion of CAN data to time series. Interpreting the translated CAN data's physical meaning and finding a linear mapping to standard units (e.g., knowing the signal is speed and scaling values to represent units of miles per hour) can be achieved for many signals by leveraging diagnostic standards to obtain real-time measurements of in-vehicle systems.

Abstract: According to one or more aspects of the present disclosure, operations related to selecting a transcription generation technique may be disclosed. In some embodiments, the operations may include obtaining multiple user ratings that each correspond to a different one of multiple transcriptions. Each transcription may be obtained using a first transcription generation technique and may correspond to a different one of multiple communication sessions. The operations may further include selecting, for a subsequent communication session that occurs after the multiple communication sessions, a second transcription generation technique based on the user ratings. In addition, the operations may include providing the subsequent transcription to a device during the subsequent communication session.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method, a device, and a program product for managing a computing system. In a method, a current state and a plurality of historical states of a computing device in a computing system are acquired, the plurality of historical states respectively describing historical states of the computing device in the computing system at a plurality of historical time points. In response to determining that the current state matches a scheduling type for scheduling the computing device, the plurality of historical states are searched for a historical state matching the current state. A historical scheduling policy associated with the historical state is determined. Based on the historical scheduling policy, a computing task to be executed by the computing device is allocated to at least one other computing device in the computing system.

Abstract: Described is a novel process for disaggregating biomass pyrolysis oil quantitatively into energy dense hydrophobic aromatic fraction (HAF), fermentable pyrolytic sugars and phenolics based products in a highly economical and energy efficient manner. Phase separation of the esterified pyrolysis oil after an oxidative pre-treatment and the quantitative recovery of the separate fractions is described. Phase separation uses batch as well as continuous reactor systems. The resulting HAF is an energy dense, thermally stable, water free, non-corrosive to carbon steel, and is a free flowing liquid suitable for combustion and for upgrading to transportation fuels. Pyrolytic sugars which are mainly anhydrosugars can be further converted by fermentation to ethanol or other products. Monomeric phenols are useful industrial intermediates and the organic acids in the original pyrolysis oil are mainly recovered as esters of the separation solvents.
