Abstract: A method comprising the steps of forming a recording head comprising a waveguide, a heat sink and a bleed resistor on a first substrate, is described. The bleed resistor is coupled to the heat sink and the substrate. The top surface of the heat sink is planarized to form a planarized heat sink. A laser diode formed on a second substrate is transfer printed onto the planarized heat sink to form an integrated laser diode.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus for automatically obtaining tax documents. The system includes a taxpayer client device and a server configured to automatically identify tax return items associated with the taxpayer by analyzing a prior year tax return. The server is configured to generate a list of tax return items including the automatically identified tax return items. The server is configured to receive, from the taxpayer client device, authentication data for a third party database. The server is configured to access the third party database using the authentication data. The server is configured to receive a document from the third party database and automatically determine whether the document corresponds to a tax return item from the list of tax return items. The server is configured to automatically store the document when the document corresponds to one of the tax return items from the list of tax return items.

Abstract: Disclosed are a battery cell case having a dissoluble mechanism and a high-capacity battery. The battery cell case comprises at least one dissoluble mechanism, which comprises an isolating assembly and a dissoluble assembly; the battery cell case is provided with an opening, where the isolating assembly and the dissoluble mechanism are arranged sequentially in a direction away from the battery cell case; when the dissoluble assembly contacts with electrolyte outside the battery cell case, the isolating assembly is opened because the dissoluble mechanism is dissolved, thereby the interior of the battery cell case communicates with the exterior of the battery cell case. The high-capacity battery comprises at least two battery cells and an electrolyte storage pipeline, where the electrolyte storage pipeline comprises a main pipeline and a plurality of branch pipes, the branch pipes are in one-to-one correspondence to the openings of the battery cell cases.

The device may receive, via a user selection, a high-end correlated color temperature (CCT) value, where the high-end CCT value is associated with a high-end intensity level of the lighting load. The device may receive, via a user selection, a CCT dimming curve from a plurality of selectable curve shapes. The device may determine a bend value and a CCT range based on the selected curve shape. The device may determine a low-end CCT value based on the high-end CCT value and the CCT range, where the low-end CCT value is associated with a low-end intensity level of the lighting load. The device may determine the custom CCT dimming curve based on the high-end CCT value, the low-end CCT value, and the bend value.

Abstract: A batteryless wireless sensor system includes a data acquisition system, a radio frequency (RF) transceiver, and a batteryless wireless sensor device. The RF transceiver is in communication with the data acquisition system, transmits a RF signal, and receives sensor data and provide the sensor data to the data acquisition system. The batteryless wireless sensor device includes a RF transmitter, an analog to digital converter (ADC), and a sensor. The batteryless wireless sensor harvests energy from the RF signal and generates a DC signal based on the energy harvested from the RF signal, powers up and operates the ADC and the sensor based on the DC signal, and generates sensor data. The batteryless wireless sensor then transmits the sensor data via the RF transmitter to the RF transceiver. In certain examples, the ADC is implemented as a current mode ADC.

During operation, the interface circuit may receive signals corresponding to a header of a frame that is compatible with a serial communication protocol, where the received signals include a temporal pattern of binary bits with instances of a dominant signal level and a recessive signal level. Then, the interface circuit may compute a set of conditions based at least in part on the receive signals, where, when valid, the set of conditions identify a first dominant bit in the binary bits having the dominant signal level. Moreover, when the set of conditions are valid, the interface circuit may: determine a location of synchronization field in the header relative to the identified first dominant bit; and calculate a baud rate of the receive signals based at least in part on a subset of the binary bits in the synchronization field.
