Abstract: Examples are disclosed that relate to using an array of hot mirrors in an eye-imaging system. One example provides a head-mounted display system, comprising a frame, an eye-imaging camera supported on the frame, a switchable hot mirror array comprising a plurality of switchable hot mirrors configured to direct light reflecting from an eye toward the eye-imaging camera, and a controller configured to control switching of a reflectivity of each of the plurality of switchable hot mirrors.

Abstract: Systems and methods for implementing a server-less data management may include receiving a dataset comprising a plurality of partitions, scanning the dataset to identify a first partition and a second partition, generating a first kick-off job message associated with the first partition and a second kick-off job message associated with the second partition, sequencing the first kick-off job message before the second kick-off job message based on a sequencing model, generating a first job based on the first kick-off job message and a second job based on the second kick-off job message; and transmitting the first job before the second job based on sequencing the first kick-off job message before the second kick-off job message.

Abstract: A method is provided in one example embodiment and includes detecting actions taken by users in a computer-implemented matching system and, for each of the detected actions, storing data indicative of the detected action. The method further includes filtering the stored data in accordance with at least one filter selected by an administrator of the computer-implemented matching system and creating a user action log from the filtered stored data. The user action log includes all of the stored data that matches the selected at least one filter. The at least one filter may include log start time, log end time, type of action, user ID, target user ID, and/or site type. The detected action may include viewing another user's profile, changing the user's own profile, sending a message to another user via the computer-implemented matching system, and/or performing a matching search using the computer-implemented matching system.

Detection of a missing broadband over power-line signal or of an open circuit between phases of a power distribution circuit may prevent severed conductors from causing a ground fault, therefore avoiding the possibility of fire and dangerous conditions.

Abstract: Upon determining a first user of an object is authorized via first biometric data, object components are controlled based on user data for the first user. A second user is permitted to access the object based on detecting a presence of the second user within a predetermined time of detecting an absence of the first user. Then, upon determining a delay parameter is satisfied, a user status of the second user is determined via second biometric data. The user status is one of authorized or not authorized. The object components are controlled based on the user status of the second user.

Abstract: The present invention comprises a method of managing car wash membership programs that uses unique vehicle identifiers that can be read directly from a vehicle's onboard computer. This method works with vehicles that possess an onboard computer (i.e., “connected cars”) that collects data on the vehicle itself (e.g. vehicle identification number (VIN), oil life, fuel level) and exposes an interface that makes it possible for external systems to request and read this data. An example scenario utilizing this method involves a customer who installs a software application (app) for the car wash on their smartphone. The customer then selects their desired subscription car wash package within the app and the app initiates a communication link directly with the vehicle that will be associated with this membership account.

The first shell and second shell may be configured to be releasably secured by the first frame component and second frame component, respectively. Abstract: Described herein are brake assemblies that may be useful for window treatments, such as spring-balanced motorized window treatments, including spring-balanced shades. The brake assemblies include brake springs of wire formed into a plurality of coils. The plurality of coils may terminate in a tang assembly, the tang assembly having a tang and a support portion. A support portion supports the tang when the tang is acted on by a force (e.g., a spring tightening or a spring loosening force). The support portion greatly reduces the hazard of the tang bending, because the tang is supported at each of its ends. With less chance of bending at the tang, a smaller wire diameter may be used for the brake spring, which creates less drag when rotating in a driven state. In the case of battery-driven shades, less drag saves battery life.

Abstract: Examples are disclosed relating to arming and managing power consumption of a haptic feedback component in a stylus prior to actuating the haptic feedback component to produce haptic output. In one example, at least on condition of detecting a first user interaction with the stylus, power is transmitted for at least a first time period to a haptic circuit communicatively coupled to the haptic feedback component. At least on condition of determining that the first time period expires, it is determined if a second user interaction with the stylus is detected. If the second user interaction is detected, the stylus continues transmitting power to the haptic circuit. If the second user interaction is not detected, the stylus ceases transmitting power to the haptic circuit.

When the time value indicates illumination is needed, initiating illumination of at least one light emitting device of each the marker system components, thereby, synchronizing of the initiating of illumination to the time value for all marker system components.
