Abstract: A heat sink includes a first flange, a second flange, and an accordion-shaped medial portion continuous between the first flange and the second flange. The first flange and the second flange are configured to be attached to a circuit board. The accordion-shaped medial portion includes troughs on a proximal side of the accordion-shaped medial portion and crests on a distal side of the accordion-shaped medial portion such that the heat sink is configured to disperse heat away from the circuit board.

Abstract: Disclosed are systems and methods for improving interactions with and between computers in content providing, searching and/or hosting systems supported by or configured with devices, servers and/or platforms. The disclosed systems and methods provide a novel asset management and visualization framework that automatically generates and causes display of a unified asset centric analytics electronic interface. The framework composes selected data based on asset metrics and renders a display that conveys a unified, asset-centric analytics user interface. The framework is configured to track or monitor detailed metrics for a collection of assets, and filter, select, and present determined critical data within the UI, in some embodiments, as interactive, electronic cards and/or as an asset tree of information that is configured to be navigated upon display.

Abstract: In a method for efficiently guiding a driver of a vehicle through intersections, information regarding status of one or more traffic lights positioned at one or more intersections is received by a computing device or system associated with the driver or vehicle. A value of speed for the vehicle that, if matched by the driver, causes the vehicle to arrive at the intersection while the traffic light is green and avoids stopping as the vehicle moves through the intersection, is calculated. A dynamic visual or audio indicator is caused, by the computing device or system, to be presented to the driver via a display or speaker, respectively, of the computing device or system. Causing the dynamic indicator to be presented to the driver includes setting the dynamic indicator based on the calculated value of speed.

Abstract: A liveliness prediction output is provided from a liveliness biometric analysis task that is determined by a deep neural network based on an image provided from an image sensor wherein the liveliness biometric analysis task is performed in a deep neural network that includes a common feature extraction neural network and a plurality of task-specific neural networks including a face detection neural network, a body pose neural network and a liveliness neural network including a region of interest (ROI) detection neural network and a texture analysis neural network to determine the liveliness biometric analysis task by inputting the image to the common feature extraction neural network to determine latent variables. The latent variables can be input to the face detection neural network and the liveliness neural network. Output from the face detection neural network can be input to the ROI detection neural network.

Abstract: A method for programming a non-volatile memory structure, comprises initiating a two-dimensional fractional number of bits-per-cell programming scheme of a plurality of memory cells, wherein the memory structure comprises: (1) a first memory array comprising a first population of memory cells and the associated peripheral circuitry disposed below the first population of cells, (2) a second memory array positioned above the first memory array and comprising a second population of memory cells and associated peripheral circuitry disposed above the second population of cells, and (3) a data bus tap electrically coupling the first and second memory arrays. Further, the method comprises: (1) storing input data in data latches associated with the first array and with the second array. Additionally, the method comprises converting the stored data using data conversion logic implemented by a data path circuit of the first and second arrays and rewriting the converted data to the latches.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure provide methods and apparatuses for video encoding/decoding. In some examples, an apparatus for video decoding includes a processor that is configured to decode prediction information of a current block in a current coding tree unit (CTU) from a coded video bitstream. The prediction information is indicative of an intra block copy mode. The processor is configured to determine a search range for the intra block copy mode based on a size of the current CTU, and determine a block vector that points to a reference block in a same picture as the current block and within the determined search range, the reference block having reconstructed samples buffered in a reference sample memory. Further, the processor is configured to reconstruct at least a sample of the current block based on the reconstructed samples of the reference block that are retrieved from the reference sample memory.

Abstract: A modular knee brace assembly includes a brace that is worn around a knee after orthopedic surgery has been performed on the knee. A wedge is removably coupled to the brace when the brace is worn around the knee. The wedge is positioned on a back side of the knee to support the knee in a bent position when the user is lying on the user's back. An inner knee support is removably coupled to the brace when the brace is worn around the knee. The inner knee support extends between each of the user's knees when the user lies on their side. An outer knee support is removably coupled to the brace when the brace is worn around the knee. In this way the outer knee support supports the knee when the user lies on the user's side.

Abstract: In accordance with one aspect of the present disclosure, a movable barrier operator including a body, a motor supported by the body, and a rotatable drive supported by the body and configured to be connected to an elongated driven member. The movable barrier operator further includes a shaft supported by the body and a compound gear mounted on the shaft. The compound gear includes a first gear operably coupled to a drive shaft of the motor and a second gear operably coupled to the rotatable drive. The first and second gears connected such that turning of the first gear causes turning of the second gear.

Abstract: A system in a water body uses buoyant force of gaseous Hydrogen and Oxygen to generate electrical power with one or more turbines that includes power resulting from the buoyant force while transporting the Hydrogen or Oxygen to a higher elevation, without loss of electrons, for conversion to electricity at the higher elevation. Conversion of Hydrogen and Oxygen to water through a Hydrogen Fuel Cell or by burning at the higher elevation may generate additional steam power, hydropower, or purified water. Portable submersible modules may transport the system below or above the water to and from the base of a plumbing portion of the system. The amount of gaseous fuel energy available at the higher elevation is not detrimentally impacted by the generation of electricity by the turbine.

The reflective polarizer is supported over the tiltable reflector and configured to receive and redirect a light beam towards the tiltable reflector for scanning the light beam. A projector includes the beam scanner and a light source providing a light beam. The light beam may be modulated in brightness, color, or polarization synchronously with tilting the reflector, thereby forming an image in angular domain after propagating through a pupil-replicating waveguide. At least one folding mirror may be provided for directing the light beam from the light source around the pupil-replicating waveguide, resulting in a compact overall configuration.

An instructor in the instructional media provides guidance as to how to perform an activity when the instructional media is played on the device. The computing system obtains user data pertaining to performance of the activity by the user. The computing system generates a user-customized portion of the instructional media based upon the user data and a computer-implemented model. The computing system causes the user-customized portion to be played on the device to the user, where the device emits audible words reproduced in a voice of the instructor, where the audible words are based upon the user data, and further where the device displays generated images of the instructor depicting the instructor speaking the audible words as the device emits the audible words.

Abstract: A method of presenting computer-generated search result information can include receiving a search request from a client computer; identifying a plurality of search results responsive to the search request; ranking the plurality of search results using content in one or more web notebooks; and providing the ranked plurality of search results for presentation in the client computer. Using the content can include determining whether at least one of a title, a heading, clipped content, metadata or a user-annotation in at least one web notebook relates to the search request and, if so, increasing a ranking of at least one search result referenced by the at least one web notebook.

Abstract: Systems and methods that enable implementation of content aware file management labeling. Techniques disclosed enable real-time analysis of a data file so that associations between the data file and applicable file management label(s) can be automatically suggested and/or made while a user is working in the data file. A user may deploy an application on a client device to edit a data file. While the user is actively editing the data file, the application may transmit modification data to a content analysis service which analyzes the modification data to determine whether the modifications result in a file management label becoming applicable to the data file. Ultimately, the content analysis service may transmit a verdict to the client device to cause the application to display a labeling suggestion to the user and/or to automatically apply a label to the data file while it is being worked on by the user.

Abstract: Systems and methods for operating a controlled device via an activation accessory that includes a vibration motor, a wearable module including a clench-detection sensor (e.g., a Hall effect sensor), and a communication element. The sensor is coupled to a controller, which has an output coupled to a control signal interface and another output coupled to the vibration motor. The controller is programmed to receive and evaluate input signals from the sensor to determine whether or not they represent a command for the controlled device by assessing the input signals for a signal pattern indicative of a plurality of volitional jaw clench actions of a wearer of the wearable module. If/when the processor determines that the input signals represent the command, then it decodes the command and transmits an associated control signal to the controlled device via the control signal interface as well as an activation signal to the vibration motor.
