Patent number: 12245379Abstract: Methods and systems for low-force, low-temperature thermocompression bonding. The present application teaches new methods and structures for three-dimensional integrated circuits, in which cold thermocompression bonding is used to provide reliable bonding. To achieve this, reduction and passivation steps are preferably both used to reduce native oxide on the contact metals and to prevent reformation of native oxide, preferably using atmospheric plasma treatments. Preferably the physical compression height of the elements is set to be only enough to reliably achieve at least some compression of each bonding element pair, compensating for any lack of flatness. Preferably the thermocompression bonding is performed well below the melting point. This not only avoids the deformation of lower levels which is induced by reflow techniques, but also provides a steep relation of force versus z-axis travel, so that a drastically-increasing resistance to compression helps to regulate the degree of thermocompression.Type: GrantFiled: October 27, 2020Date of Patent: March 4, 2025Assignee: SET NORTH AMERICA, LLCInventor: Eric Frank Schulte

Patent number: 12241965Abstract: A radar system for interacting with navigation targets is provided. The radar system is configured to interact with navigation targets (target devices) that shift the phase of a received radar transmission to generate a phase shifted response signal. Phase shifters (e.g., silicon germanium phase shifters) are designed to assign specific frequency responses from one or more navigation modules to identify target locations. The radar module transmits at a modulated signal at first frequency, each navigation target receives the radar transmission, phase shifts the signal and returns the phase shifted signal. Where two or more navigation targets are used, each will apply a different phase shift to the received radar transmission, wherein the frequency identifies the navigation target devices. In a radar system, the modulated transmission signal is compared to the returned phase shifted signal to determine a frequency difference between the two signals.Type: GrantFiled: June 2, 2021Date of Patent: March 4, 2025Assignee: BDCM A2 LLCInventors: Narek Rostomyan, Abdullah Ahsan Zaidi, Kenneth Ray Carroll, Maha Achour

Patent number: 12242900Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for providing method for providing an event timer for event synchronization across Kubernetes clusters. The event timer is configured to provide event synchronization on behalf of microservice instances in the cloud computing environment. In response to a request for an event timer for a timed event, it is determined whether the requested event timer has been started for a second microservice instance. If the requested event timer has been started, a state of the requested event timer is sent to the first microservice instance If the requested event timer has not been started, the requested event timer is instantiated, and a state of the instantiated event timer is stored in a database. The instantiated event timer is independent of the first and second microservice instances. In response to an expiration of the event timer, a single callback for processing of the event is generated.Type: GrantFiled: August 30, 2021Date of Patent: March 4, 2025Assignee: MICROSOFT TECHNOLOGY LICENSING, LLCInventors: Kunal Anand Ekawde, Abhay Balappanavar, Michael Anthony Brown, Ronald Mark Parker, Anupama Raghavan, Dhananjaya Eadala, Rama Krishna Prasad Mangalaparthi, Mark Gordon Libby

Patent number: 12243273Abstract: In one embodiment, a method includes initializing latent codes respectively associated with times associated with frames in a training video of a scene captured by a camera. For each of the frames, a system (1) generates rendered pixel values for a set of pixels in the frame by querying NeRF using the latent code associated with the frame, a camera viewpoint associated with the frame, and ray directions associated with the set of pixels, and (2) updates the latent code associated with the frame and the NeRF based on comparisons between the rendered pixel values and original pixel values for the set of pixels. Once trained, the system renders output frames for an output video of the scene, wherein each output frame is rendered by querying the updated NeRF using one of the updated latent codes corresponding to a desired time associated with the output frame.Type: GrantFiled: January 7, 2022Date of Patent: March 4, 2025Assignee: META PLATFORMS TECHNOLOGIES, LLCInventors: Zhaoyang Lv, Miroslava Slavcheva, Tianye Li, Michael Zollhoefer, Simon Gareth Green, Tanner Schmidt, Michael Goesele, Steven John Lovegrove, Christoph Lassner, Changil Kim
