  • Patent number: 11668476
Abstract: A dehumidification system includes a compressor, a primary evaporator, a primary condenser, a secondary evaporator, a secondary condenser, a modulating valve, and an alternate condenser. The secondary evaporator receives an inlet airflow and outputs a first airflow to the primary evaporator. The primary evaporator receives the first airflow and outputs a second airflow to the secondary condenser. The secondary condenser receives the second airflow and outputs a third airflow to the primary condenser. The primary condenser receives the third airflow and outputs a dehumidified airflow. The compressor receives a flow of refrigerant from the primary evaporator and provides the flow of refrigerant to the modulating valve. The modulating valve directs the flow of refrigerant to the primary condenser and to the alternate condenser. The alternate condenser receives a portion of the flow of refrigerant for heat rejection, where the primary condenser receives the remaining portion of the flow of refrigerant.

  • Patent number: 11670475
Abstract: A bearing structure for an X-ray tube is provided that includes a journal bearing shaft with a radially protruding thrust bearing encased within a sleeve. The structure of sleeve is formed with enlarged traps or voids in the sleeve that are disposed adjacent various rotating anti-wetting seals/seal surfaces formed between the sleeve and the shaft. The geometry of the traps is formed to retain liquid metal/lubricating fluid within the gap defined by the bearing assembly and to direct to liquid metal flowing outwardly from the gap defined between the sleeve and the shaft away from the rotating anti-wetting seals and back towards the gap. This geometry allows the centrifugal forces exerted on the liquid metal by the rotation of the bearing structure to move the outflowing liquid metal away from the rotating anti-wetting seals to significantly reduce contact of the liquid metal with the seals.

  • Patent number: 11669098
Abstract: Autonomous control of a subject vehicle including a longitudinal motion control system includes determining states of parameters associated with a trajectory for the subject vehicle and parameters associated with a control reference determined for the subject vehicle. A range control routine is executed to determine a first parameter associated with a range control command based upon the states of the plurality of parameters, and a speed control routine is executed to determine a second parameter associated with a speed control command based upon the states of the plurality of parameters. An arbitration routine is executed to evaluate the range control command and the speed control command, and operation of the subject vehicle is controlled to achieve a desired longitudinal state, wherein the desired longitudinal state is associated with a minimum of the range control command and the speed control command.

  • Patent number: 11668882
Abstract: A cleaning nozzle includes an outer housing having a central axis and an inner surface that defines an outer housing interior. An inner housing resides within the outer housing interior along the central axis and has an inner surface that defines an inner flow channel. The inner flow channel supports flow of the cleaning fluid and has a converging taper and a flow disrupter element. The nozzle assembly may include an adapter that receives a front end of the nozzle and that also holds a ferrule that supports an optical fiber having an end face. The nozzle assembly allows the nozzle to direct a jet stream of cleaning fluid to the ferrule end face and the fiber end face. The flow disrupter causes the jet stream to have a time-varying direction that enhances the cleaning of the ferrule end face and the optical fiber end face.

  • Patent number: 11669972
Abstract: A system detects multiple instances of an object in a digital image by receiving a two-dimensional (2D) image that includes a plurality of instances of an object in an environment. For example, the system may receive the 2D image from a camera or other sensing modality of an autonomous vehicle (AV). The system uses a first object detection network to generate a plurality of predicted object instances in the image. The system then receives a data set that comprises depth information corresponding to the plurality of instances of the object in the environment. The data set may be received, for example, from a stereo camera of an AV, and the depth information may be in the form of a disparity map. The system may use the depth information to identify an individual instance from the plurality of predicted object instances in the image.

  • Patent number: 11670380
Abstract: Technology for two-sided adjacent memory cell interference mitigation in a non-volatile storage system is disclosed. During reading of target memory cells, the storage system applies a suitable magnitude read pass voltage to a first unselected word line adjacent to a target word line to compensate for interference from adjacent cells on the first unselected word line while applying a suitable magnitude read reference voltage to the target word line to compensate for interference from adjacent cells on a second unselected word line on the other side of the target word line. The read pass voltage may compensate for interference due to charge being added to when programming cells on the first unselected word line after programming the target cells. The read reference voltage may compensate for interference due to charge movement near the target cells that results from charge stored in the cells on the second unselected word line.

  • Patent number: 11669897
Abstract: Aspects described herein may allow for receiving, by a detection server, a plurality of configuration parameters, wherein each configuration parameter includes a type of a risk and an associated level of the risk, with a corresponding automated remediation action for each configuration parameter. A remediation management framework authenticates the detection server for access to the remediation management framework and initiates a scanning of a system of interest, based on the plurality of configuration parameters, by the detection server, to identify one or more risk findings. The remediation management framework receives the identified one more risk findings; and matches each of the one or more risk findings with the plurality of configuration parameters, which then triggers by the remediation management framework, the corresponding automated remediation action associated with each of the one or more risk findings.

  • Patent number: 11670182
Abstract: There is presented systems and methods to present air traffic and other related hazards on a flight deck display in a manner that presents relevant aircraft that may be of interest to flight deck personnel at a future time, accompanied with decluttering the display by removing information pertaining to aircraft that are of lesser impact to the safe navigation of an ownship aircraft. The improved avionics system of the present invention can make decisions that are more intelligent on how to best present traffic information to a flight crew in a manner that improves upon the prior hardware processes and increases efficiency of operation of the avionics hardware and processing system by presenting relevant information and suppressing unnecessary computation and modification of display elements.

  • Patent number: 11668685
Abstract: Modified thermoplastic hydrocarbon thermoplastic resins are provided, as well as methods of their manufacture and uses thereof in rubber compositions. The modified thermoplastic resins are modified by decreasing the relative quantity of the dimer, trimer, tetramer, and pentamer oligomers as compared to the corresponding unmodified thermoplastic resin polymers, resulting in a product that exhibits a greater shift in the glass transition temperature of the elastomer(s) used in tire formulations. This translates to better viscoelastic predictors of tire tread performance, such as wet grip and rolling resistance. The modified thermoplastic resins impart remarkable properties on various rubber compositions, such as tires, belts, hoses, brakes, and the like. Automobile tires incorporating the modified thermoplastic resins are shown to possess excellent results in balancing the properties of rolling resistance, tire wear, snow performance, and wet braking performance.

  • Patent number: 11668844
Abstract: A system and method for the measurement of radiation emitted from an in-vivo administered radioactive analyte. Gamma radiation sensors may be used to determine the proper or improper administration of a radioactive analyte, and identify patient administration factors that correlate with improper administration over a set of patients so as to identify administration risk factors to improve administration of radioactive analyte. In some cases, the system employs a sensor having a scintillation material to convert gamma radiation to visible light, which enables embodiments of the sensor to be ex vivo. A light detector converts the visible light to an electrical signal. This signal is amplified and is processed to measure the captured radiation. The sensor enables collection of sufficient data to support separate application to predictive models, background comparisons, or change analysis.
