Abstract: A method for trimming analog temperature sensors. First, raise a temperature of a temperature sensor to a highest temperature of a qualification temperature range. Then, trim the temperature sensor such that a high temperature code generated by the temperature sensor represents an actual temperature reported by the temperature sensor at the highest temperature. Next, lower the temperature of the temperature sensor to a lowest temperature of the qualification temperature range. Determine a slope error between the high temperature code and a low temperature code generated by the temperature sensor at the lowest temperature. Finally, determine a correction function that compensates for the slope error of measured temperature codes generated by the temperature sensor for temperatures across the qualification temperature range.
Abstract: A wireless device receives one or more radio resource control (RRC) messages. The RRC messages comprise: one or more first feedback parameters for selecting first feedback radio resources of a sidelink; and one or more second feedback parameters for selecting second feedback radio resources of the sidelink. A sidelink transmission comprising sidelink control information (SCI) indicating a priority level of the sidelink transmission is received. Based on the priority level, one or more radio resources are selected from one of: the first feedback radio resources based on the one or more first feedback parameters; and the second feedback radio resources based on the one or more second feedback parameters. A hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback for the sidelink transmission is transmitted via the selected one or more radio resources.
Abstract: Example embodiments relate to low elevation side lobe antennas with fan-shaped beams. An example radar unit may include a radiating plate having a first side and a second side with an illuminator, a waveguide horn, a waveguide opening, and a radiating sleeve extending into the first side of the radiating plate. The waveguide opening is positioned on the first end of the first side and the radiating sleeve is positioned on the second end of the first side. The radar unit also includes a metallic cover coupled to the first side of the radiating plate such that the metallic cover and the radiating plate form waveguide structures.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communications. In some aspects, a wireless device reduces a peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) of a discrete-time orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) transmission by selecting a signal with low PAPR from a set of candidate discrete-time OFDM signals. The wireless device may generate a partial-update discrete-time OFDM signal by performing a sparse transform operation on a base data symbol sequence, and then linearly combine the partial-update discrete-time OFDM signal with a base discrete-time OFDM signal to produce an updated discrete-time OFDM signal, which is added to the set of candidate discrete-time OFDM signals. Numerous other aspects are provided.
Abstract: A method for video encoding includes encoding prediction information of a current block in a current picture into a coded video bitstream, the prediction information being indicative of a symmetric motion vector difference (SMVD) mode for bi-prediction from a pair of forward and backward reference pictures. The method further includes, when searching for the pair of the forward and backward reference pictures, skipping a reference picture associated with a weighted prediction without checking a picture order count (POC) of the reference picture. The method also includes determining a first reference block for the current block in the forward reference picture and a second reference block for the current block in the backward reference picture, and reconstructing the current block according to the first reference block and the second reference block.

An electro-magnetic closure system is configured to retain the first and second displays in the closed face-to-face orientation against the biasing torque of the spring-loaded opening mechanism, and release of the electro-magnetic closure system permits the first housing part to rotationally separate from the second housing part to a predetermined angular orientation due to the biasing force of the spring-loaded opening mechanism.
Abstract: Implementations of ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) self-test circuits may include: a current transformer coupled to a controller, a silicon controlled rectifier (SCR) test loop coupled to the controller, a ground fault test loop coupled to the controller, and a solenoid coupled to the controller. The SCR test loop may be configured to conduct an SCR self-test during a first half wave portion of a phase and the ground fault test loop may be configured to conduct a ground fault self-test during a second half wave portion of a phase. An SCR may be configured to activate the solenoid to deny power to a load upon one of the SCR self-test or the ground fault self-test being identified as failing.

Abstract: An adiabatic resonator, an adiabatic oscillator, and an adiabatic oscillator system are disclosed. An adiabatic system is one that ideally transfers no heat outside of the system, thereby reducing the required operating power. The adiabatic resonator, which includes a plurality of tank circuits, acts as an energy reservoir, the missing aspect of previously attempted adiabatic computational systems. By using the adiabatic resonator as a feedback element with an amplifier, an adiabatic oscillator is formed. An adiabatic oscillator system is formed with a primary adiabatic oscillator feeding a plurality of secondary adiabatic oscillators. In this manner, the adiabatic oscillator system may be used to generate the multiple clock signals required of adiabatic computational logic elements, such as Split-level Charge Recovery Logic and 2-Level Adiabatic Logic.

Abstract: An apparatus, such as a nonvolatile solid-state memory device, may, in some implementations, include access line bias circuitry to set a bias level associated with a deselected access line(s) of a memory core in response to mode information. In one approach, access line bias circuitry may use linear down regulation to change a voltage level on deselected access lines of a memory core. A memory access device, such as a host processor, may be provided that is capable of dynamically setting a mode of operation of a memory core of a memory device in order to manage power consumption of the memory. Other apparatuses and methods are also provided.
Abstract: The subject disclosure relates to ways to determine the mass of a vehicle, such as an autonomous vehicle (AV), based on the vehicle pose. In some aspects, a method of the disclosed technology includes steps for measuring a first pose of a vehicle using one or more environmental sensors, measuring a second pose of the vehicle using the one or more environmental sensors, and calculating a mass of the vehicle based on the first pose and the second pose. Systems and machine-readable media are also provided.
Abstract: An elongate air delivery assembly having a housing extending between two end caps. The housing includes a plurality of exit vents from which airflow is provided in a consistent sheet at a uniform velocity, and the housing is rotatable about a central longitudinal axis to change a direction of the airflow. A method of improving plant cultivation includes positioning one or more elongate air delivery systems adjacent rows of plants such that the sheet of air generated by the elongate air delivery system is directed horizontally across the plants underneath their plant canopy.

Abstract: The invention provides methods for isolating RNA from whole urine and urine fractions for the diagnosis of prostate cancer and/or benign prostate hyperplasia. An exemplary method for diagnosing prostate cancer in an individual, said method comprises: (a) determining the amount of RNA encoding one or more diagnostic genes in the soluble urine fraction of a urine sample obtained from said individual; (b) comparing the amount of said RNA to a reference value for said one or more diagnostic genes, wherein said reference value is derived from the amount of RNA encoding said one or more diagnostic genes in one or more individuals that do not have prostate cancer; and (c) diagnosing said individual as having prostate cancer when the amount of said RNA is greater than said reference value.
Abstract: A bicycle rear derailleur includes a movable member and a chain guide assembly rotatably connected to the movable member. The bicycle rear derailleur also includes a pivot member non-rotatably coupled to the chain guide assembly and having an outer annular surface, a biasing device configured to bias the chain guide assembly in a first rotational direction relative to the movable member, and a damper device disposed between the chain guide assembly and the movable member. The damper device is operable to apply a damping force to the chain guide assembly when the chain guide assembly rotates in a second rotational direction relative to the movable member. The damper device includes a friction device that is radially inner relative to the biasing device. The friction device includes a friction member having at least one friction surface biased against and in frictional engagement with the pivot member.
