Abstract: An context-based encoding mechanism uses a predetermined number of bytes in a previous segment of a file to determine a context for the current segment. The current segment is encoded using a dictionary that corresponds to the determined context. An example method includes determining, for a first segment in a data file, a first context state based on a first context segment within the data file that precedes the first segment, identifying a first indexed dictionary from a plurality of indexed dictionaries based on the first context state, and encoding the first segment using the identified first indexed dictionary.

Abstract: A wireless may determine an initial timing of a first HARQ feedback and a first timing of second HARQ feedback(s). The wireless device may determine to defer the first HARQ feedback from the initial timing to the first timing. The wireless device may transmit, in the first timing, a HARQ feedback codebook comprising the first HARQ feedback and the second HARQ feedback(s). Based on the first HARQ feedback being deferred, a first position of the first HARQ feedback in the HARQ feedback codebook may be after second position(s) of the second HARQ feedback(s).

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for securing a network, for admitting new nodes into an existing network, and/or for securely forming a new network. As a non-limiting example, an existing node may be triggered by a user, in response to which the existing node communicates with a network coordinator node. Thereafter, if a new node attempts to enter the network, and also for example has been triggered by a user, the network coordinator may determine, based at least in part on parameters within the new node and the network coordinator, whether the new node can enter the network.

Abstract: A machine for applying spouts to containers includes a heating tunnel for heating spouts, and a conveyor for conveying spouts through the heating tunnel for heating. The conveyor is a loop conveyor including a plurality of spout holding rack assemblies mounted thereon, wherein the loop conveyor defines a conveyor path from a spout loading zone, through the heating tunnel and then back to the spout loading zone. The machine includes (i) multi-material warp resistant rack holding assemblies, and/or (ii) a spout infeed track at a spout infeed side of the conveyor that includes an adjustment assembly for permitting adjustment of a number of spouts fed from the spout infeed track into an aligned spout holding rack assembly, and/or (iii) a spout emptying passage at a spout outfeed side of the conveyor, and/or (iv) a controller configured to track the position of each spout holding rack assembly along the conveyor path.

Abstract: A conveyor belt system having a belt in contact with an array of actuators that are functional to move the belt in a direction perpendicular to the plane of the belt. The belt actuators can be functional to move individually to form a desired topography of the belt. The conveyor belt system can, thereby, move a workpiece in three dimensions for improved manufacturing and/or warehousing.
Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure provide methods and apparatuses for point cloud compression and decompression. In some examples, an apparatus for point cloud compression/decompression includes processing circuitry. In some embodiments, the processing circuitry decodes prediction information of a point cloud from a coded bitstream and reconstructs a geometry reconstructed cloud according to a geometry image of the point cloud that is decoded from the coded bitstream. Further, the processing circuitry applies a filter to at least a geometry sample inside a patch of the geometry reconstructed cloud in addition to boundary samples of the patch to generate a smoothed geometry reconstructed cloud, and reconstructs points of the point cloud based on the smoothed geometry reconstructed cloud.
Abstract: A sensor system and process that utilizes impedance/conductivity measurements to track the movement of hardness in an ion exchange media. The impedance/conductivity sensor is a vertical, longitudinally directed, axially lengthwise electrode system having electrodes placed within a bed of ion exchange material and separated by water and the ion exchange material. The electrodes generally run parallel to one another. Hard water is introduced to the water softener and softened by the ion exchange material. A hardness gradient is tracked by the sensor, and regeneration is initiated when it is determined that the ion exchange material is depleted or exhausted.
Abstract: A water treatment system having a base assembly and a treatment assembly. The treatment assembly of the system may be configured to filter particulates from water. The base assembly may include a UV reactor operable to disinfect water for consumption.

Abstract: Methods and systems for an electric drive axle are provided. An electric drive axle, in one example, includes an electric machine rotationally coupled to a gearbox which includes a higher range planetary gear set coupled to a lower range planetary gear set via a clutch. The clutch is configured to selectively rotationally couple an input gear to a sun gear in each of the higher range planetary gear set and the lower range planetary gear set in different positions or selectively rotationally couple a carrier in the higher range planetary gear set to a carrier and a sun gear in the lower range planetary gear set in different positions.
Abstract: The present disclosure is generally directed to compositions that include antibodies, e.g., monoclonal, chimeric, humanized antibodies, antibody fragments, etc., that specifically bind one or more epitopes within a Siglec-9 protein, e.g., human Siglec-9 or a mammalian Siglec-9, and use of such compositions in preventing, reducing risk, or treating an individual in need thereof.

Abstract: A method for deduplicating data comprising: obtaining, from a metadata node and by file system client executing on a client application node, a data layout; generating, by the client application node, a fingerprint for the data stored on the client application node; generating, by a memory hypervisor module executing on the client application node, at least one input/output (I/O) request specifying a location in a storage pool, wherein the location is determined using the data layout; issuing, by the memory hypervisor module, the at least one I/O request to the storage pool, wherein processing the at least one I/O request results in at least a portion of the data being stored at the location; and after issuing the at least one I/O request to the storage pool, transmitting the fingerprint to the metadata node, wherein the metadata node attempts to deduplicate the data using the fingerprint.
Abstract: An electromechanical system operates in part through physical interaction with an operator, and includes a multi-axis robot, a controller, and a counterbalance mechanism connected to the robot. The counterbalance mechanism includes a base structure connected to a set of linkages, a pneumatic cylinder, a spring-loaded cam assembly, and an optional constant force spring. The linkages form a four-bar parallelogram assembly connectable to a load. The cylinder and cam assembly, and optional constant force spring, each impart respective vertical forces to the parallelogram assembly. The forces combine to provide gravity compensation and self-centering functions or behaviors to the load, enabling the load to move with a vertical degree of freedom when manually acted upon by the operator, and to return the load to a nominal center position.
