Abstract: Apparatus and method for separating oil from water in produced oil without requiring large separation tanks in which the fluid is heated, using a simple, energy efficient separation process, are described. Centrifugal forces, by themselves, are not effective for completely separating a two-component fluid, especially when the densities of the fluids are similar, such as for heavy oil. By combining both primary and secondary acoustic forces, and taking advantage of centrifugal forces from fluid flow, such that acoustic radiation forces initiate the process of droplet accumulation, and contribute to droplet coalescence, centrifugal separation is enhanced.
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for secondary content management, including preventing viewing fraud, are disclosed. In one embodiment, apparatus of the present disclosure includes an Advertisement Decisioning Service (ADS) and Manifest Manipulator (MM) configured cooperate to receive client requests for secondary content, select one or more secondary content elements (e.g., advertisements), and generate and transmit one or more identifiers that uniquely identify the client's request for a session. The selected advertisements in one implementation include embedded beacons or tags used to ensure accurate accounting with regards to the amount or quality of consumption of the advertisement by a user.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for dynamic power allocation of a first maximum uplink power and a second maximum uplink power, wherein the first maximum uplink power is used by a first transmitter to communicate with a first access point and the second maximum uplink power is used by a second transmitter to communicate with a second access point (dual connectivity). Network parameters are determined based on characteristics and/or qualities of the downlink and/or uplink signals of a wireless communication session. In response to the determined network parameters, the WCD may increase a first maximum uplink power and decrease a second maximum uplink power in order to establish or maintain dual connectivity without exceeding the device's maximum total uplink power.

Abstract: A battery is provided having heat transfer bars that directly transfer heat between the interior layers of a battery cell and the case that encloses the battery cell. The battery does not transfer significant heat from its interior layers to the posts of the battery that reside outside of the battery case. A temperature-controlled power system also is provided that uses multiple, active thermoelectric devices paired with multiple batteries to provide individual temperature control of the individual batteries forming the power system. The multiple, active thermoelectric devices preferably transfer heat to a single radiator on each side of the power system. A method of transferring heat from a battery interior using conductive, active, and convective heat transfer is also described.
Abstract: An apparatus for a wearable sanitizer dispenser that comprises elastic elements filled with liquid sanitizer. Each elastic element is for storing, transporting and dispensing sanitizer. The elastic element has a slit on its surface. The release of liquid sanitizer stored in the elastic element is prompted by compressing the elastic element and squeezing liquid sanitizer through the slit. The slit is also used for inserting liquid sanitizer into the elastic element. Multiple elastic elements can be strung together through the tube, or connected on the exterior of the elements by other elastic elements, and worn as a bracelet or necklace. The apparatus may also be used to dispense other types of fluid, such as lotion.
