  • Patent number: 11654640
Abstract: Systems and methods of controlling outputs of infrared heaters used to join a first part to a second part, and a component made thereby. Upper and lower nests hold the first and second parts, respectively. A movable heating platen has infrared heaters on opposite surfaces. Imaging sensors have fields of view encompassing heated portions of the first and second parts, respectively, when the platen is retracted away from an area between the upper and lower nests. A controller causes the upper and lower nests to move while causing the platen to extend into and retract away from the area between the upper and lower nests. The first imaging sensor takes a first image of the heated portions of the first part, which causes an adjustment to be made to an output of the infrared heaters in a subsequent welding cycle.

  • Patent number: 11657498
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer-storage media, for a lighting controller for sea lice detection. In some implementations, fish are contained within an elliptical tank filled with water. An imaging station located on the elliptical tank is used to capture an image of a fish from which image analysis can be performed to detect sea lice or other skin features, including lesions, on the fish. Pairs of imaging assemblies coordinate pulsing light of at least a first and a second color and capturing images of the fish while the fish is illuminated by at least the first and the second color. By using the captured images with different color light, computers can detect features on the body of a fish including sea lice, skin lesions, shortened operculum or other physical deformities and skin features. • Patent number: 11659433
Abstract: A wireless device determines a change in a signal quality measurement of a wireless network. In response to the determining, a first message for changing one or more media for a video call in the wireless network is transmitted from the wireless device to a video application function (AF). A policy and charging rules function (PCRF) receives from the video AF, a DIAMETER AA-request (AAR) command for modifying a quality of service (QoS) of the video call. The PCRF transmits to a policy and charging enforcement function (PCEF), a second message comprising an updated QoS, wherein the updated QoS comprises QoS data bearer modification information based on the change in the signal quality measurement of the wireless network. The PCEF implements the updated QoS for the video call.

  • Patent number: 11656922
Abstract: Aspects of the technology described herein are directed towards systems, methods, and computer storage media for, among other things, providing personalized notification management. Notifications can be communicated to a user upon receipt or queued for subsequent handling based on a probability that the user will interact with the notification within a threshold elapsed time from presentation, if it is presented. The probability is determined based on a user's past interactions with similar notifications. The interactions of other users with notifications can also be considered to determine the probability. The notifications can be managed by a notification broker.

  • Patent number: 11659533
Abstract: A communication management resource receives input indicating presence of a pair of wireless stations including a first wireless station and a second wireless station in a network environment. Based on a determined amount of adjacent channel interference between the first wireless station and the second wireless station, the communication management resource generates an adjacent channel interference value. The communication management resource assigns the adjacent channel interference value to the pair of wireless stations. The adjacent channel interference value indicates an estimate of adjacent channel interference between the first wireless station and the second wireless station. In a network of wireless stations, the adjacent channel interference value is used as a basis to identify pairs of wireless stations that are susceptible to adjacent channel interference.

  • Patent number: 11654531
Abstract: System for reduction of dimensional end-taper in abrasive blasted tubes has a pressurized chamber maintaining higher air pressure inside the chamber than atmospheric pressure, an air-exit port allowing gases to exit the chamber at a controlled rate, a valve restricting passage of gases from the air-exit port, a pressurized membrane through which the tube passes creating a seal, a gauge port where pressure inside the pressurized chamber is monitored and a media-exit port allowing evacuation of abrasive blast media particles after being expelled from the exit-end of the tube. The system addresses dimensional end-taper as high back pressure at the exit end of the tube reduces velocity of the gases and abrasive particles carried in it, thereby reducing erosion of the inner walls of the tube near its exit end. The system can be employed with a wide range of tube sizes and in combination with several abrasive blasting techniques.

  • Patent number: 11656638
Abstract: Described is a method that involves operating an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) to begin a flight, where the UAV relies on a navigation system to navigate to a destination. During the flight, the method involves operating a camera to capture images of the UAV's environment, and analyzing the images to detect features in the environment. The method also involves establishing a correlation between features detected in different images, and using location information from the navigation system to localize a feature detected in different images. Further, the method involves generating a flight log that includes the localized feature. Also, the method involves detecting a failure involving the navigation system, and responsively operating the camera to capture a post-failure image. The method also involves identifying one or more features in the post-failure image, and determining a location of the UAV based on a relationship between an identified feature and a localized feature.
