Abstract: Transaction-enabled methods for providing provable access to a distributed ledger with a tokenized instruction set for biological production processes are described. A method may include accessing a distributed ledger comprising an instruction set for a biological production process and tokenizing the instruction set. The method may further include interpreting an instruction set access request and, in response to the access request, providing a provable access to the instruction set. The method may further include providing commands to a production tool of the biological production process in response to the instruction set access request and recording the transaction on the distributed ledger.

Abstract: A surgical headlight system has a headlamp. The surgical headlight system can further include a headwear structure, configured to be worn on a surgeon's head during surgery, supporting the headlamp. The surgical headlight system can further include a video camera configured to record surgery. The headlamp, the headwear structure and the video camera all have an exterior surface. An antimicrobial coating is applied to the exterior surface of the headlamp, the exterior surface of the video camera, and/or the exterior surface of the headwear structure. The antimicrobial coating includes a silane quaternary ammonium ion or salt thereof. The antimicrobial coating imparts antimicrobial properties onto the exterior surface to which it is applied, such as the exterior surface of the headlamp.
Abstract: Mowing systems include a remote control unit such as a handheld unit for use with a mower, between which is provided 1- or 2-way communications. Components and features are included in the mower, the remote control unit, or both to enhance the safety, functionality, or user experience of the system's user/operator. One aspect relates to a handheld unit having a logic-implemented safety interlock for a PTO switch and/or a speed switch to prevent such switches from becoming active simultaneously with an enablement command for the PTO unit and/or drive unit of the mower. Another aspect relates to incorporating an inclinometer and/or motion sensor such as an accelerometer into the handheld unit, and controlling operation of the mower based on outputs) from such sensor(s). Another aspect relates to providing a display or other visual indicator on the handheld unit, and displaying on the visual indicator an indication of a tilt angle of the mower.
Abstract: A cooling system drains oil from low side heat exchangers to vessels and then uses compressed refrigerant to push the oil in the vessels back towards a compressor. Generally, the cooling system operates in three different modes of operation: a normal mode, an oil drain mode, and an oil return mode. During the normal mode, a primary refrigerant is cycled to cool one or more secondary refrigerants. As the primary refrigerant is cycled, oil from a compressor may mix with the primary refrigerant and become stuck in a low side heat exchanger. During the oil drain mode, the oil in the low side heat exchanger is allowed to drain into a vessel. During the oil return mode, compressed refrigerant is directed to the vessel to push the oil in the vessel back towards a compressor.

In one embodiment, a method of manufacturing a smart device includes providing a structure, placing a sensor over an outer surface of the structure, and placing conductive traces over the outer surface of the structure. The conductive traces electrically connect the sensor to electronics.
Abstract: A fluid dispensing container is provided. The container includes a container body formed from a first flexible material defining an interior cavity. The container includes a membrane formed from a second flexible material and a seal coupling the membrane to the inner surface of the container body. The membrane divides the interior cavity into a contents chamber and a dispensing chamber, and the membrane and the seal are configured to be fluid tight to maintain fluid within the contents chamber prior to rupture of the membrane. The rupture stress of the second flexible material is less than the rupture stress of the first flexible material such that, as fluid pressure within the contents chamber increases, the membrane is configured to rupture without the container body rupturing.
Abstract: Heterocyclic compounds are provided. In particular, the heteroatom of the heterocyclic compound may be nitrogen. The heterocyclic compounds may demonstrate capacity of stabilizing photoactive compounds. Topical compositions comprising these heterocyclic compounds are also provided. In particular, these topical compositions further comprise photoactive compounds. Methods for stabilizing photoactive compounds are also provided. These methods comprise mixing the photoactive compounds with photostabilizing heterocyclic compounds.
Abstract: The present technology provides a method that includes contacting a composition with a caustic solution to produce a caustic-treated composition; combining the caustic-treated composition with silica particles to produce a slurry; and removing the silica particles from the slurry to produce a treated composition; wherein the composition includes one or more of animal fats, animal oils, plant fats, plant oils, vegetable fats, vegetable oils, greases, and used cooking oil and the composition includes: at least about 10 wppm of total metals, at least about 8 wppm of phosphorus, at least about 10 wppm of chlorine, at least about 10 wppm of sulfur, at least about 20 wppm of nitrogen, at least about 5 wt. % of free fatty acids; and has an acid number from about 10 mg KOH/g to about 150 mg KOH/g, and the silica particles has a particle size from about 10 microns to about 50 microns, a BET surface area from about 200 m2/g to about 1000 m2/g.

Abstract: Systems and methods for on-board selection of data logs for training a machine learning model are provided. The system includes an autonomous vehicle having a plurality of sensors and a processor. Abstract: Examples described herein provide a computer-implemented method that includes monitoring, using a microcontroller, an electric circuit of a vehicle, the electric comprising a battery source and a load.
