  • Patent number: 11655775
Abstract: A system that controls a combustion engine stores network vectors in a memory that represent diverse and distinct spiking neural networks. The system decodes the network vectors and trains and evaluates the spiking neural networks. The system duplicates selected network vectors and crosses-over the duplicated network vectors that represent modified spiking neural networks. The system mutates the crossed-over duplicated network vectors by randomly modifying one or more portions of the crossing-over duplicated network vectors. The system meter exhaust gas into an intake manifold when an engine temperature exceeds a threshold, an engine load exceeds a threshold, an engine's rotation-per-minute rate exceeds a threshold, and a fuel flow exceeds a threshold. The system modifies fuel flow into an engine's combustion chamber on a cycle-to-cycle basis by the trained spiking neural network.

  • Patent number: 11657304
Abstract: A resource-efficient technique is described for producing and utilizing a set of trained embeddings. With respect to its training phase, the technique receives a group of sparsely-expressed training examples of high dimensionality. The technique processes the training examples using a distributed training framework of computing devices. With respect to its inference stage, the technique draws on the embeddings produced by the training framework. But in one implementation, the inference-stage processing applies a different prediction function than that used by the training framework. One implementation of interference-stage processing involves determining a distance between a query embedding and a candidate item embedding, where each such embedding is obtained or derived from the trained embeddings produced by the training framework. Another manifestation of inference-stage processing involves adjusting click counts based on identified relations among items embeddings.

  • Patent number: 11659032
Abstract: Techniques for accessing a file involve determining whether a client requests a permission for a target file, the permission allowing the client to cache data associated with the target file. The techniques further involve in response to determining that the client requests the permission, obtaining pattern information related to an access pattern in which the client accesses the target file. The techniques further involve determining availability of the permission to the client by applying the pattern information to a decision model, the decision model being trained based on training pattern information and training permission information. The techniques further involve providing, to the client, an indication on the availability. Accordingly, access conflicts can be reduced, so that the performance of the client and server can be improved.

  • Patent number: 11657019
Abstract: Techniques manage application systems in an application environment. The application environment includes a first application system, a second application system and a third application system. First snapshot information of a first group of snapshots of the first application system is obtained, the first application system being in active state. Second snapshot information of a second group of snapshots of the second application system is obtained, the second application system being in standby state. It is determined whether the second application system and the third application system have a common snapshot based on the first snapshot information and the second snapshot information. Data is synchronized to the third application system depending on whether the second application system and the third application system have a common snapshot. Overheads required during data synchronization may be reduced as far as possible, and the efficiency of data synchronization may be improved.
