Patent number: 11649408Abstract: Methods are provided to prepare a low sulfur fuel from hydrocarbon sources, such as light tight oil and high sulfur fuel oil, often less desired by conventional refiners, who split crude into a wide range of differing products and may prefer presence of wide ranges (C3 or C5 to C20 or higher) of hydrocarbons. These fuels can be produced by separating feeds into untreated and treated streams, and then recombining them. Such fuels can also be formulated by combinations of light, middle and heavy range constituents in a selected manner as claimed. Not only low in sulfur, the fuels of this invention are also low in nitrogen and essentially metals free. Fuel use applications include on-board large marine transport vessels but also on-shore for large land based combustion gas turbines, boilers, fired heaters and transport vehicles and trains.Type: GrantFiled: October 5, 2021Date of Patent: May 16, 2023Assignee: Mawetal LLCInventors: Mohammed Wohaibi, Tom F. Patent number: 11651223Abstract: Described herein are systems and methods to prune deep neural network models in reducing the overall memory and compute requirements of these models. It is demonstrated that using block pruning and group lasso combined with pruning during training, block-sparse recurrent neural networks (RNNs) may be built as accurate as dense baseline models. Two different approaches are disclosed to induce block sparsity in neural network models: pruning blocks of weights in a layer and using group lasso regularization to create blocks of weights with zeros. Using these techniques, it is demonstrated that block-sparse RNNs with high sparsity can be created with small loss in accuracy. Block-sparse RNNs eliminate overheads related to data storage and irregular memory accesses while increasing hardware efficiency compared to unstructured sparsity.Type: GrantFiled: October 4, 2018Date of Patent: May 16, 2023Assignee: Baidu USA LLCInventors: Sharan Narang, Eric Undersander, Gregory Diamos

Patent number: 11650805Abstract: Reliable feature deployment is provided. Features are evaluated for their readiness to be graduated and features that are ready to be graduated are added to a graduation list. When features are added to the graduation list, evaluation of the features is discontinued, thereby reducing the performance and runtime costs associated with deploying features. Furthermore, engineers can consult the graduation list to identify features that are ready for graduation, thereby reducing the risk of premature flight graduation. Data associated with features is analyzed to map the features to corresponding flights. In this way, when an engineer identifies a feature for graduation, the engineer is able to identify the corresponding flight (or flights) from the mapping. Even when a feature is selected for graduation, the present systems provide additional safeguards to ensure that corresponding flights are not improperly or prematurely graduated, thereby preventing a subpar customer experience.Type: GrantFiled: June 16, 2020Date of Patent: May 16, 2023Assignee: Microsoft Technology Licensing, LLCInventors: Nidhi Verma, Ankur Jauhari, Min Shao, Shobana Krishnamoorthy
