Abstract: This disclosure relates generally to video coding and particularly to intra block copy (IBC) padding mode. One method is disclosed for performing an IBC padding. The method includes receiving a coded video bitstream; extracting, from the coded video bitstream, a first syntax element, the first syntax element indicating that an IBC padding is available for a current video block; extracting, from the coded video bitstream, a second syntax element, the second syntax element indicating that the current video block is predicted using the IBC padding; extracting, from the coded video bitstream, at least one syntax element; partitioning the current video block into at least two sub-partitions based on the at least one syntax element, wherein the at least two sub-partitions comprise a padding sub-partition and an IBC sub-partition; predicting the padding sub-partition based on a predefined padding rule; and predicting the IBC sub-partition based on a predefined IBC rule.

Abstract: A system and method of reserving resources in a compute environment are disclosed. The method embodiment comprises receiving a request for resources within a computer environment, determining at least one completion time associated with at least one resource type required by the request, and reserving resources within the computer environment based on the determine of at least the completion time. A scaled wall clock time on a per resource basis may also be used to determine what resources to reserve. The system may determine whether to perform a start time analysis or a completion time analysis or a hybrid analysis in the process of generating a co-allocation map between a first type of resource and a second type of resource in preparation for reserving resources according to the generated co-allocation map.

Further, the provided electrostatic oiling system may utilize induction beams and a charge wall that allows for utilization of a smaller vacuum system. Whether a position dependent intra prediction combination (PDPC) is to be applied is determined based on the one or more intra mode predictors. In response to the determining that the PDPC is to be applied, a fusion process is performed on the one or more intra mode predictors to combine the one or more intra mode predictors into a single intra mode predictor. The PDPC is applied based on the single intra mode predictor to generate a modified predictor of the current block. The current block is reconstructed based on the modified predictor generated by the PDPC.
