  • Patent number: 11612564
Abstract: An oral adhering lozenge is provided which delivers to the mouth a component with an undesirable flavor and a component for delivering a masking flavor. The oral adhering lozenge comprises a first, adherent layer and a second layer. The first, adherent layer includes a flavor-masking component, and the second layer includes both an active component and a flavor-masking component. In another configuration, the first, adherent layer includes both an active component and a flavor-masking component. In use, the second layer of the lozenge generally finishes dissolving and/or eroding in the mouth before the first layer finishes dissolving and/or eroding. The later eroding adherent layer will continue to release the flavor-masking component after all of the active component has been released into the mouth, thereby providing increased masking of any bitter aftertaste of the active.

  • Patent number: 11614543
Abstract: A Lidar system, photonic chip and method of detecting an object. The photonic chip includes a laser and one or more photodetectors. The laser generates a transmitted light beam. The one or more photodetectors are receptive to a reflected light beam that is a reflection of the transmitted light beam from an object and generate an electrical signal as output in response to the reflected light beam signal. An amplifier is configured to amplify a signal related to the reflected light beam to amplify the output signal of the one or more photodetectors. A processor determines a parameter of the object from the amplified output signal.

  • Patent number: 11612899
Abstract: A method for isolating vibrations for centrifuge testing devices is provided. The method comprises coupling a test payload platform to a number of piezoelectric actuators and coupling the piezoelectric actuators to a reaction mass coupled to a centrifuge arm. A layer of vibration-absorbing material is sandwiched between the reaction mass and the centrifuge arm. The centrifuge arm is rotated around an axis, and the test payload platform is vibrated with the piezoelectric actuators as the centrifuge rotates, wherein the layer of vibration-absorbing material prevents vibrations from traveling down the centrifuge arm.

  • Patent number: 11615077
Abstract: The disclosure herein describes creating and managing an editable rules-based model. A model is trained to generate output values for data sources based on input feature data of the data sources. Using the trained model, results are generated that include feature-output value pairs and associated confidence values for each data source. The confidence values are aggregated for each feature-output value pair of the generated results, and rules of a rules-based model are built using the feature-output value pairs and the respective aggregated confidence values of the generated results. A user is provided access to the rules of the rules-based model via a model management interface. The rules-based model is updated based on rule change instructions received from the user via the model management interface.

  • Patent number: 11616972
Abstract: In a method for video decoding in a decoder, a first motion vector and a second motion vector for a first block in a current picture are received. The first motion vector is indicative of a first reference block in a first picture, and the second motion vector is indicative of a second reference block in a second picture. A bilateral template is generated based on a weighted combination of the first reference block and the second reference block. A refined first motion vector and a refined second motion vector are determined based on the bilateral template, reference blocks in the first picture and reference blocks in the second picture respectively. An initial motion vector of a second block that is ceded after the first block is determined according to at least one of the first motion vector and the second motion vector for the first block.

  • Patent number: 11613652
Abstract: Compositions are disclosed which include between about 0.05 to about 5 or less wt. % of at least one acrylate monomer based on the total weight of the composition. The acrylate monomer reduces the peak cure temperature, thereby accelerating the rate of cure, without sacrificing completeness of the cure or the release performance of the cured product. The addition of the acrylate monomer also enables a reduction in the amount of costly platinum catalyst required to effectively cure a composition. In addition to the acrylate monomer, the compositions also include a silicone base polymer, a crosslinking agent, and platinum catalyst. The cured compositions exhibit properties useful for incorporation into release liners, adhesive articles, medical products and gaskets.
