Abstract: A method for training an autonomous vehicle to reach a target location. The method includes detecting the state of an autonomous vehicle in a simulated environment, and using a neural network to navigate the vehicle from an initial location to a target destination. During the training phase, a second neural network may reward the first neural network for a desired action taken by the autonomous vehicle, and may penalize the first neural network for an undesired action taken by the autonomous vehicle. A corresponding system and computer program product are also disclosed and claimed herein.

Abstract: A device for preventing unwanted opening of a locked enclosure includes a lock bolt moveable between a locked position and an unlocked position. A face gear is meshable with and rotatable by the worm gear between locking and unlocking positions when the worm gear is driven in the first and second directions, respectively. A blocker member is rotatable between first and second positions. A biasing member is operatively coupled to the face gear and the blocker member to bias the blocker member in a biasing direction. A sliding member selectively disengages the blocker member to allow the blocker member to rotate in the biasing direction. A lever arm is operatively coupled to the sliding member such that the lever arm is in the disengaged and engageable positions when the sliding member engages the blocker member in the first and second positions, respectively.

Abstract: A system and method of pausing a game in a cloud gaming system including playing a game on a first game computer included in the cloud gaming system, pausing the game at a selected point in the game and capturing game state data for the paused game. The paused game can be resumed by retrieving the game state data and applying the game state data to a selected game computer and resuming the game at the selected point in the game on the selected game computer.

Abstract: A method for database syncing is provided. The method includes receiving database change indicators indicating changes to a database. For each database change indicator, the method also includes determining whether the respective change to the database corresponds to a single change to a single version of the database, one of multiple changes to a common version of the database, or one of multiple changes to different versions of the database. The method further includes generating a change log compaction data structure comprising entries. Each entry includes an exact entry defining a corresponding single change to a corresponding single version of the database, a range entry defining corresponding multiple changes to a corresponding common version of the database, or an interval entry defining corresponding multiple changes to corresponding different versions of the database.

Abstract: A garment may be summarized as including: at least one non-toxic elastomeric sheet, at least one non-toxic textile sheet, and stitches that physically couple the non-toxic elastomeric sheet(s) with the non-toxic textile sheet(s). The garment may exclude all metals and toxic materials. The garment may be a foundation garment, for example a brassiere. Abstract: A cradle apparatus and method for transporting and/or deploying a coil of pipe supported around a reel are disclosed. The cradle apparatus can include a first arm member and a second arm member each having a male segment and a female segment capable of telescopic movement. A first set of pipe reel engagement spools and a second set of pipe reel engagement spools can rotate to raise/lift a first flange and a second flange of the reel thereonto when the pipe reel is positioned between the first arm member and the second arm member and the proximal end and the distal end of the first arm member and the second arm member are brought closer together due to telescopic movement of the male and female segments.

Abstract: An adapter for releasably attaching a syringe to an injector. The adapter comprises a mounting mechanism positioned at a rear end of the adapter to mount the adapter in a desired position relative to a front wall of the injector; and a syringe carrier section adapted to seat at least a portion of the syringe. The syringe carrier section defines a first opening on a top thereof to allow placement of the syringe therein from the top and a second opening in a rear section thereof to allow the drive member of the injector to communicate forward force to the plunger. A cover portion extends over a rearward end of the first opening and has a first end configured to abut the flange of the syringe when the syringe is positioned within the syringe carrier section.

Abstract: An electric machine rotor includes a plurality of plates stacked along an axis of rotation. Each of the plates defines a plurality of cavities. Each cavity defines a pole arc angle, has at least one permanent magnet pocket, and has magnetic field guide chambers extending outward from the at least one permanent magnet pocket. Offset angles between the magnetic field guide chambers and the at least one permanent magnet pockets vary between at least two of the cavities of the plurality of cavities within each plate such that each plate defines at least two different pole arc angles. The plates are stacked such that the at least one permanent magnet pockets between adjacent plates are axially aligned and such that the magnetic field guide chambers between adjacent plates are axially offset.

Abstract: The invention comprises a mobile device with two circuit boards and certain shared resources, in order to provide the security of physically separate devices, yet do so in a single device using shared resources that do not affect security. Specifically, the invention has two boards connected via input/output switch, each having its own System-on-a-Chip (SoC), Memory (RAM), Storage and Radio Module (SIM(s)/Bluetooth/Wi-Fi), and may include one or more SIM cards. Touchscreen, battery, physical buttons and other peripherals are shared between boards. Each shared peripheral hardware module will be used by a single board only (the active in-use board being the “Foreground Board”); another board (the inactive “Background Board”) uses an emulated version of the same hardware module. At any moment, a user can switch between Boards and the Background Board becomes the active Foreground Board and vice versa.

A social networking application may display a third party initiated current status request notification to a content contributor user at a time not determined by the content contributor user, such as at a time determined by the social networking application or another user. The content contributor user can respond by submitting a third party initiated current status post, qualified based on at least the post having been created in response to the third party initiated current status request notification, and the post containing photo or video content recorded after the third party initiated current status request notification. The third party initiated current status post is then displayed to one or more other users in a manner that distinguished the third party initiated current status post from other content posts.

Abstract: Some embodiments of the invention provide systems and methods for securing configuration information for cloud-based services. Some embodiments include a system comprising a data store and data sets including plant process information and configuration information. A memory device stores computer-executable instructions executable by a processor coupled to the cloud service. When executed, the instructions receive configuration information, store it in a data file, apply a generated certificate to the file, and deploy the resulting protected configuration data file to the cloud-based service. In addition, the protected configuration data file is made available by obtaining the file from the cloud-based service.

Abstract: Quantum memory management is becoming a pressing problem, especially given the recent research effort to develop new and more complex quantum algorithms. The disclosed technology concerns various example memory management schemes for quantum computing. For example, certain embodiments concern methods for managing quantum memory based on reversible pebbling games constructed from SAT-encodings.

Abstract: A method, computer program product, and computing system for receiving a flush request for a metadata page stored in a storage array of a multi-node storage system. The flush request may be queued on a flush request lock queue on at least one node of the multi-node storage system. One or more flush requests may be processed, via multiple nodes of the multi-node storage system, on the metadata page based upon, at least in part, the flush request lock queue.

Abstract: A cloud computing system can be configured to generate data models. A model optimizer of the cloud computing system can provision computing resources of the cloud computing system with a data model. A dataset generator of the cloud computing system can generate a synthetic dataset for training the data model. The computing resources can train the data model using the synthetic dataset. The model optimizer can store the data model and metadata of the data model in a model storage. The cloud computing system can receive production data from a data source by a production instance of the cloud computing system using a common file system. The production data can be processed using the data model by the production instance. The computing resources, the dataset generator, and the model optimizer can be hosted by separate virtual computing instances of the cloud computing system.

Abstract: Methods are disclosed for the generation and editing of layer delineations within three-dimensional tomography scans. Cross sections of a subject are generated and presented to an operator, who has the ability to edit layer delineations within the cross section, or determine parameters used to generate new cross sections. By guiding an operator through a set of displayed cross sections, the methods can allow for a more rapid, efficient, and error-free segmentation of the subject. The cross sections can be nonplanar in shape or planar and non-axis-aligned. The cross sections can be restricted to exclude one or more user-defined regions of the subject, or to include only one or more user-defined regions of the subject. The cross sections can be localized to a point-of-interest. Iterative implementations of the methods can be used to arrive at a segmentation deemed satisfactory by the user.

Abstract: Among other things, requests are received from voice assistant devices expressed in accordance with different corresponding protocols of one or more voice assistant frameworks. Each of the requests represents a voiced input by a user to the corresponding voice assistant device. The received requests are re-expressed in accordance with a common request protocol. Based on the received requests, responses to the requests are expressed in accordance with a common response protocol. Each of the responses is re-expressed according to a protocol of the framework with respect to which the corresponding request was expressed. The responses are sent to the voice assistant devices for presentation to the users.

Abstract: According to examples, an apparatus may include a processor and a memory on which are stored machine-readable instructions that when executed by the processor, may cause the processor to receive information regarding a property of a data resource and to calculate a score associated with the data resource based on the received information regarding the property. The score may correspond to a probability that the data resource is to have a first type of accessibility. The processor may compare the calculated score to a predefined threshold value and, based on the comparison of the calculated score to the predefined threshold value, may output an indication that accessibility to the data resource should be set to the first type of accessibility or a second type of accessibility.
