Determining problem dependencies in application dependency discovery, reporting, and management tool
Patent number: 11614943Abstract: Techniques for monitoring operating statuses of an application and its dependencies are provided. A monitoring application may collect and report the operating status of the monitored application and each dependency. Through use of existing monitoring interfaces, the monitoring application can collect operating status without requiring modification of the underlying monitored application or dependencies. The monitoring application may determine a problem service that is a root cause of an unhealthy state of the monitored application. Dependency analyzer and discovery crawler techniques may automatically configure and update the monitoring application. Machine learning techniques may be used to determine patterns of performance based on system state information associated with performance events and provide health reports relative to a baseline status of the monitored application. Also provided are techniques for testing a response of the monitored application through modifications to API calls.Type: GrantFiled: June 6, 2022Date of Patent: March 28, 2023Assignee: Capital One Services, LLCInventors: Muralidharan Balasubramanian, Eric K. Patent number: 11613711Abstract: For the shipping industry, these fuels provide solutions to long outstanding technical problems that heretofore hindered supply of low sulfur marine fuels in quantities needed to meet worldwide sulfur reduction goals. When ships on the open seas burn cheap low grade heavy bunker oils high in sulfur, nitrogen and metals, the SOx, NOx, and metal oxides go to the environment. This invention converts essentially all of each barrel of crude feed to a single ultraclean fuel versus conventional refining where crude feed is cut into many pieces, and each piece is sent down a separate market path meeting various different product specifications. When in port, ships can generate and sell electricity to land based electrical grids to offset fuel cost in an environment-friendly manner.Type: GrantFiled: May 31, 2022Date of Patent: March 28, 2023Assignee: Mawetal LLCInventors: Mohammed Wohaibi, Tom F. Patent number: 11615441Abstract: A system that analyzes a user's communications to select a promotion that is presented to the user. The analysis may occur in two stages: a first stage analyzes a single communication from a user to determine whether the user is a potential target for a promotion; for potential targets, a second stage analyzes a history of communications from the user to generate a user profile. The system may then select a promotion based on the profile. The profile may include a set of profile tags that are considerably more detailed and granular than traditional demographic data; tags may for example indicate user affiliations with groups or ideas (such as religions or political parties), or user life cycle stages. Using these rich, detailed user profile tags, the system may achieve promotion response rates far above those from traditional advertising, which relies on cookies or simple demographic categories.Type: GrantFiled: December 10, 2019Date of Patent: March 28, 2023Assignee: Kaptivating Technology LLCInventors: Michael Palmer, Steven Tulk, Thomas Galido

Patent number: 11613959Abstract: A wiper plug is used in an operation to cement tubing in a borehole. The wiper plug is pumped down the tubing to separate an advancing fluid from a following fluid of the cementing operation, and an internal pressure chamber is maintained in a throughbore of the wiper plug between uphole and downhole barriers. The wiper plug eventually lands in the tubing, and the uphole barrier is removed by applying a first predetermined pressure against the uphole barrier. Removal of the uphole barrier is facilitated by the known and controlled internal pressure of the plug's chamber. The downhole barrier is also removed so that flow is permitted through the throughbore of the wiper plug. To perform a tubing pressure test, the downhole barrier can be removed due to pressure, and the chamber may have a temporary valve to hold applied pressure to a test level. Alternatively, the downhole barrier can hold the applied pressure. The temporary valve and the downhole barrier can then be self-removing in response to a stimulus.Type: GrantFiled: November 19, 2021Date of Patent: March 28, 2023Assignee: Weatherford Technology Holdings, LLCInventor: Nicholas W.
