Patent number: 11615187Abstract: A TPM is implemented in an SOC for thwarting PIN state replay attacks. Programmable fuses are used as a counter and an on-die RAM stores a blown-fuse count and a TPM state that includes a PIN-failure count and a fuse count. TPM initialization includes incrementing the TPM state PIN-failure count if the blown-fuse count is greater than the TPM state fuse count. Once a PIN is received, if the TPM state PIN-failure count satisfies a PIN failure policy and the PIN is correct, the TPM state PIN-failure count is cleared, and if the PIN is incorrect, a fuse is blown and the blown-fuse count is incremented. If the fuse blow fails, TPM activity is halted. If the fuse blow succeeds, the TPM state PIN-failure count is incremented and the TPM state fuse count is set equal to the blown-fuse count. The TPM state is saved to off-die non-volatile memory.Type: GrantFiled: March 31, 2021Date of Patent: March 28, 2023Assignee: Microsoft Technology Licensing, LLCInventors: Ling Tony Chen, Felix Domke, Ankur Choudhary, Bradley Joseph Litterell

Patent number: 11613277Abstract: Neighborhood monitoring is performed by configuring a cluster server within a public network to maintain a cluster directory identifying cluster members including a neighborhood of smart listening devices and user vehicles. The neighborhood includes a cluster of dwellings, and the user vehicles includes an autonomous vehicle. The surroundings of the smart listening devices and the user vehicles are monitored using sensors in the smart listening devices and the user vehicles. When an alerting event is detected with one of the sensors, a corresponding one of the smart listening devices and the user vehicles that detected the alerting event initiates a message to another cluster member based on the cluster directory. A responsive action is executed in response to the detected alerting event which includes commanding the at least one autonomous vehicle to autonomously relocate to a designated location.Type: GrantFiled: November 22, 2021Date of Patent: March 28, 2023Assignee: FORD GLOBAL TECHNOLOGIES, LLCInventors: Robert B. Patent number: 11616651Abstract: According to one embodiment, a system receives, at a host channel manager (HCM) of a host system, a request from an application to establish a secure channel with a data processing (DP) accelerator, where the DP accelerator is coupled to the host system over a bus. In response to the request, the system generates a first session key for the secure channel based on a first private key of a first key pair associated with the HCM and a second public key of a second key pair associated with the DP accelerator. In response to a first data associated with the application to be sent to the DP accelerator, the system encrypts the first data using the first session key. The system then transmits the encrypted first data to the DP accelerator via the secure channel over the bus.Type: GrantFiled: January 4, 2019Date of Patent: March 28, 2023Assignees: BAIDU USA LLC, BAIDU.COM TIMES TECHNOLOGY (BEIJING) CO., LTD., KUNLUNXIN TECHNOLOGY (BEIJING) COMPANY LIMITEDInventors: Yong Liu, Yueqiang Cheng, Jian Ouyang, Tao Wei

Patent number: 11615355Abstract: Aspects of the technology relate to providing service area maps for an autonomous vehicle transportation service having a fleet of vehicles. For instance, each vehicle of the fleet is associated with a polygon corresponding to a service area for that vehicle. A first location may be received from a client computing device, and a set of vehicles of the fleet of vehicles that are currently available to provide transportation services may be identified based on the first location. The polygons associated with each of the set of vehicles may be used to determine a first polygon having a geographic area. A first portion of map information corresponding to the geographic area of the first polygon may be identified, and the first portion may be provided to the client computing device for display to a user such that the portion represents a currently available service area for the user.Type: GrantFiled: November 27, 2019Date of Patent: March 28, 2023Assignee: Waymo LLCInventors: David Margines, Tacettin Guney, Saksiri Tanphaichitr, Jeffrey Min, Laurens Feenstra, Peter Pawlowski, Dirk Haehnel

Patent number: 11615517Abstract: A device includes a digital camera positioned underneath a display of the device that captures images through the display. When capturing images using the digital camera, light emitted by the display can get into the digital camera, interfering with or corrupting the captured images. An enhanced output image is generated from a captured image that mitigates the interference from the display. The enhanced output image is generated, for example, by capturing a different calibration image for each pixel type (e.g., Red, Green, and Blue) included in the display. When an image is subsequently captured, an amount of color emitted by the pixels on the display for the currently displayed image is determined and one or more subtraction images are generated and subtracted from the captured image to mitigate the interference from the display.Type: GrantFiled: February 1, 2021Date of Patent: March 28, 2023Assignee: Motorola Mobility LLCInventors: John Christopher Pincenti, Jie Yang, Thomas Yates Merrell

Patent number: 11615621Abstract: Metadata for one or more highlights of a video stream may be extracted from one or more card images embedded in the video stream. The highlights may be segments of the video stream, such as a broadcast of a sporting event, that are of particular interest. According to one method, video frames of the video stream are stored. One or more information cards embedded in a decoded video frame may be detected by analyzing one or more predetermined video frame regions. Image segmentation, edge detection, and/or closed contour identification may then be performed on identified video frame region(s). Further processing may include obtaining a minimum rectangular perimeter area enclosing all remaining segments, which may then be further processed to determine precise boundaries of information card(s). The card image(s) may be analyzed to obtain metadata, which may be stored in association with at least one of the video frames.Type: GrantFiled: October 4, 2021Date of Patent: March 28, 2023Assignee: STATS LLCInventors: Mihailo Stojancic, Warren Packard, Dennis Kanygin

Patent number: 11614771Abstract: Method and apparatus for synchronizing and locking clocks identifies entangled pairs of photons by comparing a first and second list of measured state values of single photons, wherein the first list is compiled by photon arrival times measured using a first clock and the second list is compiled by photon arrival times measured using a second clock. Entangled pairs of photons are identified by a match of the measured state values of single photons in their respective lists. Elapsed times of the first and second clocks are determined by taking the difference between arrival times of respective identified entangled pairs of photons measured using their respective clocks. A rate of one of the first and second clocks is changed based on a difference between the elapsed times, thereby synchronizing the first and second clocks. Clocks are locked by repeating.Type: GrantFiled: September 2, 2021Date of Patent: March 28, 2023Assignee: Qubit Moving and Storage, LLCInventors: Gary Vacon, Kristin A. Rauschenbach
