Patent number: 11615576Abstract: This disclosure describes efficient communication of surface texture data between system on a chip (SOC) integrated circuits. An example system includes a first integrated circuit and a second integrated circuit communicatively coupled to the first integrated circuit by a video communication interface. The first integrated generates a superframe in a video frame of the video communication interface for transmission to the second integrated circuit. The superframe includes multiple subframe payloads that carry surface texture data to be updated in the frame and corresponding subframe headers that include parameters of the subframe payloads. The second integrated circuit includes a direct access memory (DMA) controller. The DMA upon receipt of the superframe, writes the surface texture data within each of the subframe payloads directly to an allocated location in memory based on the parameters included in the corresponding one of the subframe headers.Type: GrantFiled: October 8, 2021Date of Patent: March 28, 2023Assignee: META PLATFORMS TECHNOLOGIES, LLCInventors: Richard Lawrence Greene, Steve John Clohset, Benjamin Charles Constable

Patent number: 11615839Abstract: In a three dimensional non-volatile memory structure that etches part of the top of the memory structure (including a portion of the select gates), data is stored on a majority (or all but one) of the word lines as x bits per memory cell while data is stored on a top edge word line that is closest to the etching with variable bits per memory cell. In one example embodiment that implements vertical NAND strings, memory cells connected to the top edge word line and that are on NAND strings adjacent the etching store data as n bits per memory cell and memory cells connected to the top edge word line and that are on NAND strings not adjacent the etching store data as m bits per memory cell, where m>x>n.Type: GrantFiled: July 6, 2021Date of Patent: March 28, 2023Assignee: SANDISK TECHNOLOGIES LLCInventor: Xiang Yang

Patent number: 11615187Abstract: A TPM is implemented in an SOC for thwarting PIN state replay attacks. Programmable fuses are used as a counter and an on-die RAM stores a blown-fuse count and a TPM state that includes a PIN-failure count and a fuse count. TPM initialization includes incrementing the TPM state PIN-failure count if the blown-fuse count is greater than the TPM state fuse count. Once a PIN is received, if the TPM state PIN-failure count satisfies a PIN failure policy and the PIN is correct, the TPM state PIN-failure count is cleared, and if the PIN is incorrect, a fuse is blown and the blown-fuse count is incremented. If the fuse blow fails, TPM activity is halted. If the fuse blow succeeds, the TPM state PIN-failure count is incremented and the TPM state fuse count is set equal to the blown-fuse count. The TPM state is saved to off-die non-volatile memory.Type: GrantFiled: March 31, 2021Date of Patent: March 28, 2023Assignee: Microsoft Technology Licensing, LLCInventors: Ling Tony Chen, Felix Domke, Ankur Choudhary, Bradley Joseph Litterell

Patent number: 11616679Abstract: In current practice, faulted messages are typically discarded and a retransmission is requested. Forward error-correction codes (FEC) in 5G and 6G are bulky, resource-expensive, and often unable to resolve the problem. Disclosed are systems and methods for determining which specific message elements are faulted, so that just the faulted portion can be retransmitted, instead of the entire message. For example, the amplitudes of the I and Q branches, of each message element, can be compared to the calibrated amplitude levels of the modulation scheme. Any message element with a large amplitude deviation is suspect. Other factors, such as the SNR, can also be considered in evaluating the validity of each message element. Usually, all of the faulted message elements occupy just a portion of the message. Compact formats are disclosed specifying which portion of the message is to be retransmitted, thereby saving time, power, and background generation.Type: GrantFiled: September 1, 2022Date of Patent: March 28, 2023Assignee: ULTRALOGIC 6G, LLCInventors: David E. Patent number: 11616651Abstract: According to one embodiment, a system receives, at a host channel manager (HCM) of a host system, a request from an application to establish a secure channel with a data processing (DP) accelerator, where the DP accelerator is coupled to the host system over a bus. In response to the request, the system generates a first session key for the secure channel based on a first private key of a first key pair associated with the HCM and a second public key of a second key pair associated with the DP accelerator. In response to a first data associated with the application to be sent to the DP accelerator, the system encrypts the first data using the first session key. The system then transmits the encrypted first data to the DP accelerator via the secure channel over the bus.Type: GrantFiled: January 4, 2019Date of Patent: March 28, 2023Assignees: BAIDU USA LLC, BAIDU.COM TIMES TECHNOLOGY (BEIJING) CO., LTD., KUNLUNXIN TECHNOLOGY (BEIJING) COMPANY LIMITEDInventors: Yong Liu, Yueqiang Cheng, Jian Ouyang, Tao Wei
