  • Patent number: 11616751
Abstract: Systems and methods for posting content via a social networking application. A social networking application may display a third party initiated current status request notification to a content contributor user at a time not determined by the content contributor user, such as at a time determined by the social networking application or another user. The content contributor user can respond by submitting a third party initiated current status post, qualified based on at least the post having been created in response to the third party initiated current status request notification, and the post containing photo or video content recorded after the third party initiated current status request notification. The third party initiated current status post is then displayed to one or more other users in a manner that distinguished the third party initiated current status post from other content posts.

  • Patent number: 11612881
Abstract: A process for preparing a silver-containing catalyst for the oxidation of ethylene to ethylene oxide (EO) including the steps of: providing a support having pores; providing a silver-containing impregnation solution; adding an amount of surfactant to the impregnation solution; contacting the support with the surfactant-containing impregnation solution; and removing at least a portion of the impregnation solution prior to fixing the silver upon the carrier in a manner which preferentially removes impregnation solution not contained in the pores. The use of the surfactant results in improved drainage of the silver impregnation solution from the carrier exteriors during the catalyst synthesis. As a result, the amount of silver-containing impregnation solution necessary for the synthesis of the EO catalyst was reduced by up to 15% without reducing the catalyst performance.

  • Patent number: 11614854
Abstract: Examples provide an accessibility manager enabling a persistent floating secondary stage for presentation of user-configurable content during a video conferencing meeting. A primary stage is provided during each video conferencing meeting. The primary stage includes a roster of meeting attendees and an area for displaying shared content. The user creates configurable settings which are used at every meeting to generate a customized secondary stage. The secondary stage is an overlay which persists on the user interface even if the primary stage is minimized as the user multi-tasks during the meeting. The secondary stage displays video feed for one or more selected meeting attendees, such as an interpreter. When an interpreter speaks on behalf of the user, the user receives the active speaker attribution. The configurable settings permit the user to control the secondary stage video feed quality, sizing, aspect ratio, display location, captioning, role designation and active speaker designation.

  • Patent number: 11613253
Abstract: In one embodiment, a method for monitoring a localization function in an autonomous driving vehicle (ADV) can use known static objects as ground truths to determine when the localization function encounter errors. The known static objects are marked on a high definition (HD) map for the real-time driving environment. When the ADV detects one or more known static objects, the ADV can use sensor data, locations of the one or more static objects, and one or more error tolerance parameters to create a localization error tolerance area surrounding a current location of the ADV. The ADV can project the tolerance area on the HD map, performs a localization operation to generate an expected location of the ADV on the HD map, and determines whether the generated location falls within the projected tolerance area.

  • Patent number: 11615791
Abstract: Among other things, requests are received from voice assistant devices expressed in accordance with different corresponding protocols of one or more voice assistant frameworks. Each of the requests represents a voiced input by a user to the corresponding voice assistant device. The received requests are re-expressed in accordance with a common request protocol. Based on the received requests, responses to the requests are expressed in accordance with a common response protocol. Each of the responses is re-expressed according to a protocol of the framework with respect to which the corresponding request was expressed. The responses are sent to the voice assistant devices for presentation to the users.

  • Patent number: 11616284
Abstract: An electromagnetic tool using slotted dipole antennas is presented. The dipoles may be placed in slots on a drill collar. A receiver or transmitter antenna consists of one or more slots. A dipole consists of a ferrite rod with electric wires placed above and below the ferrite. Wires may be connected such that wire current forms a loop around the ferrite rod. When a group of slots are used for an antenna, wire holes are constructed between slots. Effectively a single wire may be used to go above all ferrite rods in the group and then turn to go below all the rods. Two wire segments are in a wire hole connecting two adjacent slots. Currents in the two segments are the same in magnitudes and flow in opposite directions. There is no net current in wires in a wire hole.

Abstract: Non-transform blocks of video content may be coded by selectively changing a scanning order. in some implementations, an encoder or decoder may perform a scanning process on a block according to a scanning order. When the block has not been transformed, the encoder or decoder may selectively change the scanning order to a different order. For example, if the block is associated with a particular type of prediction, the scanning order may be changed to a different order.
