  • Patent number: 11526292
Abstract: Data may be replicated from a host storage system to a target storage system. It may be determined to replicate a first logical storage element on the source storage system to a second logical storage element on the target storage system, wherein the first logical storage element defines a first data portion having a first value. It may be determined that a third logical storage element on the target storage system defines a second data portion having the first value. The first logical storage element may be replicated to the second logical storage element by establishing a deduplication relationship between the second logical storage element and the third logical storage element on the target storage system without transmitting the first data portion from the source storage system to the target storage system.

  • Patent number: 11528236
Abstract: Techniques are provided for user-based data tiering. In an example, a computer maintains a first-in-first-out queue that logs a finite set of users that have most-recently modified a file. This queue can be maintained in an extended attribute of an inode that corresponds to a file. A computer can also maintain a policy that defines how to perform storage tiering on a file based on which users have accessed the file. When a tiering operation is performed, the files specified by a corresponding tiering policy can be evaluated for which users have recently accessed them. When a user specified by the tiering policy has recently modified a file, the file can be placed in tiering queue for tiering.

  • Patent number: 11523914
Abstract: A prosthesis for implantation in a de-nucleated intervertebral disc includes a fiber ring-like layer which encloses a polymeric layer to create an annular space. The annular space is inflatable with an in-situ curable liquid polymer and forms an interior cavity. The annular space may be expanded uniformly or differentially to be tailored to the needs of a particular vertebral segment and to achieve optimal disc space width and angle, thereby stabilizing the segment while preserving normal motion of the vertebral segment. The interior cavity provides a void that allows inward deformation of the implant during weight bearing activities and bending. The prosthesis can be elastically deformed through axial elongation to a reduced profile to load into a delivery cannula using pulling techniques.

  • Patent number: 11527043
Abstract: Providing selectable virtual reality (VR) viewpoints within a VR environment is disclosed. In one embodiment, a network computing device provides downloadable VR content that defines a VR environment comprising a plurality of viewpoints. The plurality of viewpoints may include, as non-limiting examples, one or more viewpoints corresponding to one or more VR participants within the VR environment, and/or one or more predefined non-participant viewpoints. The network computing device receives a viewpoint selection indication from a client computing device of a spectator of the VR environment, wherein the viewpoint selection indication corresponds to a selected viewpoint of the plurality of viewpoints. The network computing device then transmits, to the client computing device, a pose data stream comprising pose data corresponding to the selected viewpoint. The client computing device may then display the VR environment based on the VR content and the pose data corresponding to the selected viewpoint.
