Abstract: The invention relates to the design of rationally engineered Carrier Proteins (reCaPs) geared towards producing Multifunctional Chimeric recombinant Fusion Proteins (MCFPs) useful as vaccine candidates. The key components of the MCFPs are (i) genetically engineered carrier proteins; (ii) polypeptide antigens; (iii) linker peptides, optionally fused to heterologous T-cell epitopes; (iv) Dual Function Peptides (DFP) which can act as a purification aids as well having the non-covalent affinity to bind to an adjuvant. The present invention also relates to recombinantly expressed Self-Assembling Adjuvanted Nanoparticles (SAANPs), comprising reCaPs fused with various polypeptide and protein antigens, useful as vaccine candidates. The present invention also provides novel ‘integrated Multiple Conjugate Antigen displayed Adjuvanted Systems’ [iMCAAS], comprising rationally engineered Carrier Proteins, based on ‘Self Assembling Adjuvanted Nanoparticles’ [SAANPs].

Abstract: A pressure relief structure for an electrified vehicle battery pack includes a valve body having a first end and a second end, and a through hole extending between the first end and the second end, a breathable membrane extending across the first end of the valve body, and a valve cover covering the breathable membrane and having fluid passages that couple the through hole to atmosphere. The valve cover include a protrusion configured to engage a first tool, and a cavity in the protrusion configured to engage a second tool. A flange structure disposed between the first end and the second end extends circumferentially and forms a secondary fluid flow path.

Abstract: A breath sampling tube has a pair of opposing holes at opposite ends and a bore extending therethrough to connect the pair of opposing holes with one another forming a passageway. A collector has a chamber therein and an opening for receiving one of the opposite ends of the breath sampling tube, so that the chamber is in fluid communication with the passageway. A sample collection solution is in in the chamber. The sample collection solution includes an indicator for indicating a quantity of breathed air that has been collected and a viral transport medium.

Abstract: An alert management and real-time remediation system is disclosed. The system may receive, from an institution, an electronic file that includes an exception information (EI) data structure comprising exception information representing events and customers associated with the events, and a contact information data structure comprising an electronic address for each customer. The system may automatically parse the EI into events associated with the customers, and for each customer, send an event notification message (EN) to the electronic address of the customer, wherein the event notification message includes a link to an authentication interface of the institution associated with the customer.

Abstract: An electric hair-cutting device that has a housing. Further, the electric hair-cutting device has a hair-cutting module coupled to a first end of the housing, the hair-cutting module comprising blades and configured for cutting hair. Also, the electric hair-cutting device has a plurality of pinholes on a top of the housing and adjacent the hair-cutting module for delivering air to the hair-cutting module to cool the hair-cutting blades and a cooling module contained in the housing, the cooling module that has a fan and receives air through a plurality of pinholes on a bottom end of the housing and delivers the air to the plurality of pinholes adjacent the hair-cutting module thereby cooling the hair-cutting module.

Abstract: Disclosed are methods, systems, and non-transitory computer-readable medium for transition-coded media, measuring engagement of transition-coded media, and distribution of components of transition-coded media. For instance, the method may include: obtaining a media file; determining whether the media file includes transition-coded media; in response to determining the media file includes the transition-coded media, setting up a dynamic media environment; detecting whether a user is interacting with the transition-coded media; and in response to detecting the user is interacting with the transition-coded media, executing the transition-coded media with the dynamic media environment.

Abstract: In certain embodiments, a service provider provides both wireless communication services to a wireless device and access to a network server associated with an application running on the wireless device. Network infrastructure of the service provider stores registration information about the wireless device in a provider database, receives from the wireless device an initial request for the application to access the network infrastructure, wherein the initial request includes device ID information identifying the wireless device but not explicit authentication information about a user of the wireless device, uses the device information to access the provider database to determine that the wireless device is registered, and transmits to the wireless device permission for the application to access the network infrastructure, thereby enabling the user to access the network infrastructure without having to provide explicit authentication information such as username and password.

Abstract: Embodiments of golf club heads, golf clubs, and methods to manufacture golf club heads and golf clubs are described herein. In one example, a golf club head includes a body portion having an interior cavity, a back opening portion, a back cover portion covering the back opening portion, a filler material at least partially filling the interior cavity, a first mass portion coupled to the back cover portion, and a second mass portion coupled to the back cover portion. The body portion may be made from a first material having a first density, and the back cover portion may be made from second material having a second density different from the first density. The diameter of the second mass portion may be greater than a diameter of the first mass portion. Other examples and embodiments may be described and claimed.

A distance between an interior surface of the intermediate portion and an adjacent surface of each of the seat and the lower leg support may vary based on lower leg support position.

Abstract: A storage assembly for a vehicle includes a console housing including a storage compartment and an access opening to the storage compartment. The storage assembly includes a tambour door assembly having a tambour door panel configured to move between a first position to close the access opening and a second position to open the access opening. The storage assembly also has a tray assembly including the tambour door panel. The tray assembly is configured to move between a retracted position and an extended position relative to the console housing.

Abstract: A disk-pack turbine for use, for example, in systems and methods in at least one embodiment for separating fluids including liquids and gases into subcomponents by passing the fluid through a vortex chamber into an expansion chamber and then through at least a portion of a waveform pattern present between at least two rotors and/or disks. The rotors and/or disks having waveform patterns on at least one side. In at least one embodiment, the waveform patterns include a plurality of hyperbolic waveforms axially aligned around a horizontal center of the system.

Abstract: An apparatus and methods are provided for a suppressor to be coupled with a muzzle end of a barrel of a firearm to reduce muzzle blast and muzzle flash. The suppressor comprises a housing having a proximal end and a distal end. A front portion within the housing comprises a series of cylindrical gas expansion chambers for attenuating the temperature and energy of propellant gases accompanying a projectile fired from the firearm. An annular gas expansion chamber surrounds the cylindrical gas expansion chambers and directs a portion of the propellant gases from a rear portion of the suppressor to peripheral vents disposed at the distal end. Lateral chambers within the rear portion deflect and rebound a portion of the propellant gases before passing them into the annular gas expansion chamber. Ledges within the annular gas expansion chamber direct the propellant gases distally through suppressor toward the peripheral vents.

Abstract: One illustrative integrated electromagnetic-acoustic sensor includes: a ground plane; a patch antenna above the ground plane to send or receive an electromagnetic (EM) signal having an EM signal frequency; and an array of capacitive micromachined acoustic transducers formed by cavities between the patch antenna and a base electrode to send or receive an acoustic signal having an acoustic signal frequency. One illustrative sensing method includes: driving or sensing a EM signal between a ground plane and a patch antenna; and driving or sensing an acoustic signal between the patch antenna and a base electrode, the base electrode and the patch antenna having an array of capacitive micromachined acoustic transducer cavities therebetween.

Abstract: A conductive trace interconnect tape for use with a printed circuit board or a flexible circuit substrate comprises a top insulating layer, an electrically conductive layer, and a bottom insulating layer. The top insulating layer is formed from electrically insulating material and is configured to provide electrical isolation from electrically conductive objects that are positioned on top of the conductive trace interconnect tape. The electrically conductive layer is positioned underneath the top insulating layer. The electrically conductive layer is formed from electrically conductive material and includes electrical interconnect traces, electrical component pads, or electrically conductive planar portions. The bottom insulating layer is positioned underneath the electrically conductive layer.

Abstract: A security platform of a data network is provided that includes security services for computing devices in communication with the data network. The security platform may apply a security policy to the computing devices when accessing the Internet via a home network (or other customer network) and when accessing the Internet via a public or third party network. To provide security services to computing devices via the home network, the security platform may communicate with a security agent application executed on the router (or other gateway device) of the home network. In addition, each of the devices identified by the security profile for the home network may be instructed or otherwise be provided a security agent application for execution on the computing devices. The security agent application may communicate with the security platform when the computing device connects to the Internet over a third party or public access point.
