    Abstract: A method includes receiving a speech recognition result, and using a confidence estimation module (CEM), for each sub-word unit in a sequence of hypothesized sub-word units for the speech recognition result: obtaining a respective confidence embedding that represents a set of confidence features; generating, using a first attention mechanism, a confidence feature vector; generating, using a second attention mechanism, an acoustic context vector; and generating, as output from an output layer of the CEM, a respective confidence output score for each corresponding sub-word unit based on the confidence feature vector and the acoustic feature vector received as input by the output layer of the CEM. For each of the one or more words formed by the sequence of hypothesized sub-word units, the method also includes determining a respective word-level confidence score for the word. The method also includes determining an utterance-level confidence score by aggregating the word-level confidence scores.

    Abstract: A gas analyzer uses continuous sonic signals through a conduit to determine the composition of a gas in the conduit. A transmitting transducer drives sonic signals at a fixed frequency and a second transducer receives the sonic signals. The phase shift between two signals corresponds to the speed of sound through the gas and is related to the composition of the gas. The electronic versions of these signals are processed by lowering, or dividing, the fixed frequency which expands the range of phase shift measurement and allows the determination of an expanded range for the gas composition. In an ozone generation system, the gas analyzer is highly suitable for determining the composition of gases derived from air as a gas of known composition and a calibration point.

    Abstract: A method and system for minimizing the control overhead in a multi-carrier wireless communication network that utilizes a time-frequency resource is disclosed. By grouping applications of a similar type together within a zone, a reduction in the number of bits necessary for mapping a packet stream to a portion of the time-frequency resource can be achieved. In some embodiments, modular coding schemes associated with the packet streams may be selected that further reduce the amount of necessary control information. In some embodiments, packets may be classified for transmission in accordance with application type, QoS parameters, and other properties. In some embodiments, improved control messages may be constructed to facilitate the control process and minimize associated overhead.
