Abstract: Methods and systems are disclosed for generating recommendations for causes of computer alerts that are automatically detected by a machine learning algorithm are described. For example, the system may receive a first feature vector with an unknown alert status, wherein the first feature vector represents values corresponding to a plurality of computer states in a first computer system. The system may input the first feature vector into an artificial neural network, wherein the artificial neural network is trained to detect a known alert status based on a set of training data comprising labeled feature vectors corresponding to the known alert status, and wherein the artificial neural network is trained to detect conditional expectations the plurality of computer states in an inputted feature vector.

Abstract: A distributed biometric vehicle entry system is configured to provide personalized biometric authentication for vehicle entry. The system utilizes an authentication token private key challenge generated a biometric wireless vehicle entry keypad, or a passive device such as a smartphone or fob, such that it would be insufficient for an intruder to simply jump the circuit with an external battery. The biometric authentication may be localized to an embedded system within the biometric vehicle entry keypad, and may be self-contained from all other vehicle systems with a wireless vehicle interface and independent power supply. The vehicle may grant access responsive to receiving the authentication token (and only the authentication token) whenever a valid biometric signature is recognized.

Abstract: A set of lift controls may be configured to determine the load on the motor (112) by a vehicle of an unknown weight during operation at a standard lift speed and use such information to determine a potential speed that the motor may raise the vehicle at while staying within safe operational levels for the motor. One or more of a magnitude of electrical power drawn, a pressure generating by a hydraulic lifting, or a sensed vehicle weight may be used to provide an indication of load on the motor and/or a higher potential speed.

Abstract: A multi-table data validation tool is run following migration of data from a source database to a target database. The multi-table data validation tool extracts data from source and target locations into memory, transforms data and masks confidential data as needed, then performs two types of data comparison, including row count and data content comparison. Result files of each comparison are available to the migration team, enabling updates and improvements to the migration tools. The multi-table data validation tool may further be used to extract requested data from either the source database or the target database. The multi-table data validation tool may be dockerized as a container for ease of deployment in different environments.

Abstract: Components for an endoscopic vessel harvesting system suitable for harvesting target vessels such as the saphenous vein or radial artery for cardiac artery bypass graft surgery. The main components of such systems include a vessel dissector and a vessel harvester, both of which work in conjunction with a separately provided endoscope. The vessel dissector is an elongated cannula having a blunt tip for separating layers of facial around vessels. The tip may be movable, and is typically transparent to permit viewing forward of the tip using the endoscope. Internal features of the tip may reduce glare back to the endoscope. Several devices improve visibility through the tip by reducing interference from tissue or fluid on the tip. The vessel harvester also has an elongated cannula for receiving the endoscope. Several tools within the harvester permit manipulation, severing, and sealing of vessels forward of the distal end.

Abstract: An ink for marking living tissue, the ink comprising: a carrier; an analgesic; an antiseptic; an antihistamine; and a coloring agent. A method of preparing an ink formulation for marking living tissue, comprising the steps of: mixing the pharmaceutically accepted carrier, analgesic, antiseptic, and antihistamine to form a carrier preservative compound; adding the pharmaceutically accepted coloring agent to the carrier preservative compound; mixing the pharmaceutically accepted coloring agent to the carrier preservative compound to form said ink formulation. A carrier preservative compound for removing ink from living tissue comprising: a carrier; an analgesic; an antiseptic; and an antihistamine.

Abstract: Disclosed herein, a pneumatic tire having a tread portion is described. The tread portion includes a generally circumferentially extending groove defined therein. The groove has a groove cross-section defined by a groove bottom, a first groove sidewall, hand a second groove sidewall. The second groove sidewall is opposite and substantially parallel to the first groove sidewall. The groove has a groove width defined between the first groove sidewall and the second groove sidewall. A plurality of stone rejectors extend between the first groove sidewall and the second groove sidewall. Each stone rejector in the plurality of stone rejectors is circumferentially spaced from an adjacent stone rejector. Each stone rejector includes a raised platform and a protrusion. The raised platform extends axially from the first groove sidewall to the second groove sidewall. The protrusion extends from a top surface of the raised platform.

Abstract: A vehicle seating assembly is provided that includes a pivot bracket coupled to a vehicle floor and disposed at a front of a seat frame, a gear assembly and a locking disk assembly disposed around an axis of rotation defined by the pivot bracket, wherein the gear assembly and the locking disk assembly are configured to each alternatively move the seating assembly from a sitting position to a standing position, and a track assembly disposed on the vehicle floor and between opposing side brackets of a seat frame. The track assembly includes a cam assembly movable between a locked position and an unlocked position. The vehicle seating assembly further includes a crank assembly extending between the pivot bracket and the cam assembly and configured to move the cam assembly from the locked position to the unlocked position.

Abstract: A ragger system for removing solid debris from a pulper vessel of a pulping system is disclosed. The ragger system includes a ragger operable to pull a tail of solid debris from the pulper vessel. The ragger includes a puller mechanism, a puller drive, a rider roll, and a pressure device to adjust a pressure of the rider roll on the tail between the puller mechanism and the rider roll. The ragger system includes a measurement device for determining attributes of the tail, operating conditions of the pulping system or ragger, or combinations of these. The ragger system includes a control system that measures input variables with the measurement devices, determines the attributes of the tail or operating conditions from the input variables, and adjusts a withdrawal rate, pull direction, pressure, rider roll torque or speed, or combinations thereof to maintain continuity of operation of the ragger.

Abstract: Prefabricated modular accessory dwelling unit kits, methods of converting an interior space into an accessory dwelling unit, and plumbing panel wall assemblies are disclosed. In some embodiments, the prefabricated modular accessory dwelling unit kits include a plumbing panel assembly and a plurality of wall panels. In some embodiments, the methods include attaching a plumbing panel assembly, attaching a plurality of wall panels, and attaching one or more pairs of adjacent wall panels together. In some embodiments, the plumbing panel assembly includes side walls and end walls that collectively define a plumbing panel interior compartment therebetween and a plurality of pipes disposed within the plumbing panel interior compartment.

Abstract: A recessed downlight fixture and method for installation is provided. The recessed downlight fixture can be installed in a retrofit application, after a ceiling is installed, through a pre-existing opening in that ceiling. Alternatively, a recessed downlight fixture according to a second embodiment can be installed before a ceiling is present. In either embodiment, the light source coupled to, for example, a heat sink, can be universally moved in three degrees of movement, rotationally, along a tilt axis, or further within the ceiling to increase or decrease the recess. All such universal adjustments can take place through and below the ceiling opening during or after installation.

Abstract: The following is an apparatus and a method that enables the automated collection and identification of airborne particulate matter comprising dust, pollen grains, mold spores, bacterial cells, and soot from a gaseous medium comprising the ambient air. Once ambient air is inducted into the apparatus, aerosol particulates are acquired and imaged under a novel lighting environment that is used to highlight diagnostic features of the acquired airborne particulate matter. Identity determinations of acquired airborne particulate matter are made based on captured images. Abundance quantifications can be made using identity classifications. Raw and summary information are communicated across a data network for review or further analysis by a user. Other than routine maintenance or subsequent analyses, the basic operations of the apparatus may use, but do not require the active participation of a human operator.

Abstract: A positron emission tomography (PET) imaging system may include a plurality of detector units. Each detector unit may include a scintillator that converts gamma rays to visible light. Each detector unit also includes a sensor with single-photon avalanche diodes (SPADs) such as a silicon photomultiplier. To improve performance of the sensor, a plurality of pyramidal shaped recesses may be formed over each SPAD. The pyramidal shaped recesses may have sidewalls at an angle such that incident light from the scintillator has a higher transmittance to the semiconductor substrate of the sensor.

Abstract: In an embodiment, autonomous vehicles with global positioning systems (GPS) are used for field inspection to reduce fuel and labor costs and improve reliability with increased consistency in field crop inspection. A vehicle may be programmed to traverse a field while using sensors to detect objects and operating in a first image capture mode, for example, capturing low-resolution images of objects in the field, typically crops. Under program control, machine vision techniques are used with the low-resolution images to recognize crops, non-crop plant material or undefined objects. Under program control, location data is used to correlate recognized objects with digitally stored field maps to resolve whether a particular object is in a location at which crop planting is expected or not expected.

Abstract: A transmitter device includes a neutron detector structured to generate electrical current from neutron flux, an oscillator circuit having an electrostatic switch electrically connected to the neutron detector, and an antenna electrically connected with the electrostatic switch. The oscillator circuit is structured to pulse the antenna. The antenna is structured to emit a signal corresponding to a number of characteristic values of the oscillator circuit.

Abstract: This system is directed to a mobile platform having a power array carried by the mobile platform, connected to a distribution hub adapted to provide power to a base power source; an input controller having input computer readable instructions adapted to deliver power to a set of storage units from the base power source, the set of storage power units carried by the mobile platform; an output controller connected to the set of storage units having output computer readable instructions adapted to receive charge requirements from a load connected to the output controller, retrieving from a device lookup table included in the output controller a load type having charge specifications and delivering power to the load according to the charge specifications; and, an external power source connected to the distribution bus for proving power to the base power source from the external power source.

Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a system or method that collects or otherwise accesses information indicating connection patterns such as IP addresses being utilized by communication devices for communication services over a time period, where the communication devices use a same credential of a single account for accessing the communication services. Hubs can be identified according to groups of the communication devices that exhibit a particular sharing pattern such as having used the one or more common IP addresses. A prediction or estimation that the single account is engaging in sharing activity can be made based on an analysis of the hubs, such as based on a number of the hubs. Other embodiments are disclosed.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure relate to adjusting an illumination of a user depicted in one or more images when using a video conferencing application. In one example, one or more images depicting the user may be received from an image sensor. Further, an illumination of the user depicted in the one or more images may be determined to be unsatisfactory. For example, the user's face may be too bright or too dim. Accordingly, content displayed at a display device may identified and then modified. The modified content may then be rendered to a display device thereby changing the illumination of the user depicted in subsequent images. In examples, the modified content may include a graphical element, such as a ring of a specific color at least partially surrounding content rendered to and displayed at the display device.

Abstract: An apparatus is provided for fusing bones of the human body. The apparatus comprises a bone plate which generally is a member having one or more fixation apertures, configured to receive fasteners, and an insert aperture. The bone plate comprises a semi-rigid material, such as a biocompatible metal or Polyetheretherketone (PEEK), possessing a tensile strength suitable for immobilizing bones. A convertible insert is configured to be retained within the insert aperture. The convertible insert is configured to optimally direct a fastener towards a chosen point of purchase for fixating or compressing bones. In some embodiments, the insert is configured to direct a fastener at an oblique angle relative to a plane of the fusion plate. In some embodiments, the insert is configured to direct a fastener at a substantially right angle relative to the fusion plate.
